    Hi,
    I just received my device. What would be the best setting (amperage and montage) for either tDCS or tACS to stimulate and increase the Alpha waves? Thanks.

    • @neuromyst7850
      @neuromyst7850  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for choosing us! Brain rhythms at 8-10Hz are considered alpha waves. 10Hz is a common frequency used for alpha tACS. Please reach out to us on our website for technical support or question about the tech.

  • @nandany
    @nandany 10 месяцев назад +1

    Hello. I am interested in buying a device. One thing I wanted to know before is, what waveform do you use for the tACS. Is it sinusoidal or a biphasic square waveform? Most studies with tACS seem to use sinusoidal waveform.
    Thanks

    • @neuromyst7850
      @neuromyst7850  10 месяцев назад

      Hello! You are correct, conventional tACS uses sinusoidal waveforms. The Pro device includes tDCS and tACS (with sinusoidal waveforms). Frequencies can be set anywhere from 0.2-80Hz. Check out our other video on the science behind Pro's technology: ruclips.net/video/YR-Krc-C8HE/видео.htmlsi=Ep3aPIxzkqQg47kb. We hope you choose us!

    How do you clean the electrodes and sponges after a session?

    • @neuromyst7850
      @neuromyst7850  10 месяцев назад +2

      Generally, rinsing the electrodes with tap water is fine. If salt builds up over time, white vinegar can be used to remove deposits. Sponges can be rinsed with tap water in between sessions and dried at room temperature. We don't recommend storing sponges in a bag because it traps moisture and could promote mold. I hope this helps.

    Do you use the device before performing the activity, or during performing the activity? Or does it not really matter?

    • @neuromyst7850
      @neuromyst7850  10 месяцев назад +2

      It depends on the application. For learning applications (e.g., DARPA, Learning Math, Problem Solving montages), you want to apply during the learning exercises. For another application, like sleep, it could be before (Snooze) or during (Sleep). For wellness applications, like improving mood, sessions can be applied at rest doing nothing. We provide a montage guide to help people learn more about various applications of tDCS and tACS, and the research that support them: neuromyst.com/montage-guide/.

    Is it supposed to spark? Mine sparked and it felt really good😂

    • @neuromyst7850
      @neuromyst7850  6 месяцев назад

      tDCS generally produces mild skin tingling during sessions and sometimes a harmless light flash at the end when the current turns off. tACS produces light flashes from the current constantly changing from positive to negative at the programmed frequency. You may have experience lights and/or tingling. Like any computer, the device benefits from a restart every once in a while, so hold the red button for 10s to initiate a software restart.
      Some people tell us the lights and tingling feel like a scalp massage and find it relaxing. Let me know if this helps.

      Sponges can last months. To clean, microwave soaked sponges for 30 s once a week to prevent bacterial buildup.
      Sponges are made of cellulose, a plant-based material. You can look for facial sponges online and cut them down to size if that works for you.
      We also sell sponges on our website.

    Too bad you didn't add a 'time delay' option to delay the start of an TACS session - I hear that 40Hz TACS can induce some vivid REM dreams.
    I believe that the 'Focus V2' has that ability.

    • @neuromyst7850

      The cotton headband works for many montages, but there are some montages, like Cz and Fp1, where a skull cap could be easier. You can find skull caps on Amazon or at Caputron.
