I’ve owned more snorkel’s then regular air filters and they were real popular back in the day. Today they are not desired or wanted as much as a round or oval one. I can’t wait to change my factory snorkel out for a high performance round one.

The 606 was huge leap forward from stock for my stage 2 103 but when I went to a rock solid stage 4 107 fuel moto kit with everything DKCUSTOM offers for "The foundation" of my 2009 Tricycle the 828 was my pic and my "seat of the pants" Dyno tells me that following the advice learned here and with Fuel Moto my Tricycle is making heads shake and my friends spend the money with both you guys 😂 , proof is in the pudding and you guys done the homework for us 😀
Glad you were able to get that Trike dialed in and are enjoying the benefits of having the parts installed. Thank you for your business and for commenting! 👍 MB
There is a lot of online debate on whether an oiled gauze filter cleans the air well. Some say that it lets too much dirt thru. However, there are Two Important Facts when looking at your question: 1. We have looked at thousands of carb & throttle body throats, and we have never seen one that is dirtier or cleaner, regardless of an oiled gauze or paper filter. 2. We have never seen, nor heard of an engine suffering damage from using an oiled gauze filter element. Oiled gauze filter elements usually have more surface area than a paper element, providing a better flow rate. AND, when a paper filter gets dirty their flow rate drops like a rock, whereas the oiled gauze filters flow great dirty or clean. Thank you for commenting! MB
Is there kind of metal air cleaner cover option for that system? If not, y'all should make one. Maybe it just needs to cover everything but the bottom, and be slotted like louvers (sideway with the openings on the bottom of the louver-like slots) so that air can get in, but water can't. Are the caps removable, so that people could drill into them, for mounting some kind of cover? Also is there a significant difference in performance from the 828 to 636V (at least on a Sportster)?
Covers are described and pictured on the product page. Drilling is not needed, the HD covers that fit are pinch fit, just like they do on the Harleys. Of course, if you are concerned about rain, you can use a rain sock. Differences between the 636v and the 828 can be seen in two place: www.dkcustomproducts.com/differences-between-outlaw-hiflow-air-cleaner-systems-dk-faq-acs.htm And in this video- ruclips.net/video/xP7wxWQmSa8/видео.html Please feel free to contact us with any questions; Support@DKCustomProducts.com 662-252-8828 Thank you for commenting! 😎MB

How well do oiled gauze elements filter the air?

@DKCustomProducts ,
Cool deal
Do the covers affect performance, and does the sock cover actually block rain?
