3 years ago this month, my last day to fish Erie with Ross Robertson we had our 2 man limit in 37 minutes once we got through that hard 45 minute boat ride to get where he wanted to fish and the smallest fish was 25”. But I will take Green Bay fishing over trolling Erie any day!! I love jig fishing
Plenty of fish to catch. I am all for keeping and enjoying fish for dinner. However, no reason to keep the big girls that had not yet spawned. Maybe you would think differently if it was your home lake. Don’t be in a rush to come back.
Over here in lake county Ohio all we and the charters catch are little eyes Nothing big just to get a limit of 20” fish we gotta toss back 20-30 10” fish
Since you’re running those off shores with mono have you every thought about doing a method fishing411 does for releasing your boards to make it easier to clear and so you’re not fighting the board on the way back in?
Yes, if so I’ll actually set the orange clip on the front just a little bit lighter that way the fish will pull it out of the clip. Or I can give it a simple snap to allow it to release.

I guess with the right copper core line you can get the lure down to where you need it.

@@CodyS Nice! My dad has gone up there a couple time but didn’t this year. Instead we were debating on going to Green Bay but got busy so couldn’t.

Just so I can tell them apart a little easier when they are all packed in the compartment
