Bryan, I am a new user and have watched a ton of youtube video's and I have to say "this is one of the best that I have seen. I can't thank you enough. Hope to see more". Great Job!
Thank you, Brian! Really great presentation and details. With your help I setup my PrusaSlicer 2.4.0 for the first time and inserted my sample part and review its layers along with the software options. Our 3-d printer is PRUSA i3 MK3. I can't wait to lay my hands on it and try to print my first part. Thanks again!
Great video. Thank You. I made just very first printout using PrusaSlicer version 2.3.3 on my Anycubic i3 MegaX printer. I chose to use generic ABS filament. Before I was using Cura slicer 4.11 i believe. Since Anycubic is MegaX is not defined, I had to setup my printer. It was not much to do since I used i3Mega as reference and had just to increase print volume parameters X,Y, Z. I had also modify filament temperatures. system value for print-bed is 105 - 115C which is perfect for ABS, but Anycubic I3Mega doesn't go more than 90C which is a weakness of this printer, however it is possible to print with ABS using this temperature. I increased also nozzle temp to 260C just by my experience on filament I have in my stock. Print was OK, good quality. I noticed that system speeds presets in PrusaSlicer are more aggressive than in Cura, so printer moves faster but my printer could afford such settings which was very positive surprise for me. So I started to use PrusaSlicer for a while to see which slicer will be better for what I am doing.
More prusaslicer tips pls. Loved the video. Currently I'm using prusaslicer on most projects but I occasionally use cura for tree supports. Hoping that prusaslicer gets that feature soon so I don't need cura.
Thanks for the feedback! It was a bit more verbose than I had planned, but hopefully it gives you a good insight into navigating the software! Welcome to 3D printing!
another quick tip I picked up from Makers Muse is that after you’ve sliced, you can do down to the bottom and tick the box for showing seams. They will show up as white dots on the sliced model.
Thanks. This clears up some confusion I had about it. I wanted to try out prusaslicer on my desktop for my new Ender 2 pro but it's a bit different than cura and I need to clean up cura on my laptop. I have too many profiles and things saved for my ender 3 s1 and starting fresh on my pc was the lazier solution lol. The e2 pro will also stay upstairs near my pc anyways instead of in the shop with my other printer where the laptop usually stays. There's a few features about prusas that I like better than cura so far. It does seem to be beneficial to have both or even more than these two slicers. I really like the tree supports in cura but painting on supports in specific areas seems super handy.
This was an awesome video, thank you so much! I just finished building my Prusa i3 mk3s+ kit, and now starting to get familiar with the PrusaSlicer so I can perfect some test prints. Looking forward to more videos from you :)
Yeah I agree the basic settings. You can go a lot deeper especially with the filament overrides and gcodes. To allow you to create specific filament settings without having to mess with the printer or print settings
Hi sir this tutorial has helped me alot but i have a small problem when the print completes instead of the bed going down a couple few centimetres it goes completely down i use an ender 5 plus please help me with this
SUGGESTION: This was excellent. I'm coming from Cura to PS. Can you cover some of the more advanced features if they exist in PS. Like Combing, Ironing, Adaptive layer height, etc. Linear Advance? Is there anything in Marlin like Klipper's Input Shaper and Pressure Advance?
Great Video Bryan. I downloaded Prusa the other day, I will go through it with while watching this video. I've been a S3d Guy for 4 years or so now. Time to move on.I was hoping to see an Amazing Benchy at End,but my Excitement went away after seeing you had issues. So you get an 8 out of 10 on this video.. lol.
Thank You. This was helpful am looking for a slicer to do my first print. I have a BIOQ-1 and haven't found anything that supports it yet. This looks promising.
I've been using cura for ever until... lol Disappointed in the latest version. I thought my printer(s) was having issues. After replacing several parts. I tried PS. And up and printing again. It was the updated cura messing up my prints.. Changed and won't look back.
awesome video. After seeing your results what retraction length do you settle on from the 2 mentioned in the video. Also, did you adjust your Lift Z. Thanks for the help.
Hello nice video. Please how do I get there temperature sensor readings from a print. I know the M105 returns that value. But how do I extract it . Can I store it in the SD card or any other option?
15:38 so is there not an option to have it auto play so you can see movements without having to drag the bar along? In cura you can click play to see all movements for each layer if you want, as well as play entire print from start to finish. Does PrusaSlicer not have this feature?
im using the stock MK3S profile for almost all my printers and just change the retraction and the build volume and the nozzle size, im using a modified start and end script of the mk3s also for all the printers, i followed toms video of how to setup and it works amazing....best prints ever from my mingda d2...
do you know why on the print estimate time for an object im printing, prusa says, "3 hours" but when i go to print it on an ender 3 s1 it says, "50 hours"
Aw, you jumped from setting it up to showing it print :(, How do you get the printer to be seen? Mine just says "export G code". There's no printer. I have the Prusa i3 MK3 and can print nothing.
My first exposure to PrusaSlicer was plagued with trying to figure out the units. I made a precise model in Blender and imported it into PrusaSlicer, and depending on the scaling it was either horribly small or so big slicer failed to load. I'm still trying to figure out how the slicer interprets the units. Other than that it seems like a great slicer.
Lost you completely at 30:44 to 31:25. Serious lack of what the heck is going on here, was doing mediocre up here. Re running through I now realise I have not got a clue how to use this slicer and it's 'printer' 'filament' and 'print settings' dropdowns, they seem to change one another, and seems you have no idea what change in one changes the other. This really is totally confusing, how can you use a slicer where one option change can change another in a different window/tab. You just do not have any clue as to where you are when. Bryan, have I missed something very elemental here or would you say you have not go something quite correct, as if this operates exactly as you have explained then it is totally unusable in this state with any kind of confidence in what is actually going on where when. Many thks in advance.
I installed the slicer a few days ago. For as much of a tech guy as I am, I feel this video is very necessary. It is short and to the point.
As a very new 3D printer user, I found this video invaluable to understanding the processes involved. Thank you.

