Newly licensed agent here! I'm happy to have found your channel. WOuld love some advice/tips on best practices for finding the right brokerage? Being so new, I have no idea what questions to ask to make sure that I'm set up with a good starting point without having to pay all these fees while making little to no money initially
Hey! I work with a lot of new agents in my coaching program, so I understand where you are coming from. Here are a few quick tips:
#1: Interview at least 5 brokerages/offices before making a decision.
#2: If you can't find good options or don't know where to start, check out Yelp/Google or notice the listing signs you see as you drive around the neighborhoods you want to sell in. You can also find local real state agents on Instagram that you want to emulate and check out where they are.
#3: Join a brokerage that has someone who will answer your panicked phone call late in the evening when you're trying to figure out how to write your first offer. Most brokers say that they offer great mentorship/resources/training, and none of it really will do what you need it to. You need a broker who will answer the phone.
