i just know pedro pascal is going to be in this for like 2 seconds
Right? 😢... I wanted to watch it because of him but i think it's going to be in just a few scenes 😢
exactly. very versatile indeed
Hes probably there for the first 5-10 minutes of the start of the film, and then the film is solving his murder case
@@Ss15996what?
Muedered....AGAIN?????
@@alejandramedellin9263L
Geraldine Viswanathan is the queen of facial expressions. Her clapping with that drink in her hand just made me laugh too loud.
Definitely one of the reasons why she continues to get more beautiful as a result.
She looks like the real deadpan stand-out in this
Everyone is the queen of something to you guys
@@sha7303miserable hater
She also makes faces in The Package and Blockers!!!!😊😊😊😊
I saw this during “Asteroid City”! This looks to be a blast, and I’m glad to see Ethan’s vision when his brother is not around!!
What’s that supposed to mean? Both are really great filmmakers
@@viciousbane569 I saw the trailer for this film at an Alamo before a showing for “Asteroid City”.
I do agree both (and Joel) are incredible filmmakers.
Thanks for putting Asteroid City in quotations, us other movie goers would have never understood what you meant
@@whiskeywayne91 Well, it’s just my way of writing, it’s not like it’s my own film there.
This looks awful, they need to reunite asap.
This is why I love films it's an escape from the normal stressful life couple of hours to laugh and enjoy out on the big screen
Margaret Qualley is killing it! She's got a huge future. Great cast and very funny idea.
I remember when I first saw her in "The Leftovers".. it was one of her first roles, I didn't know much about the series and it turned out to be one of the best tv shows I have seen
@@Iker122 was very underrated leftovers. She was brilliant in that too. Watch sanctuary as well
She was fantastic in Death Stranding
I thought she looked like another actress. Googled her and bam...she's Andie MacDowell's kid!
@@TeeSpicerReacts no way!!! And they complain about nepo babies.
Finally the trailer!! I worked at a bar that they filmed at. Amazing to see it quickly in this trailer
Looks like the type of stuff the Coen's used to make in the 80s. I know it's only one of then but I am very hyped for another comedic, crime caper
Coens
Yeah, seems to be more in the vein of BURN AFTER READING and RAISING ARIZONA, etc. Which is fine by me! Looks fun.
looks like it
but its not
@@MrDoctorMabuse Not similar at all. Ethan lost the plot somewhere
@@jennyjane4743noooo😢 I was hoping it would be fun. I'm gonna watch it in the $5 theatre and enjoy my snacks then.
Joel: "You know what? I'm going to do a Shakespeare adaptation with Denzel Washington."
Ethan: "You know what I'm going to do? A lesbian road-trip crime comedy."
God, I love them.
Special guys. Brilliant
Apparently it's supposed to be a trilogy.
@@strangewayfaringstranger
Ah yes, the lesbian road-trip comedy sequel that Macbeth needed. But what will the third in the trilogy cover?
@@wesleyking6713I think he meant this “lesbian road trip” story might be a trilogy of movies by Ethan Coen
@@vingasoline5068In the words of TFSVegeta: "You've ruined it. You've ruined it, and I'm leaving."
Between this and Joel Coen with The Tragedy of Macbeth, the Coen Brothers solo projects are turning out to be as exciting as their regular projects. Also Margaret Qualley is perfection.
No they aren't.
Together they made movies that where competing against Tarantino and scorsese but this solo projects are not nearly as good
No way you think this lives up to anything they dual directing. This looks sub par lmao
'Thelma + Louise' meets the 21st century 😂😂
And a plot starter based on Blank Check.
watching this and the macbeth movie i can notice that ethan had the comedy sense but joel had the eye for their movies. I hope to see working toguether again in the future
Ethan wrote a collection of short stories. Forget the name of it but I checked it out from the library years ago.
