Just a plug for the Best Tug. I needed a new tug for a new plane. I also wanted an auxiliary power supply for doing avionics updates. They have always been generous.
Driving my wife crazy telling her about your videos, but she watched a couple and can see why I find them so entertaining. I’m not an aviation guy, but I AM a machine guy. I just love things that work and move. I got the aviation bug from my wife’s cousin, who built a plane in his garage (Murphy Rebel), then decided he wanted an upgrade and built himself an RV-8A. His Rebel got the tandem rudder pedal kit installed and became a flight trainer, a very noble occupation for a well-crafted home built. I just lived all of the interesting gear needed to put a plane together, all things I’d never seen before. I bucked a bunch of rivets in the RV’s main spar, so I guess I helped build a plane. In short, I get to live vicariously through RUclips. Thanks for what you do.😬

Mike, I always wanted to fly in the military. As a USAF brat I watched F4s fly out of Elmendorf AB then I found out I can't tell the difference between red and green. My love over flight never waned. My first RC Model since 1989 is the Draco. I have almost one-hour full flight time. The 3D model acts up in ground air as the Full scale did. I LOVE IT! I didn't fly in 25mph winds in Ok. today.
I've got to say, this series is totally addictive. Mike the whole mad scientist thing is totally working for you, the more I watch, the more enthusiastic I get about getting back into flying, after having been away since 1992. Keep it going, I love it!
Rob, Get back into it if at all possible, That is what I am doing. I shopped around until I found a deal I could not pass up. I bought a 1961 Aircoupe that was sitting in a T-hangar, collecting dust, for less than $5,000.00. I drove over 1200 miles each way with a trailer and took the wings off and hauled it from South Texas to East Georgia. I am weeks from finishing it and my son has helped me rework everything. He is excited about flying as I am. Good luck and God bless!
OH, I have been out of flying since 1984 and I am 58. My son is 21 and my daughter is 14 and they both want to learn to fly. My wife eh, not so much. LOL
That sneak peak of the carbon fiber was super tasty looking! As one of the viewers who has asked for more of the engineering: What you can share is appreciated. I for one, fully appreciate that sharing all of your engineering iterations would slow the project to a stop and require a decent sized video team to capture and edit all the footage. Keep sharing what you can. Another great video!

Most people struggle to do enough work to make videos consistently, Mike does so much work the video production can't keep up.....wtf man. I've been waiting for an update and that sneak peak looks JUICY!
Mike, I was very impressed with your son's drive and ingenuity. To take something worthless and broken, and fix it and sell it for a handsome profit. I have taught my son this with wrecked, and broken down cars, and now we are reworking the Aircoupe/Ercoupe together. He is learning how to fix aircraft just like I am. Very cool!
Mark, Your videos are some of the few I cannot RESIST!!! Thank you soooo much for including all of us in the development and building of Scrappy!!! I can’t wait to see the results, and be assured, I, along with many thousands, (dare I say “millions”) of aviation enthusiasts are coming along for the ride!!! And what a ride it is!!! Thanks, Harley Arrants
I’m a mechanical engineer with an RC plane / copter habit. Mike’s videos are Mind Candy!! Keep up the Design and Simulate segments. Love watching Virtual become Real Thanks for sharing your process.
Your Scrappy "mini-series" is so fun to watch. I'm learning so much about interesting subjects that had never caught my interest (all of your videos do this for me). Thank You!
Well Mike I'm living in the Uk and I've only ever come across one man like you who's brain is working way ahead of what he is working on and building. I spent half of my working life working underwater where there was nothing ever built for what you needed. I used to surface sit down and have a beer with this guy and tell him the problem I had underwater. The next day I would come to work and he would say try this and he never let me down it would work. You could tell him a problem and he would think about it and sure it would be fixed the next day. Your in the same mold your brain is way ahead of what you are building the only difference is you have the ability and skill to do it yourself, wonderful to watch and I can't wait to see Scrappy built Good Luck.
