Thanks for making this. I know this stuff is second nature to somebody who's been doing it for a while, but it helped fill in several gaps in my knowledge, such as why Home Depot doesn't seem to have fire brick.

Hi!
So it looks like the first pair Joe has is actually prescription which you would need to obtain through your optometrist. The second pair is the clip on style which you can find online at Otto Frei. I hope this helps!

can you do a video on fixing those torches I can only find ones on the propane ones and pencil torches is it the same basics?
+jarrett dawson Hi! You may find Joe's class Butane Torch Safety helpful. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/98aehrEvpp8/видео.html
I recently took a ring making class, and learned to solder. After telling my brother this he gifted me with a soldering iron. I didn't have the heart to tell him I had no idea how to use it since we used soldering wire and a torch in the class. Is it possible to use this for jewelry?
Unfortunately, no. When soldering like we teach, you need to heat up the whole piece to get it to solder. The solder irons just work for spot soldering at much lower temperatures.
Thank you for your response! I love how helpful you guys are!
