When you sent me the text with the "Like a glove" pic of the engine/cowl I had no idea you had to do that to get it to fit! I just thought it did, Lol. Now that I look at that pic I can see the fiberglass. I love the scale prop method you're using with all these. I think the people that said you were crazy never tried it. Dang they look awesome!
Really enjoying watching this plane coming along! And YES, I totally agree with you regarding using proper terminology. Words have meaning. Most folks today don't "build" models, they assemble sub-components into one flying model. Hence the terms, RTF, ARF, etc. Great work brother!
Nice work Brent, great hands. I was just gettin' caught up on the "assembly" :) of this P-47. The cowl looks good in this video, it was definitely tight to begin with for that motor. Better to be cool than hot. Edit: I still prefer the grey F4u...not that it matters ;) AirHammer out!!

@@leeliddle7021 yeah guys dont understand the idea of prop design and pitch speed i guess. This motor is mlre than likely much easier kn the airframe than the DA85 most guys use. Those thing will litterally shake your teeth out. The dle 222 runs like butter and with the way i prop them...and the way i fly them...its a non issue..but you sorta need to know what your doing. Amd some people maybe dont get that lol
If you look at all the Corsairs and Bearcats flying, there all some kind of Blue , who knows what tbe correct blue is. In the war they used what they had
Man you are killing it lately with the Warbirds. What paint color is the Bearcat (code) if possible please. I got a Ziroli F6F from a Buddy that looks that dark and need to touch it up.
How much prop clearance do you have on these birds? I have 1-1/4" clearance with plane level on 96" hellcat running 27x12 on da-120 --- just curious how slim you have been getting your prop clearances . I m thinking of rounding the tips on props gaining an extra 1/2". I love to see these big engines crammed in these birds. after finishing my first Ziroli hellcat 10 years ago and adding 10 pounds with da100 i realized the 222 would fit and not be too heavy - at that time dle engines where still not 100% in my head - but wow, you have done it in spectacular fashion.... The dark blue is spot for the corsair - keep having fun!
@@MattKeller-w1t thanks!!! They havd a scale amount of clearance. Which isnt much hahaha. F8f has more than the corsair actually. But not by alot. Level the corsair has maybe 1.25"...havnt measured. Its not much lolol

I know this video is about the p47 but I'm building Corsair (1800) wingspan and have inatalled a DLE 40. I wanted to install a Ramoser prop but have hit a brick wall as to install Prop hub to dle shaft as dle uses 4 bolts to retain prop, any ideas ?🙏😓
Color is subject to everyone's preference. Being in the printing industry since 1979. Try mixing ink to satisfy a customer. If you're a professional painter you know what I'm talking about. Build your own planes per your own desires people.

As a fan of the radial engine planes you need a FW190A for the collection.

@@shanep8386 im not familiar with tgat prop hub design. Did you contact the company about it?
Id feel better with the fire wall at least wet tied on the bottom and sides. Looking really good so far.
