There are Marijuana shops all over Oklahoma, pretty much anywhere you go in Oklahoma, even the small towns have them. I would not say that it smells like Marijuana everywhere though. Most people smoke it in the privacy of their own homes and in their back yard. Remember, most people that smoke weed or do edibles are less likely to be belligerent or combative compared to how alcohol drinkers can be.

We have some wonderful outdoor spaces and lots of events in those places. We have affordable broadway shows here as well as a great symphony and ballet. If you enjoy gardening we can grow beautiful flowers and vegetables I couldn’t grow in Houston. Last thing I’ll say is that the wind here is pretty consistent which means being outside when it’s hot isn’t always so bad especially in the shade. Oh and there’s A LOT of communities that are “small town” vibe but only 20-30 min away from the metro. 😅

If you plan to build or buy a house in Tulsa, Oklahoma, DO NOT EVER work with Daniel Ruhl aka Ruhl Construction aka Asher Homes. Their homes are complete junk! Also, DO NOT EVER buy or sell a house through Chinowith & Cowen! The owner Sheryl has a questionable relationship with Daniel Ruhl and cheats her own agent's clients out of their money. They work as a team. Sheryl will even try to trick you into signing documents in order to give Daniel the upper hand in cheating you in court. They're two pihs rolling in the mud together. Please do your homework and read all of their reviews before making one of the most important decisions of your life. He will destroy your finances & dreams. These lying thieving thugs will rob you of your trust, money, time, and for some their marriages. Yes, what he puts families through destroys marriages. Daniel Ruhl homes look beautiful until you step foot in one, then you quickly notice what pieces of junk they are from top to bottom...and that's pitting it mildly. Not to mention what you can't see. His homes often have plumbing & framing issues. Again, please read his reviews and look at the pictures posted for yourself. Look up Daniel Ruhl & Ruhl Construction on Yelp, Facebook, Google and numerous platforms, and you'll see what a disgraceful lying fake Daniel is. Look up the Aspen Creek neighborhood where Daniel Ruhl robbed the homeowners of peace & comfort in their own homes, and continues to be in a major legal dispute with the community. Call any lawyer, broker, real estate agent, property manager, contractor in Tulsa, and they will all tell you to run fast & never build or buy a house from Daniel Ruhl. Anyone who tells you any different is either lying or has never stepped foot inside one of his builds, or they regretfully own one, and are desperately trying to hock it on the market, and don't want to tank their resale value. He's the biggest con artist & fake in Tulsa. His two top guys Gerald & John are lying crooks too. What he'll do to your dreams, finances & trust in humanity is worse than any tornado Oklahoma has ever experienced. He will turn your world upside down & shake you down for every penny you have. Heed the warning & run fast!!!
I’ve lived in Tulsa most of my life. I would say bipolar may best describe Tulsa. We built a massive park that’s ranked as one of the best in the nation while simultaneously closing public pools and community centers in the poorer parts of town. Our downtown has steadily been revitalized but it’s now populated by douche bags. The city has heavily pushed the popularity of Route 66 even though that road mainly services shady used car lots and motels that never have less than one dead hooker on the property at all times. The same road on the other side of town is like driving through clinical depression. Our streets look like they have been paved using the surface of Mars. There are pot holes that will kill you if you hit them. Yes our roads want to kill you. Due to scientists splitting the homeless atom every neighborhood now has its own homeless camp. We have a gross river that is in dire need of mowing for a good three months out of the year. No matter where you go there you are, every city can be ripped to shreds as easily as it can be praised. If you don’t like Tulsa you can get the hell on and if you do like it here I’m guessing you’ve been to Mississippi.
THC shops are a con?? Sounds like a selling point to me. No hangovers, fewer calories. And they don't smell like they used to, as edibles have become more popular. If someone is fine with a bar in their neighborhood they should be fine with a dispensary.

Hi! Thank you for this video. I am a new subscriber 😊. I am looking to relocate, I am currently in New York and wanting to move to a place more affordable and family oriented. What cities in Tulsa are safer and still relatively affordable?
Hi, welcome! Send me a text or give me a call 918-637-7826. There are so many great options all around Tulsa. We can talk about what would be the best fit for you. 🙂 Broken Arrow, Collinsville, Glenpool could all be great options, but there are several others depending on exactly what you are looking for.
Every time you turn around the city is raising the cost of utilities and your property taxes. When I first moved to Tulsa I lived comfortably on my income. First thing I'm dong when I retire is move out of Tulsa. Several small towns just outside of Tulsa that has a better cost of living. The thieves aren't afraid to rob you in broad daylight and they don't care if you have cameras. Yes, there's lots of things to do and see. Driving to Tulsa for entertainment would be much better than living in Tulsa.
I moved to Tulsa 30 years ago from Upstate NY. I fell in love with the people here, but now it's no different than living in NY. I will not retire here.
I live in Tulsa: Cons Public Transportation is a joke. Nothing is close if you do not have a car. There is a church on every corner but jobs and businesses are hard to find. Around my area in Tulsa; the store are closing and the restaurant too. I have to walk. Rents are getting high now because the national landlords price gouging. Road are like bombs hit them, schools are horrible. Health care stinks. Service is terrible. The Oklahomans are not nice because if you come from somewhere else; they want you to leave. Poor and homeless I see. Don't expect help and service even if you pay for it. I have asked many buyers do you want to come to Tulsa and they say it is not big enough or worth the trip. Both public and private schools are terrible. Food is awful. I wish I could leave Tulsa. But; I am on social security and it does not give me enough money to save. This is a bright red state and I try to get along with the white supremacists and lots of Spanish people that don't speak English. The jobs are mostly warehouse and oil. Not much else. The state does nothing to help people to get schooling to get jobs. The pot and drug and gun problem is high. Outdoors is not that great and no culture to teach children the arts and sciences. This is a top down economy so there is only crumbs here for most. You have to have a good job coming here. Very Christian religious and is not really nice to other ideas. This is not a service city. You have to have money. It may be cheaper to live here but not as cheap as you think. I wish I could leave and be closer to facilities and get the services I need. Because I can't here and the government is no help.
So without having to watch this east Tulsa not good north def not good west not good either south good but getting worse. Ba good Bixby good, cowetta not really

