Independent studio dones't mean small and poor stutios who make games with 5 people and contractors from fiver. Ubifost and CD Projekt RED are independent, are they small ? Do they have small budgets ? I don't think so.
A non independent studio would be: BioWare, DICE, Guerrila, Santa Monica, etc.
@@MrDragos360 Ubisoft is a publisher. Independent means the studio develops their games outside the influence of the traditional publisher-developer relationship. But yes, a studio can be independent and also petty large.

@@PShermanWallabyBaySydney They are an independent company. They have fought off hostile takeovers by other publishing studios. So in that sense he is actually correct. But in the traditional sense, an independent studio does not mean a small studio. I have worked for a number of independent studios that rivaled some of Ubisofts (or in fact EA or Activisions) internal studios for size. Independent just means you are free to publish with who ever you want and are not beholden to a corporate overlord. So as Dragos XT said - just saying your independent does not infer lack of budget or resources.
Of all the upcoming games for PS5 this one looks the most interesting to me.

Just because it has similarities to zelda doesnt mean its a knock off it just means that the creators were most likely aiming to pull a specific target market, probably the same market that like to play zelda. From that short clip you cannot say it is a zelda knock off for one the gameplay aspect looked nothing like zelda.

For those who don't know, these are the people who made the short fan-made film, "Majora's Mask: Terrible Fate". It's a very well done short based on the The Legend Of Zelda.

I thought about that short film as soon as I heard the narrator and how the trailer was made. This had many similarities to the Zelda short film in how it presented itself (not surprising since its the same studio lol) and I love it so much !!

I'm been waiting for "Little Devil Inside" since it was on "Steam Greenlight". I think it could be a nice game if the mechanics hold up.

"Ratchet and Clank" looked really impressive to me, with the instant "world switching". For me probably the most impressive thing from the hardware perspective. Demon's Souls is probably a dream come true for all the "Souls-veterans" and their highlight of the show.

And this game right here gives me some kind of Zelda vibes, but with really nice visuals. We need more games like this imo. Also "Gods and Monsters" from Ubisoft looks even more like the last Zelda. I look forward to that too. Unfortunately I do not own a Nintendo console, so I would love to see more games like Zelda on other platforms.

This kind of fantasy universe is one of my favorites and for me remains timeless. Adorable, epic, colorful and dark, in an atmosphere inspired by Asian mythology. It reminds me of universes that I love a lot like Legend of Korra and Zelda, but while having its own identity. Kena looks such badass and cool. The scenery and music are magnificent, the battles seem intense against monsters with a really stylish appearance, and the graphics are just so beautiful.
If it was not a game, it could look like a movie made by Dreamworks or Pixar.
A game that I absolutely need.

This truly does look like a next gen game for an artstyle like this and surprisingly being made by an indie studio, this definitely is one of my top anticipated games.
Its crushingly beautiful. I cant wait to play it on PC or PS5.

EmberLab never ceases to amaze me. I've been aspiring to do something like theirs for a long time but I'm afraid I'm still lacking in a lot of departments. They're my very inspiration to this day! I just hope to see their studio get the acknowledgment they deserve. Their works are the very ideal of what I've set my sights on since I've gotten into gaming.

Starting from here, this game caught my eye.
The environment is just so vibrant and clean, same with the effects. It looks like a game where you'd fall in love with the environment. Same way I felt with Nier Automata.

You can see how they like Majora's Mask in this trailer. They work on the short, but you can feel the inspiration. This is a lovely creation and I will take Kena day one.

Project Athia is a Square Enix game, they don't have the best track record with games they show off early. Could be years before we can play this, if it ever even comes out. Did look cool though so let's hope for the best.

The way she does the final move and then changes the environment from something dark and desolated to green and lively reminds of the prince of persia game from 2008 where the princess does something similar .

Also very important to know, soundtrack is being made by Theophany! (Jason) He was the one that made the remixes of some songs of TLoz: Majora's Mask (which you should check out if you haven't!) So this means this soundtrack should be amazing as well!!!!
So this team is the full Majora's Mask indie combo lul. Theophany's a master at auditory storytelling, cant wait to see what he does here