Thanks again for your Extreme positivity and aliveness. "Let's Get Back to Work!" should be the motto for the country right now. Great work. Can't wait for your next!
Thank you for these amazing videos, Mike! I have no contact to aviation except through your enthusiasm and my childhood fascination with flight and airplanes. Love what you are doing and especially your passion.
I say it again, somewhere in the Patey´s Family Tree Timeline are Pictures of the Energizer/Duracell Bunny and MacGuyver. I still wait for the swiming gear, at least you´re not into submarines... or scrappy will learn to dive in the water.
what do ya think tundra tires are for.......lol.....next he'd build carbon fiber floats with built in foam coolers...hard to get 36's in as retractable wheels though.....be like foam lined wheel pants
OEM never means what you hope. It's always guys like us that make it great, nothing is better than creating what you imagined and worked out in your head, on paper, virtually and finally in the shop. The feeling of creation simply can't be touch by any experience I've ever had.

That being said, this comment is actually great - use of zip ties in BDSM is really frowned upon these days because if you get them too tight you cant get them off, and they cut off blood circulation (everyone got very angry when the 50 shades of grey movies used tons of zip ties in unsafe manners). The rubber lining would be nicer on your lady, but the main appeal is that i'm pretty sure Mike mentioned in a previous video that Grip Lock Ties can be undone/released, really mitigating the danger of over-tightening then not being able to cut them loose.
You have got to be the most consistently happy cheerful guy I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Mike... You're incredible. We want you to stay incredible. Humans need sleep. You need to sleep and chill sometimes. Have you had a checkup at the doctor lately? cholesterol, blood pressure, blood lab check. I simply cannot see how you can continue at this pace. If you haven't had a complete physical lately you need to every year. Not to sound like some nanny, but we want you to be around for a long time and ultimately your personal health is everything. Thanks for the videos. Love watching them and your crazy pace. Be safe.
Mike, are you concerned with the interaction between the main wing and the gear lifting bodies especially in high (relative) and low speed flight? I can't imagine the lift vector is complimentary in all phases of flight. Do you do some stability and control simulation as well? Brilliant video content! You really get the critical thinking juices flowing. Thanks for your hard work. Cudos to your son as well.
I’ve been wanting to tear out my old kitchen cabinets and build new ones to replace them. I am fond of hickory and red Oak. But after watching these videos I’m afraid my cabinets may end up being fiberglass and carbon fiber. Mike please stop me.
Forged carbon fiber counter tops with clear epoxy coating... it would look almost like granite, weigh nothing, and be almost indestructible ... humm maybe not my kitchen but my workshop.... now that is tempting.
I wonder if the Best Tugs info more transparent we could see through it when you hold parts up where it is. Im sure you could still get the advertising tax write off and people would know you are BestTugs and not another company.
Geez Mike is there anything you can't do....I so enjoy your videos and forward too new ones so impressed with your attention to detail and safety scrappy will revolutionize back country flying the way Draco did scrappy is going to be off the hook can't wait.... Back to work
I like your fitting and the jig layout. That's a nice table you have to work on. A very important part of the jig layout. Also, the rubber on the pull ties is a great idea. I love to watch someone with great skills in this field. Those suspension mounts look really nice. I'm curious to watch you're follow up on the wing build. Looking forward to the next segment on your wings. Hats 0ff Mike.
I can build you A 1/3 scale for 8,000 If you look at my page you can see some of my work. 1/4 scale Stinson sr-9F4 time in magazines like MODEL AIRPLANE NEWS / Scale r.c. modeler/ High flight/ 6Time award winning with smoke lights and full cockpit doors open baggage comp opens and it plays FLY ME TO THE MOON When the passenger door is opened check me on Facebook James Prive,
If Mike provides us with a 3d model or at least blueprints, you could definitely build it out of foam or balsa or even completely out of carbon (hard to do). If you'd build it out of foam with a wingspan of around 35-40 inches (1m) the cost would be something like 150$ for the electronics, remote and materials. If you never built anything before i'd use foam board. Easy to cut and shape and you glue it with hot glue!
