- First full naval scenario in a while!
In this scenario, Gajah Mada must bring western Indonesia under the control of the Majapahit. To do this, you must maintain several colonies on the unoccupied islands to the north and east, as well as conquer the rival kingdoms to the west and north. You can go full water or go for a hybrid land/water approach - whatever... floats your boat ;)

Must be nice, no one even attacks you meanwhile they send two fire ships and a galleon to wreck me almost immediately after purple expands to his island.
This campaign famously called "Sumpah Palapa" in Indonesian history
and Gadjah Mada that mentioned earlier as a University is located at Jogjakarta, a lil bit simliar in name with capital city of Indonesia which Jakarta located at West of Java, but Universitas Gadjah Mada, located in Jogjakarta which is in Middle Java, one of a top state University in Indonesia.
Jogjakarta was picked from name "Ngayojokarto" , but Jakarta ( before known as Sunda Kelapa) was the name that given by Fatahillah " Jayakarta " meaning : a perfect victory
a few missions, like this one, seem impossible for a bit but then prove very doable as one learns what to do
This playthrough is absolutely different than when I try this scenario. I almost immediately get rushed by blue with an armada fire ships and ECC. By th time I have like 10 vills my docks are destroyed.
Any advice on this? :)

I mean, the Bayinnaung campaign is basically all about trampling with elephants and monks and it's pretty fun until you get to the hell that is Old Tiger.
Did you change the AI script to disable the attack waves from green?
Among many Majapahit & Gajah Mada enemies with Kingdom in Java & Outer Java like:
1. Sunda Kingdom, A Hinduism Kingdom ally with Galuh located in DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java leader by Sri Jayabhupati
2. Dharmasraya Kingdom, a Buddhism Kingdom located in Muaro Jambi, Jambi Province
3. Tumasik Kingdom (also known named Singapore Kingdom), A Buddhism Kingdom leader by Sang Nila Utama (also known named Sri Tri Buana, when Sriwijaya Kingdom ended on 13th Century)
hey I looked up this campaign because I was having troubles with this mission and found your video, really enjoyed the gameplay and your knowledge about the history :)
I wonder if the highly fortified nature of Temasek in this scenario (bombard towers!) was inspired by the later fortification of Singapore by the British during the colonial period ("Fortress Singapore"). Temasek (Tumasik) is really an ancient name of present-day Singapore rather than the name of a people. This scenario also places Temasek on the Malay Peninsula itself rather than on its own island.

I'm watching this because I have restarted the game more than 10 times:' I'm frustrated :(
This campaign made me hate the Malay civ so much...
On what difficulty?
Mine has a terrible glitch most of the time. The settlers don't start building. I played and lost when I attempted it when there was no glitch. But as I restarted, the glitch kept happening. So I just skipped this mission.
4:50.. Gajah Mada University is in Yogyakarta, not Jakarta..
44:10.. Sriwijaya Empire is in South Sumatera, not North Sumatera..
If you want an extra challenge - block with the fish traps the point from which the settlers come.
I did it accidentally and thanks to Your video I figured out what I need to do to finish this scenario :D
But - this is one of my favorite scenarios anyway!

i was trying to rush yellow with elephants trying to kill him before he becomes a problem and steal the rest of the resources on the starting island
only to be galleon rushed at min 15 and have all the outer colonies dead by min 20. i thought that would be an instant fail. i didnt know they repopulated the islands after dying the first time
It's not worth ever making farm's for Malay if there is a lot of water. Fish farms are forever and barely more wood. And more efficient. Make like 20 fish farms and you will never run out of food and can focus your wood on galleons. Bonus points it's a nice source of gold. It gets crap overtime but if you got 10k food, even at 17 it's still 1700 gold which is a good bit.
To anyone that watches this. Don't do what ornlu does. Wood is very limited and needs to be spent on ships. Not wasted on farms when you got infinite ones. It's such a rookie mistake.
Another tip. Don't leave your walls much in this level. Sandu never bothered me if I didn't build outside. Sure made wood and gold inefficient but I'd rather that then be attacked. Besides. Moment purple builds up you can get infinite gold from them through trade. And if you keep the 2nd Colonist safe. 2 sources. Which also give a good bit in wood too.
How does the infinite food from fish traps work? Can you set up an infinite food farm in the corner and sell for gold?
This civ should have faster trade cogs than the Berbers to truly show that they are a naval civ
ya kill blue and yellow, basically what you can do is, after killing yellow, buy stone and build a castle on the corner of the island along with some harbors, this will basically prevent their fleet from attacking anything as they attack the castle and die (they never make cannon galleons thankfully); furthermore, string the southern part of the starting island with harbors as green will make landings after you deforest the southern part of your island