Yes, I've tried PrusaSlicer 2.3 and the "paint on" features are a real game changer. I can't wait to see what's coming down the line.
tyvm, clear, complete and straight to the point. just what we needed
Great video. Thank You.

Very good video Bryan! You did a great job going through the details! I might switch from Cura!!
Thank you! For this video. I have found I learn much quicker with classroom like instruction.
bro actually thank you sooooo much you saved my life.
Thank you for the vid. I loaded this and haven’t had such nice prints. Awesome
Just found your channel. Just got started 3d printing. This is a really excellent video. Good detail, and I learned a lot. Nice work!
Thanks for the feedback! It was a bit more verbose than I had planned, but hopefully it gives you a good insight into navigating the software! Welcome to 3D printing!
I also just bought the MK3S+. Great guide. super helpful for beginners

THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING THIS awesome video. im new to 3d printing after watching this i actually learned something. thank you
Great feature details to help in creating better Prusa prints!
Simple, clear, and informative. Great video!
I just started over the weekend and I’m using prusa. I definitely have some tuning to do but it’s a whole different world from resin printing lol
Hope your doing well Bryan. Come back soon!

Thanks for the review - nice walk through of the basic settings.

What is this prusha you speak of?
Hi sir this tutorial has helped me alot but i have a small problem when the print completes instead of the bed going down a couple few centimetres it goes completely down i use an ender 5 plus please help me with this

Can you share the Facebook page for this channel so we can get all ins & outs ?
Thanks for making video so well explained with rich contents .
I've been using cura for ever until... lol

thanks bro. i am using pla material and i want to control it to be air proof what setting shall i change and increase for that goal?
Hello nice video. Please how do I get there temperature sensor readings from a print. I know the M105 returns that value. But how do I extract it . Can I store it in the SD card or any other option?
I have the kobra max. What settings do you suggest? Tfs.

How do I convert prusa instructions/settings to cura? Or, how can I make prusaslicer work with an ultimaker 3?

When referencing the difference between bowden and.. you kept saying all-metal hotend, did you mean direct drive?
sorry but after seeing this video I dumped my other slicers and only using Prusa now THANKS!!!!
where is the video for all the other options?
good video
Hello
How can change a downloaded item to stl file , it is downloaded as a Zip File .So the prusa is not accepting it .
hi! if i have a prusa printer, will the settings automatically be adjusted? or will i have to do the settings?

If I have a different brand of printer
How do install a profile that works better for my printer
Unable to make the PRUSA slicer the default with my Windows 10 system. System wants to go to CURA which has removed from my computer.
🤔, somehow I misses the download of the test file (Benchy). Teacher didn't tell me all the things I needed to bring to class... 🤔
'''great job,better then the rest
Is there a way to print from USB?
How to select material you want for your model?
Hello! After exporting the file, how did you do to print it? Thanks!
After you slice you put that file on a USB drive usually and plug it in to the printer to print from there

There’s no H in Prusa. It’s pronounced Proo-sa.