@@linecraftman3907 To small I only build super scale giant 1/3scale 155inch wingspan or bigger. Small stuff outta foam that gets dented & paint wont stick to for very long is great for A toy.... Balsa wood and play and wrap the fuse in carbon. Also I draw my own plans from pictures and specs. I can build one for about 5,000 but that would be without making A dime and I only build for cash/ ready to fly 8,000. Im thinking about converting A balsa usa Super cub I built and flew in TOPGUN its1/3 scale into A scrappy. It had an off runway event that caused some small damage and needs to be recovered anyways its 80cc gas.
Greetings from Spain! I am currently doing my bachelor´s thesis on buckling of aerospace structures. I am using Abaqus for the FEM simulations with way less elements than what you show for your landing gear around 7:20. I keep wondering: how many days do your simulations take to complete? Keep up the great content :)
Well if he is doing only static load deformation, even with huge meshes it might be quite straigthforward and not take ages but who knows, maybeMike did also built a custom made supercalculator during his free time :P He could also have recreated the geometry only using thrusses and thus having 1D element to speed up, but you know once the cad is done, and you have plenty of work to do, you can launch the simulation and come back one week after to see the results, it won't stop you from working !!
Good for Dex! I did the exact same thing with jet skis at his age and made a nice chunk of change doing it. Most of all, it set me up really well for engineering school. It might seem like just a "greasy parts changing" hobby but there is a TON to learn from it that I'm still leaning on today as both a hobbyist and military pilot. Keep it up!
mike patey is something elon musk will never be ....a hands on build himself not pay others to do it for him ....this is not a disrespectful comment only my opinion of the 2

OK so it scrubbed, I'd rather that than they actually need that abort system they tested so thoroughly. That being said, the next launch attempt is Saturday so put that in your plans if you can!
The things you can do mike amazes me just like my dad did building Strega and Dego Red. It could be a really good part he built but if it wasnt perfect he would build again until it's perfect. You are old school in that way mike and that is a perfect thing too. I feel at home when I see you build your perfect parts. Keep up the great work and hope one day I can see it in person. Besafe. Thank u

Mike I am not yet a pilot. My son is a Major in the Air Force and a C130 pilot. Also flew the C146 for years. I think more intro flight programs to get us into the seat and getting the process started. I live very close to a GA airport, Falcon Field, and love being the turning point for the final approach especially when the war birds are out from the CAF base here. I'm a high tech kind of Gearhead and give you props for your design and build details. Thanks for posting. Love your younger son's interest on the engines.
It's a high tech engineering video 101. It's a work of aviation art Mike. You certainly have learnt how to build an aircraft or three. Thanks for sharing. Some pilots have no clue about engineering and mechanics. It's an education.
Hey Mike, I just wanted to let you know what an inspiration you are for me. Your approach to life and work has really helped me. Your energy is infectious and I'm coming to realize just how much can be accomplished by just getting on with things. Thank you!
Look how much can be accomplished when you quarantine yourself! The "Scrappy" build gets crazier with every segment. Mike, you truly are a magician! Your attention to detail, your shear tallent (not to mention your gift of gab) make each video educational and entertaining. It makes my day to spend a half hour to watch the latest "Magic" your creating! BACK TO WORK!! (Making more videos I hope!)
I am fascinated with the tremendous progress you have made and respect the amount of research you do before commencing the build of a component. The only thing I’ll mention is about the extra wing area you are making. A good friend of mine Charles Ligetti who made a incredible ultralight aircraft unfortunately died whilst testing his upgraded Stratos. He had added a third wing area which was close to the propeller and had spectacular low stall speeds compared to the original prototype. The performance increase was dramatically improved as well. However when he did a purposeful stall it was vicious and dramatic and he could not recover and died. A second Stratos was made as no one had figured out the aerodynamic reason for the crash. It had a loss of power on take off and because the test pilot had just left ground effect it stalled and crashed. The third wing was gaining so much lift from the proximity to the prop it allowed the aircraft to fly well below it’s actual stall speed. Can you please research the effect of your third wing regarding stall ? I’d wanted to mention it as I did not wish to loose another friend I respect.
