Mr Reeve's work is incredible ! Just like the famous illustrators Alan Lee and John Howe, I'd like to find a book showing more of Reeve's artwork, including researches, sketches, WIPs, explanations about how he proceeds... Thanks NotR for this great interview.
This interview shows why no other adaptation will ever be able to replicate or surpass the PJ LOTT films. The level of dedication, attention to detail and passion that the cast and crew showed can never be recreated.
Ahh we met Daniel on the October Fellowship tour. What an absolute gentleman he is and so generous with his time. (Thought I recognised that hotel carpet 😂😂😂)
Why there isn't a Daniel Reeve edition of the book is beyond me. Give me a LotR edition with chapter headings in his script. Give me little hand-drawn illustrations throughout the text. Give me his versions of the maps. And give it a weathered leather cover like it's an ancient artifact
Dear Sir, People familiar with the ME map may have noticed that, in the movie, Legolas and the Uruk look to the wrong side, when they "sense" each other. Cheers from Brazil!
My wife & I met him on our September tour before heading to Hobbiton for the big party on 22nd. We were with Red Carpet as well & felt absolutely privileged to spend a few hours listening to him & admiring his work. I admit I probably spent far too much buying a selection of his maps paintings & sketches, all of which he personally signed, embossed with his personal stamp & a few phrases appropriate to each item I'd bought. They guy was an absolute gent & happy to grant all our requests.

What an incredible craftsman! His work is absolutely legendary and awe-inspiring.
Such a cool job to have had!
I have met Daniel many times and have many pieces of his artwork. He is a class act !
The maps of Middle Earth are essential to the lore! I dig this interview.
He spoke straight out of my heart with what he said about being glad to have Ian McKellan as his imagination of Gandalf!
Great interview - nice job - and love the little nuggets of information you got out of him during it. I truly enjoy all your work
R.I.P - David Weatherley. He played Barliman Butterbur in LoTR
Great interview!
What a dream of a job! Little me probably dreamed of doing something like this (and did, in her own way). Very cool interview!

Such wonderful ornamentation of calligraphy and art!
He’s very handsome 🥰

A fairytale come true. What a wonderful story.
Ahm, as he is a master... we could call him CirDaniel, right?
Maybe just CirDan for fun?
Great interview with a fascinating guest. Good stuff.

Amazing! Daniel is such a brilliant artist
I really loved the red-book of westmarch (or how is it spelled)
Matt should be a character in any LOTR movies, anime, or series in the future. Thank you for a fantastic interview
You made my day! Thank you!
I was wondering who had done that excellent portrait of Bilbo. Good to know it was Ori. ;-)
Marvelous ❤
He looks like Celebrimbor!!!!!!
What a talented man!
Awesome
Now I want to read all those letters to Bilbo!
I would LOVE to get that shirt Daniel is wearing. Does anybody have a link or is it custom? I NEED TO KNOW
Awesome😂
Theory vid idea: If the Elves had exposed and unmasked Annatar as Sauron as soon as he arrived in Lindon?

He looks like he could be related to the actor who played Celebrimbor!
@1:50 I appreciate those beautiful covers he created at 13 years old 😍, however as a one volume TLoTR kinda gal I did cringe on the inside. Buahah. 😅
... Can you talk about Mirdania? I see a theory about her being Celebrian...
Que nivel, casi nada 🔥🔥🔥
Rings of Power S2 series review as a Christmas gift? 🎄
