Great to see this build kick off brother! I always love following along and this one looks like it'll be a blast. Can't wait to see this beautiful P-47 come to life 😊👍
So i had a jemco P-47 back in the day. My 3rd plane. It had a option to run the exhaust out the back. But it really cause the engine to loose power . So be aware of that . But looking good so far. It is a high quality kit for sure.
Brent you are catching up with Kermit Weeks only your museum is a smaller scale. A great start for your WWII air corp!!! Great looking P-47. Are you going to a different scheme and nose at? I like the Tarheel Hal version. That's what I used on my flat foamie. Tom Fabbri design kit. John from Hayden, Idaho
Reinforce the tail and aft appendidge. I have this same plane with a da85 thats more than enough power. Read the threads on where to reinforce or you will have a short lived plane.
@@kirkwheeler5442 really? All seems pretty beefy to me. Far better than the top rc f4u i just finished. Its goibg to be propped to only go about 100mph. So im not super worried about it
@@kirkwheeler5442 also the 222 runs almost as smooth as electric. No doubt a da85 would cause quite a bit of shaking to the tail. Also im not going to be using the cheezy pushrod setup for the elevators
@@morpheus61361 because big electric gear are slow...amd very sensitive. If they have any resistance at all they will just stop. Also basically you have to replace the provided controller with something better. Ill give these a shot. With robart not making any gear....i dont currently have other options
If you search Big planes UK you will find an amazing Brit hobby site with Top RC and CY models for sale. You will see they have a fresh container arriving with both brands inside. Same factory. Top RC is rebranded CY models. They had such horrible quality control and bad reputation that they renamed and supposedly improved. I never saw a CY that did not have defects. Great designs, poor quality. Even heard vendor( Texas RC old owner) was told by cy owner that he knew he had a big quality problem at factory some years ago.
@@captainaxle438 top rc is the old esm. Atleast some of the designs are. Cy models in general look like crap and ill never own one. The robart p47 is done by global jet club. Well made
@hechtspeed disagree, the top RC are way to similar in size and models to the cy that Texas RC used to have. Almost identical. Esm were smaller, mostly 71 to 80 in wingspans sold by Troy built models. Also notice that about when Texas RC was sold, top RC appeared. If you had poor quality and wanted to improve your brand you would rename it top
@@captainaxle438 the top rc models are far more scale than the cy. The cy were always junk in looks and quality imo. Maybe cy makes the top rc model not sure. In any case they seem to atleast be adressing issues as production goes.
@@hechtspeed oh yeah they're better he's improving them. That's why they only offered 2 at first and now expanding the line. I'm waiting to see the improved 98 inch P -40 and the Italian fighter plane. Cy had some cool stuff. I still have the 120inch Fokker D8. Had defective wing, took a year for Texas RC to get a correct one. No matter who's making them all it's good news they are improving
Good luck with the P47, if your Corsair is an indication of your work, it will come out great!

Thanks for your videos. Getting my knowledge built up for when I go in.
Brent that is a lot of work brother, but man it will be worth it! I definitely prefer the razorback version on a P-47.
Looking forward to this one… good to hear that dryer alive and well!
Looking good. Can’t wait to see it come together.
Absolutely looking forward to seeing this in the air!! ❤❤