I wanted to say that i appreciate very much, the push you've made in video quality in such a short time. It was never a requirement, you're greater than life and so are your projects, but i (and i'm sure others too) appreciate it.
Whaoo this "scrappy" is starting to look like a flying pagani zonda ... all woven carbon clear coated , billet cnc aluminum everything, lycomming 8 cyl boxer, full glass cockpit ... i cant wait to see the full idea materializing in videos, its just so adictive and so sayisfying, just awesome ingeneering and craftmanship ! What you've acomplished is stunning ! Thanks for sharing !

I have been an aviation enthusiast since I was a child and I follow everyone who can motivate me and continue my passion.
I'm really enjoying this build. Watching all the brilliant design ideas going into this aircraft, and seeing them go from images on a screen, to a fully functioning, beautifully finished part, makes for great viewing. If I can find one negative, it would be that every time I watch one of these Scrappy vids, it makes me so anxious to see it all completed!😬 I can't wait!!😋 I'm torn between; "Make more awesome Scrappy build videos" and, "Hurry up and finish already, and go flying!"😜
Glad to see the progress you are making. It is continually amazing to see the infectious enthusiasm you possess. I have always had fun with my flying but especially when I am able to share the experience with friends and students. I get that same energy from following you. I appreciate you sharing this and I truly can not get enough of it.

Dear Mike: I thoroughly enjoy your videos and your attention to detail and doing it right even when it requires extra effort. After I reviewed this video one small thing kept bothering me and I had to review it again so you could see what I was talking about. At the 9:44 mark, you can see a bolt on the upper arm on the right side gear (as you are in the cockpit). As with a balloon or an innertube the wheel when under the pressure of a hard landing can bulge and potentially hit the bolt causing a flat.

LOL
i KNOW what you mean my cubs been in tha hangar near 3 years....trailer house on runway waiting for the backhoe guy
Thank you!! 🤠👍🏻
@@MikePatey I know you have plenty of your own projects but you might be interested in this guys quest to build a clean sheet 1,200- 1,800-ish HP 60° V12.

Very cool!
This is like watching Leonardo da Vinci INVENT something. Mike's a GENIUS.
No kidding
Couldn't say it better! Awesome content and explanations
I am envious. I'm missing out. But each have skills
Absolutely but very annoying, he drives me nuts!
I have no clue what the fuck he is saying half the time, But Iam always amazed by him. I wish I had half his smarts.
It made me super happy to see how supportive you are to your children. You're a great father. You can be proud of them, and yourself.
The heck with Space-X, come on Mike.
i am just keeping X on mute on another tab!
Bingo
😂😂 You guys are awesome!!
No cloudy sky is gonna cancel Scrappy’s launch! 💪👌
It's 780 C.I.D. OF..IN Thrust We trust Mike.
Mark,
Your videos are some of the few I cannot RESIST!!! Thank you soooo much for including all of us in the development and building of Scrappy!!!
I can’t wait to see the results, and be assured, I, along with many thousands, (dare I say “millions”) of aviation enthusiasts are coming along for the ride!!! And what a ride it is!!! Thanks,
Harley Arrants
Good lord the carbon fiber on that "sneak peek" is beautiful.
Drool Worthy
That is one gorgeous part!
I know, I started salivating when I saw that! There might have even been some swelling in my crotch area!!
😮😄
When Mike posts a video that says "BACK TO WORK" it is time to drop what I am doing for a 1/2 hour and watch!!!
Mike's "back to work" means "drop all work" for me.
Always look for your video's FIRST!!...absolutely love Scrappy and the journey you have allowed us to live with you!!..👍👍👍🇺🇸
I was feeling down and needed a pick me up.... Wait!? What is this? A Mike Patey Vid? Yes.... just what I needed. Back to work!
