@petesy03 to cause accidents! If you have your hands off the controls cos your using your hands like a proper maggot you have no control of your machine. I work with excavators everyday! The company I work for, have all there machines, delivered with no travel leavers, you have to use your feet in all the company machines! So much better!
Only way mate. Always intended on taking the levers off but I heard it may affect insurance or something like that so never did in the end. They just get in the way most of the time
@irishdiggerman5691 that's exactly it mate, they just get in the way, and they don't encourage people to use their feet, which I think is dangerous to not use your feet! Surely they just unbolt from the pedal? And you can take them off, and put them back on if you need to claim insurance! Lad at work broke his ankle, so they put the leavers back on for him, so he could work, once he got a bit better!
@timfagan816 yeah they do bolt off but on the hitachi you need a to replace the bolt with a shorter 1 i think otherwise it sticks out when lever is removed. Maybe some day
Hola hermano soy de Cuba y estoy iniciando en el mundo de la maquinaria pesada ,me gustaría que isieras videos explicando qué ases , como lo ases ,para aprender más de tí . porque creo que eres un excelente operador, felicitaciones😅
Thanks for replying Chap I've been a 360 op 25+yrs and thinkin ov doin GPS course but wanna know how easy/hard it is to learn coz I'm not to clued up with that sort of stuff,ps ya make it look so fukkin easy
You'll be fine, mate. It Really is a piece of cake once you get your head around the basics of using the screen in the cab. It's simply like having a drawing inside the cab that tells you how deep to dig or how much to fill. Don't be stressing, pal. After a couple of days, you'll wonder how we ever managed without it. You become so much more efficient, and eventually, the only person you will need is an operator for the dumper/roller and maybe 1 groundworker, depending on the job you're doing. Most of the time, I'm left alone. No one bothers me. If I need something, I ask. Otherwise, you are able to just dig like fuck 🤣🤣 gps won't make a bad operator good. But it will make a good operator better 👌👌
No boots you must be comfortable in the cab. Is that monitor connected to a level or is it the little yellow box on the arm near the bucket. Keep up the great work.
Haha yeah boots are off for me lad. For 2 reasons. Comfort and keeps muck off floor and pedals. There is a sensor behind that yellow box at hitch as well as 1 on dipper and boom and undercarriage. I can have full site plans on that screen with everh level I need for the whole job. It really is brilliant. Obviously I need boys on the ground to help lay the pipes but most other jobs like reducing ground and grading stone etc I can do all on my own.
Nice 1 for replying AGAIN that was actually helpful 🥃 Thing is mi job fin last wk,is it easy to 4get if ya outta work 4 a while Catch 22 🥃🥃 Fuck it get pissed Proppa chilled ya look
🤣🤣 no worries mate. Tbh I look forward to getting a spell on machine without gps these days. It's so more relaxed. No pressure to push and dig on like fuck. But honestly no need to stress mate. It's just the same as some1 spraying a line on the ground for you to dig 2 and having some1 beside you with a spinning laser but instead of the line being on the ground it's on a screen in front of your face and instead of a man pointing at you to go up or down the screen flashes and tells you direct. No middle man. 👍👍
There are the same lazy people in France who watch the excavator work with their hands in their pockets with their smartphone. j'appelle cela des bras cassés. I call it broken arms.
Having just used a 2.7t excavator fo the 1st time, I commend you on the excellent skill & control. 👍🏻
Good man. Keep at it 👍👍

Thats some statement pal 😉 appreciated 👍
Great video Stevie, nice work mate
Cheers Ryan 🤙🤙
Good to finally see a video of someone using their feet to track the machine around. I hate seeing guys push the travel leavers with their hands! 😢
What are they there for

@irishdiggerman5691 keep the muck outside and keep it clean inside. I say it's handy how it tells you deep your digging a hole.
@michaelsomers6535 that's the plan lad 😉 yeah real handy. Just speeds you up because your not waiting on another man to check levels for ya.
Last time Sir am I right in thinking it's £150 to do GPS course coz fukkin Lifting Op's yesterday cost £250 🥃200 yr old Malt is that
I've no idea pal. I never did any course for gps. I got In the cab and taught myself as I went.

my pet hate banging the bucket
I'll be honest I hate doing it as well. Some times was by accident, I'll admit some times was just to try and clear the clay. Really sticky gear
They send guys back to the hall where I work if they do it more than once
When you get time Bro I'd love 2 pick ya brain, I'm 25yr exp n still don't know it all
Will we ever know it all pal? Still learning everyday!! How can I help? Pick away 😉

I would never take anyone serious in an excavator without shoes on

Much ye on a pipe 😅
🤣🤣 of I was getting paid by the pipe lad that video would be very different 🤣
