Many people say Eminem is the best rapper, I say he should do an album with Mike, and fort Minor. I've been bopping to you for years Mike. From your first few albums and encores with Linkin Park and Jay Z, to The Rising Tied. You're one of the few role models and inspirations as to why I rap to this days.
Eddy X Mike truly is one of the most underrated rappers. I really don't listen to rap unless it's LP or Fort Minor. I really can't stand most rappers nowadays, it's usually always the same. Mike at least talks about the real stuff.
Tessa Isaacs Try old school rap. Alt and rock isn't rap. Try RA the rugged man, Immortal Technique, eminem, D12, Slick Rick, Wu tang, and you just keep building.
The issue is Eminem doesn’t talk about anything anymore. Sure, he knows how to use words in creative ways.. but he’s lost a lot of meaning in his song.
See, this shows how good Mike Shinoda really is at making songs. Especially @ rap. The composition of each song he makes is perfect. Just listen to LP, FM and Xero tracks. You'll know what I mean.

Facts dude. Just saw this mentioned on reddit. I have been following fort minor and listening to his stuff since I was a kid man. Can't believe I passed this song up....
@@DaveThaBossDTB Same, i think im way younger than u but i got into rap thanks to Fort Minor and mshinoda, ive been listening to all these lost tracks since i discovered them and they're fire !!!
I love how peaple make fun of him. I mean he's made so many songs talking about how he could really care less and you shouldn't waste your time insulting him... Yet here peaple are... Making fun of him.. *shakes head* your only proving him right. Love you Mike~~
Ye Mike Shinoda is way better then any other rapper out there. he dosent talk about killing people or stupid stuff.its all about actually peoples lives that he has seen or about fun stuff mike has all my respect.
Well, he does have several songs about how people have put him down or tried to claim ownership of his own work in the past which are true experiences. I don't really see that as bragging though, more like venting. And that tends to be what a lot of artists sing about so you can't really single him out. Besides, a lot of listens like myself can relate to these experiences and therefor enjoy the message.
funny you should say that because I came to this video directly after listening to "The way I am" I was like, you know what this makes me wanna listen to? Some good 'ol Fort Minor
They're different but none the less both of em write the truth , no bullshit bout cash n cars . Marshall is awesome and so is Mike , they are one of my favorite rappers out there
Who are you talking about?! If your talking about mike....then really, he's not whining. He actually gives a crap about the world and doesn't pretend everything is perfect like tons of other people do. O ya, and he also has an opinion. If you don't care about it, then don't listen, and don't comment. Comments are meant to be positive, or a warning like this: If you can't understand real hip-hop music, then you won't like this.
Listen to "Skin to bone" from LP's new album - Recharged (Nick Catchdubs Remix feat. Cody B Ware and Ryu). This might keep your hopes up for new FM album ;)
A very small amount of any artists income comes from album sales. Artists make all their money on tours and through merchandise sales. And with the advent of I-tunes, artists are finding it much easier and more profitable to sell their music digitally. The days of the cd and other physical mediums are coming to an end. Only the small, collector population will continue to buy physical copies, most of those being vinyl, as there has been a resurgence of records
If your here in 2024 you a real of just shows how Mike is one of the realest wish he would come back to this rhythm but he is involving into nothing crazy I just know it
He raps about the japanese citizens in the US being imprisoned in concentration camps. He raps about a wife and family missing the father who is always gone. He raps about being appreciative of your own life because there's always other people have it worse off. So no, its not obvious unless you're pointing out that he doesn't rap about drugs and sex. And I'm into a lot of things, some rap included.
mike is prolly 1 of my fav rappers, along with the jurassic 5 dudes, n eminem is gud 2 and 2pac, mike tells more storys in his lyrics, eminem can do that 2 (stan) different syles, both gr8, mike is a less profile rapper, never has any huge names in his songs so he stays connected with his underground roots
and every time I'd was pissed off at some kid I'd get home draw a little sketch of any kid i hated with a knife in the neck a pencil in the eye and a hole in the back, i had a back pack of six sketches like that, LOOOOOOOL AWESOME!
^_^ It's like how many people, including myself, enjoy going to science fiction and action blockbusters. We recognize that they aren't artsy independent films but that does not make them any less entertaining or even any less culturally significant.
@aymendrk at least the hip hop vein is.....how cool it'd be to hear FM's hip hop vein mixed with a nice metal instrumental......assuming it'd fit of course....
i love how he's so honest in these lyrics n not tryin 2 act all badass, i really respect that about him! mike shinoda is definatly an icon.
found this song just now, almost 15 years after listening to Rising Tied album
this might be even stronger than Right Now
solid stuff
Damn you late to the party but welcome anyway, i heard this back in 09 and this shit stilllll goesss
best part about mike, he writes about his life, unlike many other rappers.
I pray for Fort Minor's new album
SergeiDaBest yes he gonna kill it
@@Destruction1983 for sure its coming any day now
people who like rap and hip hop today will never realise how true this stuff is
Thats not at all true, especially when people still listen to this stuff.

Mike is a wizard! what the hell he can't do!
Bring Chester back to life
Scream
One of those rare gems that no one knows exists. Only the ones who really care
All I have to say is " Damn he is the greatest rapper to ever live"
Death Raven Of course someone with Linkin Park for a profile picture would say that. However, I do agree.
the background music makes it sound like a 90's rock song

i Love this song!!!
please mike do some new fort minor tracks!!
I find that this song actually comforts me simply for the fact to know that when i was like that that i wasn't the only person in the world like that.
I agree. He's a sympathetic rapper for which I respect him for. Definitely one of the best rappers in the whole white world.
In the underground is kinda common, that's why underground is better than mainstream, Mike totally has a underground sound, is amazing
m. shinoda with his two faces - Fort Minor and Linkin Park - in both cases awesome!!!