@@a.champagne6238The drunken driver has the right of way
I think they need each other. The Macbeth movie was fine and this one looks fine too but when they work together, something magical happens. Ethan recently said they have not ruled anything out. Doesn’t sound like there was a falling out or anything, he just got burnt out and wasn’t sure if he wanted to continue. Honestly, this doesn’t look amazing or anything to me but hopefully it reinvigorated his love of movie making. And if not , well…we’ll always have Lebowski
@@bhaveshpratapsingh1836 Gates of Eden was the name of the one I read.
@samfilmkid I'm sure it got old when one would want to do a project and the other didn't. They had decades of compromising and now they just want to make their singular visions without the other one second guessing. They're so good together but I can see how restraining that dynamic would probably be after a while
If a movie or TV series has Margaret Qualley in the cast member whether as a supporting or lead, you have my attention
Same,Colman Domingo too
Thats the sole reason this film caught my attention, she’s been on a hot streak its amazing, from indie to mainstream she’s been doing phenomenal roles, such a wonderful actor
@@GuineaPigEveryday Omg someone just replied to my comment under your Challengers trailer comment and I got a notification then minutes later I saw this comment in my notification and I thought you replied to me from the Challengers trailer lol
Never heared of 'em.
You can clearly see the different movies Joel and Ethan Coen create when separate.
Joel does a serious film like The Tragedy of Macbeth
Ethan does a comedy film like Drive Away Dolls.
You haven't even seen the movie yet and you're making wild assumptions and comparisons
@@whiskeywayne91 Oh yeah, we bet this is just like The Tragedy Of Macbeth, no comedy at all
Lol you’re basing this assumption off of one movie they have each done separate of each other. Okayyyy.
serious "films"? comedy "films"? film. no S. they have made one film each. not much to go off
the Coens one of their main styles is black comedy, it seems you haven't seen their movies.
I’m an extra in this! I’m so excited for everyone to see it! :)
Congratulations--too bad it wsn't better.
I wouldn't tell anyone about it 😄
LOL@@jennyjane4743
Loved the movie, congratulations!
That’s so great that you are were in it! I just saw it. It was definitely different! What part did you play?
I love camp movies 💞 And movies with happy, funny plotline...dverything is very serious and dramatic these days.
That's why this movie looks like it's my thing 😊😊😊
If Pedro dies at the beginning of the movie... NO PLEASE 😔
It's a Coen bro movie. Show some respect.
it’s a coen movie. he’s definitely gonna die after like 5 minutes or screen time
no that's tlou season 2
Was craving for another Coen Brothers comedy thriller for so long its not both of them but it looks amazing.
Drive-Away Dolls has such an incredible cast!
FLOP nepo in the lead with an awful accent.
What the hell! GIve it a go. You need a good laugh!
Why do I got the feeling Pedro's gonna die in the first 10 minutes of the movie 😭😂
Because you don't actually care about filmmaking and the storytelling involved, you just want to see the most popular actor currently.
@@Largentina. Huh? How tf did you get that from my original comment. Don't be weird dude. We're just having fun here.
@@Largentina.bro chill! I came to this trailer because I love Matt Damon, but I’m probably gonna watch this more so because it looks funny and fun overall. It’s GOOD that people’s favorite actors bring them to movies they may not have otherwise cared to look into.
My friend and I went to see Bad Times at the El Royale because we saw John Hamm was in it, and he does pretty early in the movie, but we loved it because it was just a fun ass movie. We moved right on past Hamm getting killed off and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing.
Don’t have to be so rude man
This feels like a 21st century version of Raising Arizona and I’M HERE FOR IT!
You're here because the director's white and cast is composed of mostly white folks.
Right, I was thinking that too.
More like Ethan Coen watched and loved « Airbag » (Bajo Ulloa, 1997) and decided to do a modern version with modern heroes
'just watched Viswanathan in "Blockers", thinking I had to follow her ... Bro'Ethan made my day !
You had me at Margaret Qualley, Geraldine, Pedro, in a Fargo Like Crime Caper from a Coen Brother.
