Thanks for watching. Dave ; )
Great video, thank you! I just got my Pepe Tools disc cutter... super excited to cut my sheet metal circles without my jeweller's saw!
Have fun! Dave
Thank you for these wonderful and clear videos. They are fantastic!
Thanks. Dave
My choice of tooling for design for several years now..thanks
Thanks for sharing. Dave
Excellent video showing the quality and details that make this a premium tool--and a 2 lb brass mallet is *exactly the right tool* for the job! So Pepetools is sending me one of these kits to try out--and I look forward to seeing how it performs--I'm sure it will be a huge improvement over hand-sawing discs with all the cleanup involved.
"Sending you one to try out?" How did you manage that ? Dave
I sent Pepetools photos of a ring project that I used their Superior Ring Bender to make. They used the photos in their marketing, and sent me the disc cutter as a thank you gift--very nice of them. :)
Ah yes, the band rings. I saw them. Nice work. Yes indeed David and Dad Tony at Pepe tools are great guys. I talk with them regularly, and met David him last year when he came over to the UK. A real family business. Dave
Hi! Thanks for the great video ! I am wondering if it's better to anneal the metal or use it hard?
always better to anneal. But to be honest with thin sheet like this it doesn't really matter. Thanks for watching. Dave
O how I wish Pepe send me their tools so I can live out my dream in my creations faster...
Yes. I admit I am very fortunate. I have pretty much everything. With over 5 million views, tool companies are very happy to send me things to test. BUT …That said, there are many products I have reviewed which you will never see, as I can’t personally recommend them. But it’s not my place to publicly criticise a product. In such cases, I give constructive feedback privately and help the companies improve the tools. So, the videos you see are ONLY the products that I recommend and use personally. Thanks for watching. Dave
Dave, hope you're still looking at these. Would you still recommend this over the Durston 10 piece delux cutter?
Both very similar products, I have both and I'm happy with both. So I guess it comes down to price and availability. The Pepetools are usually better value, but here in the Uk they aren't easy to find. In the USA, it's Pepetools all the time. Dave
Hi Dave. Thanks for another thorough review. One query: can you definitely use a tumbler to finish anodized aluminium? Cooksons advised against but your video suggests you can? Cheers, Mike.
The finish on the anodised aluminium is really very tough indeed. But when I say tumbling, its only for 20 mins or so, just to knock off any burrs. You see what I do with those discs here. Dave ruclips.net/user/edit?o=U&video_id=GMRIVJgicEs
Link isn't working for me, Dave. Can you post the name of the video? Thanks
Link works fine my end but here's the title....

Thank you for your informative uploads. I'm based in York in the UK do you know if there are any local suppliers of this item?
In the UK the main Pepe dealer is Sutton Tools, now owned by Betts Metals.. See link. Dave

Hi Dave, I am having a hard time finding a two pound brass hammer, would a three pounder be too much force?
Not at all, that will be fine. Obviously I don't know what country you are in, But Pepetools now sell this brass mallet, after my recommendation. Dave

The knob on the top of my pepetools disc cutter just keeps turning without getting tight.
Thats a strange one, which I can't explain without seeing it. Perhaps get in touch with Pepetools and send them some pics. Hope this helps. Dave
does that tool have a 30mm diameter blank punching hool? forgive my I dont realy understand inch to mm conversion and do you have a sugestion ore tool foor decorating the edgess of a round blank ?
The largest is 1" so that's 25.4mm (25). see below...
Yes I know what you mean about edges, it would be nice to have something which could cut and emboss at the same time. I will have to suggest that to the guys at Pepetools. BUT you can always use texture and pattern punches such as "Impressart punches" around the edge - hundreds available.