I dont know why Tumasik use cannon before Gajah Made made it. XD Also Gajah Mada University isnt in Jakarta, but Yogyakarta. :D

This mission was pretty frustrating but I finally beat it on moderate after strategizing.
I started of castle dropping right in the middle between me and yellow then slowly build rams, pikeman, & skirmishers to slowly move towards yellow base. After eliminating them, I just focus on galleons to move around the water destroying their fleets. Then once I got cannon galleons then it was basically over.
I started off destroying most of blue's structures and villagers (even tho they werent eliminated, they no longer had any villagers or docks to build their cannon galleons)
Then after that I went for green and destroying the whole civ from the waters and castle dropping on their island.
Thanks for the geography and history lesson. And ho to get this one finally😅
Hmmm, the cutscenes are different from the original ones.
protip: use your starting army to clear up yellow's army and towers and keep them off their forward stone. Then tower drop their stone and mine it. You can have two castles to make defense easier or just wall to keep yellow out.

What i like to do is make a castle where shown in the video and another one inside the city. dont build anything near yellow to not attract any attention from them. I turn the water between bali and my base into a fishing ground by building 2 docks, 1 in bali and 1 in my own island, then blocking the entrance by building 3 docks in front of them. because malay docks upgrade into towers, its pretty safe and i get to build 15 fish traps there, right next to my docks for instant food delivery without walking. meanwhile i boom my economy because i can fully focus my villagers on wood and gold. not efficient, maybe, but its fun 😂
In this mission I get attacked even if I don't build any building near the other dude.
You might accidentally attack their fishing ships

Maybe a video or two. I have played a fair amount of AoE3. Probs nothing more than that though
This wasnt thay difficult on hard. Just focus on getting that stone harvested and placing a castle there, as soon as that castle finished i used the market to get another 650 stone and built a castle right between me and yellow, on my side of the line though so they wouldnt send units until it was built and shooting back, i also made sure to grab ballistics, murder holes and heated shot right away, ornlu doesnt ever do this but its totally fine to use the market and bankrupt yourself to get things you need, because its only a very temporary bankruptcy. Be sure to not invest to heavily into fishing ships, i stopped around 10 and started building farms. Dont forget to use blacksmith and fully upgrade towers n castles, then work on getting imp n fully upgrading navy, by then you should be boomin. Theres plenty of gold and stone, by putting up that castle between yellow n you early on, you stop them from harvesting the stone on there side. I was never short on gold or stone. Then i built a navy and crushed blue, but blue is annoying and didnt resign until i killed EVERYTHING, 7 champions sitting on a beach near one of my ally villages, once i killed those, they surrendered.
I beat this one by building a base on the island with the relic on it while my enemies attacked my original base...then i destroyed blues base on that island...and at that point i just started grinding them down with cannon galleons

Eu fiquei travado por que so sobrou duas colonias . So consegui vencer por que mudei a postura dos roxo para inimigo e converti um navio de transporte deles e tirei os aldeões do navio para que criasem um mercado .
I been stuck in this mission since forever
Eu fiquei preso por que faltava 1 colônia e ninguém a construía . Por sorte tinha um navio de transporte dos roxos com aldeões. Então mudei a postura a eles para inimigo e usei um monge para converter o navio e então fiz os aldeões desembarcaram aí eles construíram uma base nova e um mercado aí venci.

Is stupid how this game only trows infinite units to attack you literrally seconds after starting the match and you get destroyed also who desing this style of making the player alone fight against 5 or 6 factions at the same time feels like playing online alone vs 5 people with their own bases and units thats cheating this game would be so easy if it was not so retarded on infinite AI enemies non stop