YES!
feels modern, yet has that signature Coens' touch
can't wait!
So now I know that Ethan is the Raising Arizona side of the Coen Brothers.
Looks like back to basics style Coens minus one. Fun characters and kooky narrative to a decidedly deadly or dramatic story. Other sites keep mentioning Russ Meyer style 70s exploitative inspired….yeah, there are couple of big things missing from that statement, sadly…but Uschi and I will be there to see this at the cinema.
i've come to realize i just love movies about briefcases
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!! This is the comedy I've been waiting for for years!
I’m I the only one here who finds Geraldine Viswanathan just getting more ridiculously gorgeous?
Nope, me too
She’s always been perfection, inside and out. Full disclosure: she’s my niece.
@@JayanthiViswanathan Ooooh!
I guess not
yea shes hot lol
you had me at Margaret Qualley, my queen💓💓
Margaret Qualley. This movie just making me have a huge crush of her even more.
Excited for a more comical Pedro Pascal!!!
This looks like it will be a great fun exciting film..... and funny too! Can't wait to catch it! Brings back memories of Blood Simple..... one consequence after another and they all show up unexpectedly!!
I had the pleasure of working on this film. Out of my 15 years in the industry it was by far my favorite experience.
That’s so wonderful to hear! Do you mind sharing anything else about your experience?
@@larryhader5695 absolutely. Obviously I can’t say too much about the plot line before it is released. I was the set key for Special Effects on that show so I was a part of a fair amount of production meetings. I have never worked on a show that was that well planned. We got storyboards of what we were shooting every day and that is exactly what we shot. The level of professionalism on that show made you want to bring your best game every day.
Even though I work in the industry I’m not some huge movie buff, but Coen brothers movies are my favorite. At one point we were shooting at some bar and up the street there was a house that had a Big Lebowski poster on the back porch. I was taking a picture of it to send to a coworker telling him that it brought the whole pouch together, as Ethan came walking by. He gave me a strange look so I pointed to the poster. He gave me a smile and said, “The guy must have good taste.”
This cast absolutely bangs
good joke
Looks like the Coen version of Thelma and Louise. I'm here for it!
cinema is BACK! I cannot wait for this. classic Coen brothers, something well-written and well performed. stacked cast filled with actual actors and not subpar movie stars. original idea. not marvel or DC. my soul needs this
@bocoynoiu8369 I dunno..I disagree. This is the type of Coen movie we know and love from them. Nothing against Macbeth.. they aren't for everyone but theyre sure as hell for me
@bocoynoiu8369 I have to agree. It's feels like 'Intolerable Cruelty' levels.
Honestly I think it would have been better to keep Pedro Pascal in the movie a secret rather than advertise his death scene in the trailer, unless he's not actually dead or something
Maybe he'll play a male damsel in distress, captured and held up somewhere, they wouldn't kill him off so soon
He's way overrated.
killing off pedro pascal in the first 10 minutes of this film....i can feel it lmaoooo but this cast tho >>> this looks AWESOME & i love the coen brothers so i know this one’s gonna be fun!! also; it feels like THIS is margaret qualley’s year
He might be the most famous cast member here but the movie looks like a good time ether way 😃
And did they just lowkey recreate the gas stop operator scene from 'No Country for Old Men' 👀👀Very subtle nod there Mr. Coen👀
R.I.P. Coens cinematography.
Raising Arizona 2.0 and nothing wrong with that! can't wait.
I wanted to watch it because of Pedro Pascal, but i think he is just going to be in a few scenes 😢 ...
I was looking forward to this because I thought we were going to get to see Pedro and Matt Damon together again, in a comedy. Doesn't look like they share any screen time!😢
Right?? I came here because Matt Damon’s in it, but it kinda seems like him and Pascal aren’t gonna have a whole lot of screen time. 😩
It still looks very fun, and I’ll probably still watch it 🥺
Trailer Song: I got my mojo working by The Daylighters.