Thanks again for your Extreme positivity and aliveness. "Let's Get Back to Work!" should be the motto for the country right now. Great work. Can't wait for your next!
Great to see your kid wrenching. Most kids/ young adults his age don't know how to change a tire.
Too soon dude.
SHIT ... wrong year
what do ya think tundra tires are for.......lol.....next he'd build carbon fiber floats with built in foam coolers...hard to get 36's in as retractable wheels though.....be like foam lined wheel pants
Best comment 😂😂
OEM never means what you hope. It's always guys like us that make it great, nothing is better than creating what you imagined and worked out in your head, on paper, virtually and finally in the shop. The feeling of creation simply can't be touch by any experience I've ever had.
Absolutely. 🤠
Legends of Mike and his slightly transparent grey rectangle pet .
Its name is Reggie and it likes strawberries and the smell of avgas
Great Video!!! Been in the certified world for 46 years, after watching what can be done outside of that box, the itch to get out is getting stronger.
Just want to say how much I appreciate that you take the enormous amount of time to document this and share it with us. The years of learning you are sharing are amazing, and I actually think that one of the very best things about the the intergoogleweb is the availability of education. It relies on the quality of the content, and this is the best.
I am sure you would rather be working on the plane, but this probably does more for GA than anything else I can think of. Thanks.
Truth! The amount of knowledge he shares is out of this world
He is a true inspiration!!!!
You said everything I wanted to say.
Mike's enthusiasm for creating airplanes and flying is exciting and inspiring.

That may be really happy to see your son engaging and hard and technical work for a very achievable goal.
Can't wait to see the next installments in this build series. Outstanding and inspirational work, Mike!
Love your work and attitude. You've done a great job passing down your vision of scrappy - can't wait to see her finished.
I hope more people find this channel, anyone who finds it and is remotely interested in engineering/fabrication will absolutely love this content!
I am always amazed at how much I learn by watching your videos. They are interesting and educational. Since I am restoring a 1961 Forney F1A Aircoupe, I love your energy and enthusiasm. You make GA seem fun and exciting! God bless and keep the content coming.
I recommend the Grip Lock Ties. They never leave a mark on her wrists.
Rich Glenn 😂😂😂
That being said, this comment is actually great - use of zip ties in BDSM is really frowned upon these days because if you get them too tight you cant get them off, and they cut off blood circulation (everyone got very angry when the 50 shades of grey movies used tons of zip ties in unsafe manners). The rubber lining would be nicer on your lady, but the main appeal is that i'm pretty sure Mike mentioned in a previous video that Grip Lock Ties can be undone/released, really mitigating the danger of over-tightening then not being able to cut them loose.
Mike, your enthusiasm is contagious! I am PUMPED and looking forward to the next installment! Peace be with you.
Best inspiring video during this down time for lots of people. Stay safe and strong.
You have got to be the most consistently happy cheerful guy I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. The late night garage film sesh with your son made me smile even more, after I'm already cheesing watching the screen. You sir are one proud papa!! And you have every right to be as enthusiastic as you please! God Bless America 🇺🇸
A WOW Mike...... I thought Draco was IT,.... not any more, this will be outstanding . ...... BRAVO SIR ! and ... Do you have a time line for the Grand Public Showing ? I want/need some 8X10's for my
office wall... made Oshkosh '18 just for Draco. THANK YOU for the Great Video.
Thank you!!
Hi Mike, not sure if you read comments here. But Im here in SA and are working with a guy that does develop different cnc routers 3d printers etc. He has a 4 axis cnc designed to cut surfboards. It will also work for those types of wings, might save you some time too. Just want to mention though. Enjoy watching your engineering skills and passion. Greetings
Imagine if all Americans had Mike's attitude.
Many do. Especially in Spanish Fork.
Luckily we have a great president PRESIDENT TRUMP with that attitude so that's a start. Blue lives matter! MAGA! Lock her up!
