I love this interview. She is very well spoken. What Nathalie said about Jesus is so true. Spending 47 years in WT, was NOT like this. It was micro managing and man made rules. "Considerate " is a word that she used to describe Jesus. This is the way we all should have felt in the organization. The shunning is hurtful and cruel. It has destroyed so many lives/families and sadly, made many to do the unthinkable. No one wants to be an outcast. Especially, when dealing with difficult times. Shunning is the most cruel, brutal, and idiotic move against a brother and sister in the faith. How can this apply to what the Bible says that we should love one another?, It is unchristian to the highest degree.

Nathalie, I am not at all surprised that you woke up. I knew you and Erik when you were going through Gilead (we were in the same congregation) and your humility and love were notable to my wife and I. Those of us who are of that mindset cannot endure forever in the Watchtower, which is antithetical to both humility and love. I do hope that I can get reacquainted with you and your husband and share in our newfound Christian freedom.

What started me to wake up was an assembly in Florida. It was around 2018. The speaker at the assembly was mentioned new "truths" and than talked about past "truths". I thought to my self how can they call past beliefs past truths. Evidently they were never the truth in the first place. I mentioned it in the car group on the way home. Needless to say they reacted like I was an apostate. This started me the the road to waking up. It took about a year but I finally realized this isn't God's organization as they claimed. I was being brained washed from the time I was a child. So happy to finally be free from this organization. The Bible says "you will know the truth and the truth will set you free"
What he said about past truths was that they now have new light so that the "truth" in the past was no longer true.
The scripture says the light gets brighter and brighter, its not one light off and another on. New light this year is basically a flip flop. Paradise earth book in hard cover i believe pg 179. As far as beards and no service time for rank and file may have something to do with government money's. How ever if its not scriptural for rank and file, why for pioneers don't they believe they will be honest enough to check the appropriate pioneer box?? After all the slip they use has plenty of room.
I agree. I went to assemblies in Tampa Florida before I moved to New Zealand. I woke up in new Zealand during the plandemic.

I'm glad this lady thinks she hasn't wasted her life with that cult , but I feel ( at 68 ) that I HAVE wasted my life on a bunch of garbage and lies .
Never think your life is wasted in genuine service of God. He knows that we were blinded and deceived. But in that respect, he sees our hearts when we serve him, even when we serve in a way that we later discovered to be wrong. The path you've experienced, is a valuable one, for what you can give to others which they will never experience, and through you, they can learn to avoid such experiences. :)

I was in the org for 40 years.. 4 generations of very strict JW’s! I missed out on a lot of things growing up, but had I not been raised in it, I wouldn’t have the experience or knowledge to be able to HELP others wake up & keep others from joining!! God uses us where he needs us!! Nothing is ever a waste.. just depends on how you want to look at it & what you do with it. I’m now 70 & hope to help many others in the future! If we don’t EXPOSE watchtower, who will?!?!

I love the part in vs 35 where it says. “ When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, He found the man..”.

I wish that was my mom sitting on that couch. My mom is 80 years old now and both my parents are full in and dad is an elder and she does what he says or else. She still works at our local subway at 80 years old on top of having blood cancer!! I know my mom knows the truth about things but my dad keeps her and the rest of my family away from me only because I don’t believe what they do anymore! I live a good happy clean life. I’m married with 5 children and this last Christmas I decided to have a tree in our house and because elders drove past my house and seen the lights now my parents won’t even come into my home. There missing out on there grandkids and my oldest boy is 14 now and was studying with my dad for 4 years and decided he didn’t want to anymore and he hasn’t seen my dad since they stopped studying and it’s so hurtful and sad to see my boy feeling this way but I’ve explained things the best I can. But we as my own family now are (worldly) people that they don’t want to be around anymore and I know the elders are putting A lot on my parents because they didn’t even come to my own wedding and it literally broke my heart and I ended up crying and going to bed by myself on my wedding night because they embarrassed me and that was the most pain I’ve ever felt!! I’m growing and raising my kids the right way and let them make there own choices in life when there old enough. Dad use to tell me I wasn’t going to see 20 years old and now I’m almost 40 and nothing has changed other then the org joining the devil (internet) I’m so sorry for the ones still stuck in because of family but trust me I lost almost all my family but I have gained a new one that loves me unconditionally not like witnesses wearer your in or your not. If your not your better off dead to the rest even your family but there are other loves in our lives we need to find and mine was my wife and kids! They keep me alive and going every day ❤ thanks so much for your insight I really appreciate it and I hope more people wake up and listen to people who love u! Not men that don’t care

We were trained not to think our own thoughts. Looking back at it all I can say is wow! Look how much control the organisation had on us that we weren't allowed anything as basic as freedom of thought!😢
I was a single sister with 3 children and I was picked on constantly elders called me names they told a circuit overseer that I visited New York when I was 51 years old first time on aeroplane when circuit overseer was in platform he started shouting Some people go to newyork Looking for Happiness e looked at me saying Maby you have enough Allready all I did was go on a holiday it was a small congregation bout 40 or 50 in the hall they all heard him other elders old call me names I would feel sick before meetings so I had to leave my hometown and a council house and rent a place 2hours away those Enemies the elders wrote a letter of introduction so I was not welcomed there either I ask can I see what’s written down about me they say to me yOU will never see it they do not know how the other elders treated me so I am quietly Enduring now I’m 70 years old and feel very Sad 😢

I personally felt the non support of the congregation as a mother trying to raise her children as Jehovah's Witness with an inactive husband. People kept telling me, what I was feeling was not true. This is the first interview of an elders wife who discussed her distress over how women are treated if they were not connected to an active husband. Thank you for that validation.

Hi what a nice interview I'd like to know more about the zoom meetings though if possible
Our zoom meetings are simple bible studies. One person (man or woman) conducts much as a conductor conducts an orchestra. In other words, they ensure an orderly development of the theme by asking for comments.
We read from the assigned portion of the bible and after reading a few verses, the conductor asks for comments. All are encouraged to comment based on the material under consideration. That's pretty much the sum total of it all.
The schedule is posts here along with buttons to enable anyone to join the zoom meeting.

As a missionary labouring hard in a strange land to hear Geofry Jackson say that they are not so presumptuous to claim to be god's channel must have been life shattering for this woman. Her entire purpose in life suddenly destroyed in a moment and having to reshape her life must have been the ultimate challenge. That she still posseses such poise and peace after such an ordeal demonstrates her depth of love for God and truth.
Thank you for your kind words. Although I wasn't a missionnary anymore when I heard those words, it's true that hearing the lies of the GB has been disturbing, extremely disappointing and painful. But what an eye-opener !

Hello ! If you mean what did I feel about the fact that they had arranged the UN Tour, well... I was certainly surprised... but I didn't make much of it ... at the time !
Let's keep in mind that in those days, we (my husband and I) were fully in the organization, and plus having been invited to Gilead was a huge privilege, we were over the moon ! Our frame of mind was like : "They must have a good reason for doing so !" They had our full trust.
But finally, our eyes did open in the end. We are so grateful !

The leaders of the JWS twist logic and bible scripture to their own biased appeal in that they are receiving spiritual light upon Jah's chosen time, so any of are false teachings are still righteous and sanctioned, they are not to be put to question or debated even using the words of Jesus or scripture.