I love comedies that make me forget to laugh.
Saved two hours of my life cause I basically just saw the entire movie, thanks!
Great trailer! Cannot wait!
I'm sure this will be great, but goddamn I miss when movies were shot on film.
No cinephile, I. But things ARE looking different.
Quality movie and so much fun to work on and meet Ethan. Can't wait to see entire movie.
Finally, a Coen brothers movie that looks TERRIBLE.
what happened to them?!
too much weed smoking... and woke? maybe? one of them is?@@kjone5086
2:16 is that miley cyrus???

"Thelma and Louise" meets "Snatch." (and a sprinke of "Pulp Fiction").
I will pass on this, hopefully the rumors are true the Cohen brothers are getting back together

Eu não acredito q vou assistir um filme inteiro só pra ver 2sg de tela do Pedro Pascal 😭😭😭😭😭
The hijinks remind me of Raising Arizona! That was the first film I saw by the Cohen Brothers.
This looks fantastic. Fan. Tastic.
Huge "Raising Arizona" vibes here. (That's a good thing! Not many movies like that these days.)
You’ll be surprise, the trailer is a lot better that the hole movie…
Are drive-aways as common as they were in the '70s? My siblings and I would use several drive-away cars to cross the country as my parents went to weird places to get unsanctioned treatment for my mom's cancer, they would say 'We're here, come visit us, it could be the last time," and boop, we'd be driving. People who, for example, have to move suddenly and have cars they want to keep leave their cars with a drive-away company which 'vets' people who need to get to that place - or who are closer to their final destination if they get to that place. Cross country usually took a couple of connections. Learned more about my siblings that way, three of us were teens, my brother was *so old* like in his 20s.
I don't even need to watch this whole movie to know I'm going--just need to see Ethan Coen's name.
I am so hooked for this 😻 wagon
I was already excited for this film, but this trailer solidified it.
I live in Tallahassee, FLORIDA .
😅 this looks like it's going to be funny!
Me too. I'm surprised we got a shout out.
This is giving me Crimewave teas
So…It’s Ethan Coen doing Wes Anderson doing Russ Meyer doing The Coen Brothers?
Bottoms and now this! And Margaret Qualley!
It looks like it has potential, but it’ll probably blow it for the sake of safe comedy
Looks fun 😂, I’ll give it a chance
Hey no squeezies on Pedro's face
This reminds me of 'Burn After Reading' in the best way possible.
This is like Raising Arizona!
Comedy, Action, with a miniscule touch of Wes Anderson
PEDRO PASCAL?! 👏👏👏
I've read they are going to reunite for directing a horror movie, which makes me think of something
Didn't Joel Coen worked as the editor for The Evil Dead 1981?
I have a bad feeling about this
No, it's gonna be really cool, I think !
Zero faith in this movie.
like you're going to love it?
Looks like such a fun time
Seeing Geraldine Viswanathan (The Package, Blockers) and Beanie Feldstein(Booksmart, Neighbors 2 Sorority Rising) is the best idea I've ever heard!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
This looks so guD. Traukers are dope
I reviewed this on my channel, this was such a terrible movie with a misleading trailer. Matt Damon and Pedro aren't even in it more than 30 seconds

I love this movie. This movie is my kinda Aries style Of Honest and love and Proudly
this is good casting
Ah the ole wrong person picked up the drugs scenario. Love those
Macbeth showed us how Joel does on his own, now we're gonna see if Ethan can hack it.
Definitely want to see it but Margaret Qualley’s Uber Southern accent is already on my nerves.
Cant wait to see this
well, Joel, your brother has entered the brand into the Woody Allen territory of a Woody Allen movie except it’s called a Coen brothers movie there’s some neon so we’re supposed to be subconsciously thinking of bowling and all those involved want to have the same sentiment as if it were 1998 and whatever happened after Hudsucker proxy and Lebowski is a blur it’s been clear for 20 years. It was clear in 1987 for some.
What does this mean
