In terms of VR exclusive games... seems like it may be a step op from last year, but not too much. But honestly, I do think VR exclusive games may need to step up their game. With Praydogs UE Injector you can make tons of games work in VR and they also look way better than the average VR exclusive game that comes out. Well, it's not just graphics where VR exclusive games need an improvement, it's interaction. For most part it's just basic physics. Having better interaction with people, animals/monsters and surfaces/objects would help greatly with immersion.

Playing Vail twice a week and I love it!
Zero Caliber 2, Swarm 2 and UnderCover VR are the only games on my list for 2024...until now.
Love Vail as well. Only wish there was a player base. Can’t tell you the number of times I’ve logged in to find ZERO available rooms… and not because they’re all full, but because there is a single player online. Most of the time there’s 3-4 rooms to choose from. Really hope this game takes off ASAP

I picked Swarm up on meta quest + as a free game... I've had so much fun playing that I'm interested to see the new approach they are taking with Swarm 2.

The developers first started with 2 mods in half life alyx. Everyone including me was impressed. And now they come with their own game. I wish them the best. While some vr content creators say the modding community is destroying ehhh real vr games developement(kuch kuch matteo) this proofs that modders concern more about vr surviving then big vr companies or game studios. Creating something with love for vr and know what vr is because you started with free mods developement in half life alyx or get a check from a big company to create a vr game while you never create or played a vr game yourself isn't the same. I hope this game opens more doors for modders to create their own game.

Gunman contracts is the one I am really looking forward to. I want to be John Wick and replicate the stairs scene 😂 mannequin seems also interesting. For the others…attack on titan is probably going to be disappointing (sorry for the cynical take…). Vail…well…a lot of wrong decisions that I hope they will fix.

Same here. If I can get a flying game that's as easy to hop into as GT7 I will be so happy. Almost all the flight sims on PC have such dodgy VR support, just a lot of bugs and troubleshooting, same for racing games. PSVR2 GT7 works every damn time, and if Aces of Thunder is the same way, I'm gonna be playing hundreds of hours of that game.
Man, most of these VR FPS devs gotta find a way to add arms and legs. Looks so jarring and dated without the player having extremities.
I just hope the motion controller imput from aces of thunder gets added to standard warthunder
Vail is probably my favorite VR multiplayer shooter. Really sad that its basically dead. Glad I at least got a good amount of games in beforehand.

Do you happen to have any experience with the DPVR E4 headset? I'd like to get into VR but really dont want to go the Meta route.
Not sure which vr headset to get, $1,000 is a little too steep for what I'd like to spend.
If that headset isn't worth it i may just have to save up if theres a new headset coming out in the near future.

@@Magswap to be honest it’s very hard NOT to recommend Quest 3 BUT the other alternative is Pico 4. It’ll need comfort mods but that will be the one

To people interested in the AOT VR game, there is already a FREE fan made VR game that is really good, its called Attack On Titan: Fan Game by Slavka, and i highly recommend trying it out!
Aces of Thunder looks cool. War Thunder vr is fun but seemingly a little overwhelming with tons of options to click through with a mouse and not the clearest path of progression that seems a little unnecessary and a slog to click through everything in vr. Hopefully aces of thunder streamlines some of this for the console. Mind you in haven't played war thunder in vr for years at this point so maybe I'm way off on this one

Free with DLC planes is almost definitely how the Aces of Thunder release is going to go. Gaijin who makes the games have a history of selling quite expensive planes, and I think that model is quite profitable. People with a lot of money just go in there and buy everything they find, more than making up for the freeloaders like me mooching away. AND they actually get a playerbase rather than selling a few games at launch and then the game just instantly dying.
Very much looking forward to it. First game I'll get on PSVR2 since Firewall.

I was also given a review key in exchange for feedback for VAIL on Quest 3 and unfortunately, same experience. Zero player lobbies. Literally not a single other person in game. Hopefully this changes with the official launch when it is out of App Lab.

To be honest. First everyone is glad facebook gave people cheap vr. Now every quest owner wants best quality and tracking. Advice if you love vr and want good tracking buy a pc. Android vr hasn't got shoulder tracking so arms always look wrong in vr. So that's why most games don't have arms or even a body. Want good tracking pcvr had it already but android vr took over and set back vr developement for 5 years. But maybe facebook comes with body tracking after 5 years of android vr.

Medieval Dynasty flatscreen is... OK. The main problem is that it's balanced around the player doing 90% of the work. It's billed as a "village builder," but your villagers work very, very slowly compared to you, so mostly they're minor support for you doing all the building, crafting, and hunting.
I think I would have enjoyed it a LOT more in VR, but I've played it out at this point, and starting over to get the VR experience isn't that appealing. There are games where I've gotten a lot out of the VR version despite having exhausted flatscreen (Fallout 4, Borderlands 2), but I think it's has to be a better game than Medieval Dynasty for that to work.
My most anticipated VR games this year so far are Underdogs and Stranger Things (if that one actually gets released). I bought Vail since it was so cheap, and I hope that version 1.0 goes well. Looking forward to the community session!

Still think VR has a first person problem.... developers are mostly doing FPOV games as they are purely going for immersion. However this leaves many potential VR adopters (which benefits all of us) out in the cold. Motion sickness, not your style of game, lack of innovation, etc.. They have some non FPOV games, but the catalog overall leaves something to be desired.

It’s incredibly annoying that every single game that I even wanted to try on this list won’t be coming to pcvr and since I already had a pc, pcvr is the only good option for me. I don’t have $500 to blow on a quest 3 or $1100 for a ps5 and psvr. Only reason I have pcvr is because it found a very cheap $220 Reverb G2 on eBay
The Flat Screen version of medieval dynasty is good and it looks great but the VR version looks very flat.