If the whole world had his attitude we’d be a galactic superpower by now
Mike, Your willingness to share Your Project(s) is Great. As for being behind on videos, Not to Worry !
We appreciate the effort/work/time diverted from Your Company and Project(s) to create this content.
I think You and Mark are accomplishing Your Goal of Promoting General Aviation, PLUS a whole lot more.
Your Vids are Entertaining in the Extreme for so many areas of interest. Engineering, Design, Statics AND
even ART (ascetics). Thank You, Sir.
P.S: It was a bitter/sweet sentation to see Draco in the back. Hopefully she can "kiss the clouds" some day soon. Cheers!
Love the in-depth explanation of stress simulation using affordable software. The work you and your brother do for G.A. is simply amazing. Keep up the good work, and stay safe. Greetings from Thor in Norway.
Mechanical Engineer here with a history of Stress Analysis...I enjoy seeing you step through your builds...buuut now you have forced me to start the Private Pilots License process! Look forward to the latest videos and progress! Wish me luck on my next journey of becoming a pilot!
Be safe.
I was wondering when some one would convert their landing gear into a lifting surface, leave it to Mike to actually make it work.
Some old WWI biplanes had a small wing between its tires, but of course not as technically advanced as Mike's.
The pre-war Bellancas used this concept in many of their models. There really is nothing new in aviation!
I know old bi- plains had midwing between their wheels, but I we as thinking of wings on cabane style landing gear. Replace the "fabric".
Every time
Mike Patey has a new video ......... my world just stop and stand still :)
Patey, you are inspirational - you are truly blessed with talent. We are all fortunate to live through your eyes.
I’ve been wanting to tear out my old kitchen cabinets and build new ones to replace them. I am fond of hickory and red Oak. But after watching these videos I’m afraid my cabinets may end up being fiberglass and carbon fiber. Mike please stop me.
Don’t tell mike he will send you solid works drawings of a new and improved slim line soft close hardware for them.
Carbon would look so cool in a kitchen
Forged carbon fiber counter tops with clear epoxy coating... it would look almost like granite, weigh nothing, and be almost indestructible ... humm maybe not my kitchen but my workshop.... now that is tempting.
That sneak peak of the carbon fiber is awesome!!! I want my truck body made from that stuff. I’m learning some tricks here!
Back to work
17:40 Draco in the background 🥺😥
broken to the right, new one (white) to the left 😎
I like your fitting and the jig layout. That's a nice table you have to work on. A very important part of the jig layout. Also, the rubber on the pull ties is a great idea. I love to watch someone with great skills in this field. Those suspension mounts look really nice. I'm curious to watch you're follow up on the wing build. Looking forward to the next segment on your wings. Hats 0ff Mike.
Thank you for your comments!! 🤠👍🏻👍🏻
You need to make an RC version so even the most broke A$$ dreams of us can afford such an incredible model!!!
🥃cheers🍻
A small foamy can be made for 150 but the Motor servos and speed control would be cheap junk from hobby king . I build with FUTABA Hacker HITECH only
Also for scale reasons it would be gas powered since scrappy is gas powered. CHEERS GUYS happy landings
Great fun to see the progress. Thanks for taking us along!
Well if he is doing only static load deformation, even with huge meshes it might be quite straigthforward and not take ages but who knows, maybeMike did also built a custom made supercalculator during his free time :P
He could also have recreated the geometry only using thrusses and thus having 1D element to speed up, but you know once the cad is done, and you have plenty of work to do, you can launch the simulation and come back one week after to see the results, it won't stop you from working !!
On a fast computer, I bet that only takes maybe 20-30 minutes to run.
The mesh size appears to be small but it's tetrahedrals... and only 1 element through the thickness. Not very good for stress
Keep it up!
Currently bouncing back and forth between streams from my two favorite engineers- Mike Patey and Elon Musk
Mike all the way. Gotta respect a guy who can run businesses, maintain hobbies, AND care for his family.
Me too!
One is a real engineer the other one isn't. One is Honest the other one isn't.
