Hi i must congratulate you all for the enjoyment and humour your channels have brought to me in the last few months ive also learnt a little bit about bass fishing excellent job all . Not long back from the North Georgia mountains and did a fair amount of fishing and even caught my first bass on a artificial lure after i had learnt from you guys. Im a avid angler here in the UK here also but hadnt a clue about the lure fishing thing never had confidence in the them before, anyways thanks for learning me to fish the American way im missing it already . take care all and thanks once again!!!
Love fishing for Reds and Snook! I do believe one of those guys served his country....Awesome! And Thank You for serving more people should. I think if I missed that many fish I'd change to a different top water.
There's nothing more exasperating than being in the middle of lots of fish, seeing them literally attack your lures, and still not connecting!!! I feel your pain! Tomorrow's another day... and your videos, whether you haul them in all day, or get skunked, are still the Best! Never Stop!
my very first saltwater fish was a baracuda I caught in san Diego. they sure fight hard and are a blast to catch. maybe next time. love the vids man keep it up.. never stop fishing
also chrome jigs or any shiny spoon or spinners work great for cudas. I really preffer crank lures for cudas which are sinking or preferably suspending because when I pause in between my retrieves and jerks I want my lure to stay in the same depth..not sink or float up. so suspending lures are best. so please try different retrieves. fast then sudden pause for few scones then pull with jerk then stop again for 5 seconds. give the fish a reason to bite. make it look like an easy target or injured fish. I catch so many cudas in a couple hours that I. run out of space on my boat.
Never seen so many people have a such a good time at catching nothing. LOL. You guys were like kids at Christmas morning looking under the tree. Sweet Video!!
The key to this type of fishing is to try and achieve a skipping action with your lure. Those tubes mostly imitate needlefish, which skip along the surface of the water when being pursued, like the vestigial version of a flying fish. Silversides and other slender, fast-moving baitfish will also skip along the surface to evade predators... it breaks up their outline and interrupts the predator's line of sight. There are actually lures made specifically to achieve this sort of action
Jon B. I'm moving to Jamaica in a few... I was thinking it'd be nice to see you do a tour of Jamaica, put your skillz to the test. Freshwater, saltwater, river, pond...
if you used your fly rod with a white flashing streamer you would have had a blast with the cudas you could have also used on the dock lights a night awesome video btw
Have any tips for finding bank spots? I'm from mid west coast florida and all the lakes and ponds have houses around them. Not much public access lakes and I don't have a boat.
Dude I LOVE YOUR FISHING VIDS!!! I live in Aruba you have Some real big fish here! My most epic fish was a 66 lbs wahoo. I hope you come here some day to fish. Keep up the good work!
I was snorkeling around the rocks at Grand Turk last year just checking out the reef fish when a huge Cuda streaked right past me from behind and snagged one of the fish I was watching. It blew my mind..like a bolt if lightning.
Jon, if you ever go cooda fishing again, use a splinter, everyone of those blow ups wouldve been a huge cooda. Ive fished with tube, and splinter, and i strongly suggest using a splinter
Florida is just so freakin beautiful and if you love the outdoors then it's a perfect place for you. Wished I could live there or have a 2nd home on the water down there.
First fish I caught in florida was a 3 1/2 foot barracuda off a dock at fort jefferson (90 miles from cuba) i was 11 years old. we were using bait fish and it was caught around sunset! good luck
I spend 5 days a week in a Wellcraft 302 in the waters off Sarasota, and a 17' Carolina Skiffs low draft. For $60k (they were each 2yrs old) completely fitted out, I have what I think is the ultimate FL fresh, saltwater, and flats boats. They're easy to tow and easy to launch. Within 50 miles of my home, I have what I think is the ultimate fresh and salt water fishing. 12 months a year, there is great fishing here. If you've never done it, plan a trip hiring a good Barracuda guide. It's a complete blast.
That editing was legit bro... Also you went all out 1rod when you were trying to catch cuda😂😂😂 he would be proud!😂👌 best of luck tomorrow man, i know you'll kill it... You just have to get some cuda spotters, and you'll be set
Yo Jon, fishing in your area of the states.. How often do you catch walleye? Over here in Washington small mouth are so abundant we can't keep them off the hook.. Curious if you have the reverse issue lol
I'm from wv,(West Virginia) an I came to Florida for some barracuda fishin, an I had the same thing happen to me, so.-I switched colors up Everytime they came around to entice them more an I found that a multicolored lure or worm works the best at a medium retrieve. but that's what I know. hope it helps bud!

Is it wrong if I like closed faced reels better than open??
VERY COOL BLOWUPS! BARRACUDA tries to eat but can't catch because we suck at cuda fishing.
What's that beeping thing at the tip of the boat for?
