The Perilla/ Sesame leaf controversy started in a korean TV show. So a famous couple and a friend had a meal together. The friend had a hard time picking up or grabbing the Perilla leaf using chopsticks. - Because we all know that all of the meals or even side dishes in Korea are for sharing --- So, one of the couple suddenly got jealous of his partner as he was helping the friend to pull down the excess leaf.
This topic was circulating in Korea for months now and they are still debating whether it's okay to help someone pick or grab the Perilla leaf or let the person who is eating grabbed the leaf at her own risk..
It must be cultural for sure... Because I've done WAY more than that to friends in the presence of a SO before and it's definitely not seen as anything ahahaha 🤣

😆 😅 😂“The perilla leaf debate” or 깻잎 논쟁 - It’s about an imaginary situation in which you're eating with your partner and your friend. One side dish on the table is pickled perilla leaves. This Korean dish is notoriously hard to peel one by one and your friend goes to grab a leaf, but two leaves are stuck together. So in this situation, A) is it okay for your partner to use her/his chopsticks to help the friend peel off a leaf, or B) is this going too far?

I dunno, some Koreans may be a bit possesive w/ partners. That is why we have "Saesangs" 😁 😆 😅 Just a wild opinion~
Yeah that's why I'm saying it's probably a cultural thing that doesn't exist in my country (and most western I feel countries) at all ahah 😆
NaTzu really have a REALEST date, it's just not a real romantic couple.(you know what I mean). SaChaeng feels like a friendship date. JeongDa feels like a sibling date. I think that's what made it awkward for NaTzu.
