- #lakeerie #walleye #walleyefishing We fished between kelleys island and Perrys monument southbass.
For the last week or so the bite has been awsome! Pretty much everyone limiting out on real nice walleye in the 4-6lb range on average. Pretty good number of 6 to 7.5lb fish to. Not many at all over 10lbs.
We have been limited to the afternoon bite which was almost non existant at times. Morning hours have been best by far.
Trolling a mix of p10's and bandits 30/30 with 2 ounces of weight and running bandits 80-125 without weight was pretty much the normal in this area.
Boat traffic got cut in half towards the afternoon allowing us to troll pretty much any angle we wanted to. Downside was the bite was cut back 50 percent making it a struggle to pull fish.
White based lures running 1.1-1.2mph on the fishhawk was our best.
I dont think it really mattered what color you ran as long as it was white or flashy.
If your at all interested in any of the colors I run i'll leave the link below to his facebook page where you can find his color charts.
The only reason I use his colors i
s because the details in his work is by far way better than I have seen from the other 100 or so custom painters.
Ill go with quality anytime.

!!KEEP ON FISHIN!!
NICE VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARING! Will half to get out there early this year Thanks for sharing.
Great video Tom! The thing I enjoy most, is that you fellas fish to eat. Your not out there playing to the camera doin those so called education videos (catch and release) BS. Your also not afraid to give "real time" fishing info like lures, depth, amout of line out etc. My new to me boat is still in storage and its killin me LOL! got about 3 more weeks till I can get it out of there
Decent haul ,best eating white fish taco's ever
I've heard of fish tacos allot but Ive yet to try it.
I always enjoy your videos. I fish out of East Harbor and Huron, probably 90 days a year. Thank you for being a true sportsman and sharing details of your program and location. I'll definitely be picking up some of those Organ Donor custom lures. My hats off to you.
Thanks shane, alot of people out there don't like em cause im not detail specific but oh well tons more people love em. I make the vids for myself and for the family to reflect on when we're long dead and gone. Memories forever! Glad u like watching them!
I sure do like watching your videos
Great job guys hopefully one of these days we can run each other share stories keep at it boys doing a great job …..
Thanks for the reply. Should be back at it again shortly
Great Job Captain. Got my limit on western basin March 20th using one of your fav colors but it was on a DDHJ that was the only bait they wanted.
Great video as usual!! Love that you show us the bait colors!
Tanker!! Thanks for the video.
Thanks Alot! Been a awsome year so far.
Awesome video dude! New subscriber from Oklahoma 🤙🔥
Thanks!! Fishhhh-ownnnn!!
So great to see you guy's back at it. I just want to say thank you so much for all your information that you give out. Awesome job as always. Hopefully we will be able to be there April 2nd.
Love your videos. Looking at fishing around Catawba in early spring since Lake Erie on the PA side is closed. Any advice where to launch, and the month to run cranks? Not looking for your spots or anyone elses, just needing advice again for a public launch and time of year to fish around the islands.
Thank you, Bill
catawba state park and mazurik sate park in marblehead. march, april and may are the best times to pull crankbaits. Deadeyes, bandits, reefrunners, husky jerks etc, etc.
Where have you been 2023 haven't seen no fishing trolling or jigging from you
I've been running charters. Seems as if it's completely took over my time.
@@TripleSwalleye okay thanks for the information I'm watching one of your videos right now lake Erie trolling
Some really nice Spring Eyes!
Thank you sir!
Another fine day fishing with ole dad! Organ donor lures are hot.
Hope things are well with you
I live in PA and would like to start fishing for walleye in late feb and march but dont feel like driving to Catawba area. Was wondering if you could pick up decent walleye out of Cleveland that early. Does anyone have any thoughts on that?
Good to see ya out getting some fish .do you know if you can keep walleyes this time of the year on erie in ny or is it just ohio. Live in eastern ny n cant seem to get the right info . Thanks
Would love to see some hands on fishing. Good job though.
What reels are you using. If you don't mind me asking 😄🎣✌️
Okuma cv 30's
Great video ! Trying to understand the 30 plus method with P10’s and shallow bandits . I guess you are not using the 50 plus method on the precision app ? Is there another app or techniques I need to learn ? Haven’t seen the 30 plus method , obviously it works . I see you are trying to hit 24 ft depth . Thx for info .
I've been using the trollmaster app. Its really not as user friendly like the pricision trolling app but it goes into alot more details as far as using weights. Bad thing is you gotta pay for a monthly subscription.
@@TripleSwalleye put a 2 oz inline weight on that take 8 foot plus down one foot per quarter oz .
Hey Tom, would you like to share what fishing line and test weight you use. I'm using 10 lbs test fire line because of the precision trolling app. I struggle looping it around my clips to keep it from slipping. I did buy better clips and etc. I'm using fire line instead of the XT because of covid inventory. I'm going to put on 10 lbs XT the next time by using the precision trolling app.
We ran 30# powerpro for about 17 years but the last four years we've been running 40# powerpro. The 30# will let you dig a bit deeper with cranks. Why we use 40# is because its so much easier to handle as far as putting on boards snaps or whatever. The older we get the harder it is to see.
We've never lost any tackle do to snags and it lasts for a long long time. As far as dive curves go, i use the trollmaster app on my phone. The trollmaster app has more line weight diameters to chose from. Its a little harder to get used to than the precision trolling app but i favor it over the precision trolling app. Especially when running snap weights ahead of my cranks.
Thanks so much for all the information, it's a big help. And I agree with getting older and harder to see with putting the boards on.
Thanks so much!
Good videos. What are you running for rods?
8' 6" medium walleye series rods we bought from cabelas a long long time ago. Not shure what they have now
Forgot to ask if you are using 2 oz weight or 3 oz snap on weight ? Thx again
2ounce
Thank you for your reply ! Will try it out down here in arkansas!

We launch out of Walnut Creek and catch monsters
Slaunch donkey behemoth tankers!!
Can’t wait for the first trip to Erie of the year. I need to feel a big tug
The 2 get er done guys put the hooks in the mouth and the fish in the boat
What's the matter with your longs dude? You got that Tony soprano thing going on.
Mic not set right
What was your boat speed ?
1.1-1.2
I wasn't able to watch the video until now ..
U late! Sheesh!
That new rod seems to be a bunch stiffer than the older rods you've been running
It is and i don't like it at all
@@TripleSwalleye I noticed when you went to pull it over to attach weight and boards that it didnt flex over hardly at all. Might be a good dipsy rod though
It would be nice to tell people what you’re doing what you’re using how you’re setting your lines rather than just watching you catch fish
I've been bombarded with that exact same comment for years now. Maybe I should change my ways
@@TripleSwalleyewe just moved to the area, got our first boat and although I’ve fished all my life, I’m trying to learn how to on the Lake. Your videos are very good but I didn’t learn a thing other than there are fish in the Lake.
@@barddzen I agree 100%
The year is 2023 where is the RUclips fishing videos
I've been busy running charters
