The health aspect i can relate. I do 12 hours shifts up to 5 days on some weeks😢 . Nobody should brag about working hard in uk bc when ur health fails, even your pension can't save u.
Girl the sacrifice you made is so worth it look at how well behaved and intelligent your kids are. You are able to go on holidays there are people who have that jobs and don’t have time to spend it. Remember I’m a nurse but I’m not working per say because of my kids like I told you when we met in punta Cana! It’s Thelma Big bear hug for you just one day at a time. Give yourself more two years and it will all fall in place. And no shame in feeling depressed, UK can be depressing if we are not careful but glad you are okay. ❤❤❤
Hey Thelma, thanks for his hun! I definitely remember our conversation in Punta Cana. It shows when there isn’t any parental guidance in children and I’m not here if that, my children are my top priority so career can wait. UK is difficult and can be depressing. I’m happy I’m doing better. Thank you dearie 😘😘😘
I totally understand you and I’m glad you did what was best for your family. There is no point being unhappy, having issues with your spouse and missing the kids. Thanks for sharing cos I know it’s such a struggle.
A good state of mind is important to be a good wife and mother. so glad you didn't wait till it breaks you completely before you quit. You will get a job that suits your family's schedule eventually. Lovely family, you've got. Kudos to your better half, Na man he be.
You made the best decision, let no one tell you how to live your life, the most important thing after God is your family. Protect your mental health as much as you can❤
Hi dear, I have been following you since I was in Nigeria. Our stories are literally the same. My girl is 10 and my boy is 6. Lived in Malaysia and then moved to Nigeria for 2 years and Hubby was transferred to UK office as a Software Consultant. Anyway, 4 months in the UK, I was desperate to get a job, and stupid me. I accepted a job with Virgin Atlantic as a Full time. The shege my eyes saw😅. I use to cry at work, like you I decided enough is enough. My family needs me at home, so I stopped working last week and I have not regretted it.
I'm probably that person who asked if you were still working 😊. Thank you so much for this video, coz I have also been struggling. Juggling work, motherhood etc. You gave me some ideas and sense of hope
A lot of parents working full time are paying the price with their children. I quit my job too as a nurse 2 years ago and do not regret it. Like you said in the beginning it’s relative because everybody’s journey is different and we don’t want to sound like we are enraging 😊
Hmmm this is very relatable for me..i had to quit my banking job to take care of my health...it was a tough decision too because I wanted to build a career too... Do take care!!!🌹
Not sure I understand your logic. Even in Africa people work 8 to 5pm everyday and they only see their kids in the evening. Sometimes even missing the kids events because of work. This “hybrid” luxury you are looking for will cause more harm than good when you want ILR and it means your husband has to work extra hard to look after you and the kids
You’re absolutely correct. these set of newly immigrant eehn. they complain when there isn’t jobs and with the ones available they complain 🤷♀️. I mean 😅