@@livingintulsaoklahoma I have not yet found a place but what’s bringing me there is the cost of living and I thing it’s time for a complete change for myself
You'll be sorry
Tulsa Oklahoma and Oklahoma in general is a horrible place to live. I would stay where you are.
Or maybe think about Washington.
You're trying to keep folks out in a nice way:) I understand that, having had my denver ruined by the Californians.
That's a lot of CONs... wow.. I feel bad for living here now lol
@@TeshuvahBibleStudies the pros definitely outweigh the cons!
@@livingintulsaoklahoma l live in Owasso and love it here.
@@TeshuvahBibleStudies Owasso is so great! Have you been there all your life?
@@livingintulsaoklahoma for 19 years… I lived in south Florida most of my life and Brazil prior to that.
@TeshuvahBibleStudies wow! Glad you’re here!
OKC is better.
👍
THC shops are a con?? Sounds like a selling point to me. No hangovers, fewer calories. And they don't smell like they used to, as edibles have become more popular. If someone is fine with a bar in their neighborhood they should be fine with a dispensary.
I don’t disagree with your assessment. Thanks for your opinion.
We just moved out here last year so far we love the route 66 vibes here and people are so friendly
Where did you move from? You’re right on the Route 66 vibes! Thanks for sharing with us!
I lived in Alaska for 15months… Oklahoma doesn’t actually have a winter
Excellent video
Thank you! Are you from Tulsa?
@@livingintulsaoklahoma No but I have family in Tulsa I’m down in metro Atlanta and I’ve been thinking about moving to Oklahoma can’t decide between OKC and Tulsa I have a 500k budget so I’ll be watching more of your videos to see what I can afford
@@Jnicks01 did you ever decide on Tulsa or OKC? I just now saw that you replied to my question.
Life on the reservation here in Oklahoma Tulsa is all good as long as you aren't native American .
Planning on moving here soon
Where are you coming from?
I'm moving here in June from Alaska! 🎉
Me too! I have family in Tulsa Oklahoma.
@@OfficerMDHibbs Newsflash; People are catching on the the SOUTHWEST/MIDWEST life and how much cheaper it is. Most of them come from expensive states like California, Denver, New York etc. People will continue to move to Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, etc. All the states that no one even talked about. I have family throughout the State of Oklahoma. In the major cities and suburbs. They have been trying to get me to come to Oklahoma for years. That's how it happens; You start to tell your immediate family and then your extended family. The next thing you know we are all here lol! Tulsa OK will continue to grow. Stay tuned!
No way I'd live there. I don't even like going there for Dr appointments.
You are not a real Oklahoman until you go out on the porch during a Tornado Warning to see if you can see the tornado
lol 😂
Cons: it’s awful. Pros: you can leave.
😂
I am visiting tulsa very quiet place peaceful.
Are you here to visit family?
Thanks for your informative video! I’ve lived in Oklahoma for years, and am considering moving to Tulsa for university if I’m accepted.
What University?
@@livingintulsaoklahoma Phillips Theological Seminary.
Tornados in Tulsa are mild or non existent.
Yes, that is what I have experienced and what the data shows. Thanks for contributing!
No night life, You better have a car, be ready for sticker shock with relation to rent.
Tulsa doesn't need any more outsiders xp. Especially Californians
Californians DO have a tendency to make uneducated Tulsa locals feel insecure when they move in. Hopefully you can move past it though.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So without having to watch this east Tulsa not good north def not good west not good either south good but getting worse. Ba good Bixby good, cowetta not really
If considering this area, move into a suburb like Jenks, Broken Arrow or Sand Springs. The schools are superior to Tulsa.
Thanks for giving your opinion! 😊
For school, Jenks is better, I agree .. but for other areas, Tulsa is comparable .. one of Tulsa public highschools is on 1st rank in Oklahoma
Only in america do they say good and ban. It's all good by world standards 😊
That’s very very true. We are truly blessed here.
Con -- if you are not religious it is extremely hard -- I don't like religion --

South Tulsa is great. Stay away from north and east Tulsa.
Appreciate your input
Pot hole city
Drive down admiral
Businesses closing and boarded up
They take a year to fix a road causing businesses to close
True story
I was run over by a one leg city employee and city attorney said to my face
We can’t fix the pot holes
What makes you think we can pay your medical bills 🤔😢
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
Too much crime.
That’s a lot of cons 😂😂😂😂 i was out at number 3 next time lie 😂😂 good luck with the channel
😂 did you watch the pros?!
Tulsa's a little town with a big city ego. Frankly, avoid Oklahoma altogether if you have a choice. If i had a choice, I'd be so outta here.