Mr. Patey all the way
Eww Elon musk
mike patey is something elon musk will never be ....a hands on build himself not pay others to do it for him ....this is not a disrespectful comment only my opinion of the 2
I have too agree the best part of that video was the opening up the garage door a seeing your son " the new branch on the tree" I have two sons and two grandsons love too see that stuff happening😜
Back to work!! Thanks for the video👍😊
7:00 anyone else getting dead pixel on the right?
i get it through the while video
I see it the the entire vid
Thought my new phone was damaged until I rotated the screen, lol.
That's a lot more than one pixel, and yeah I see it.
Its part of his best tug bug up top. Just some design mistake that wasn't noticed when he made the title.
Thrilled to hear about the anaphylaxis respadicator , and the perfect way it fits into the phylboyd reluctance attenuation spradicum , but I'm getting impatient to see the plane ( all painted and shiny ) .......actually FLY !!!
Mike: "I'm gonna go get some rest"
Narrator: "12 Minutes Later"
Mike: "Hey guys! We're back at it..."
😂 I plugged in on the quick charger.
I fully expected them to jump cut and Mike says “just kidding, haha! let’s get back to WORK!”
Mr Mike, I've been machining for 15 years and just started working for a major aviation contractor that offered onsite ground school classes so now I'm flying I love your videos I'm a NC Programmer/engineer I love your videos I have my own cncs in my garage and would love to build my own custom plane some day!!! Keep posting please don't worry about quality I love them all!!!!
Hi Mike, try using a lavalier mic to reduce the echo. Cheers
That would be very much appreciate 🤝
The best thing you can do for GA and people in general is keep making your very inspirational videos!
Who’s watching the rocket launch later today!!🚀🚀🚀
I was hoping to see it from my front yard, but it's pouring rain and thundering now, so I don't know if it's a "go,"
Ah yeah you were right bout weather they just cancelled.
@@barrygrant2907 They scrubbed ... bummer
Besafe. Thank u
Just about an hour before SpaceX launches a manned rocket , your intro couldn’t be more fitting for today’s events.
Me, watching a couple of hours after the non-launch, also thought about the advancements in space industry on hearing the intro words.
MAN...!!! I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoy watching you guys! How much inspiration I get out of your videos, builds and designs, etc. Thank you very much for making this available and bringing us along for the journey.
All that money building Draco and Scrappy, but no money for a lavalier mic.
Or any mic for that matter. I enjoyed the video just the echo was pretty hard to bear.

I could watch your videos forever. They always end way too soon. Much thanks Mike.
Thank you!
I'm excited about it too. Now, back to watching you get back to work. Love it all!
Keep these videos coming mate. I know they are time consuming but we love your energy and can't wait to see what you come up with.
Hi Mike, I have been subscribed to your channel for a few months and I am convinced that you are a very happy guy, do you know why? All the videos I've seen you always present with a huge smile and this is incredibly motivating. Dude you're to be congratulated. May it always be so. Grateful to see my opinion. I have been an aviation enthusiast since I was a child and I follow everyone who can motivate me and continue my passion.
Wow! Thank you!!
I'm really enjoying this build.
Watching all the brilliant design ideas going into this aircraft, and seeing them go from images on a screen, to a fully functioning, beautifully finished part, makes for great viewing.
If I can find one negative, it would be that every time I watch one of these Scrappy vids, it makes me so anxious to see it all completed!😬
I can't wait!!😋
I'm torn between;
"Make more awesome Scrappy build videos"
and,
"Hurry up and finish already, and go flying!"😜
Glad to see the progress you are making. It is continually amazing to see the infectious enthusiasm you possess. I have always had fun with my flying but especially when I am able to share the experience with friends and students. I get that same energy from following you. I appreciate you sharing this and I truly can not get enough of it.
Incredible dedication. I must have more scrappy....aka “trophy truck with wings”. One of the most inspirational people I’ve ever witnessed in the world of aviation. You sir are an innovator. You have my utmost respect and appreciation.
I love your channel. I’m a guy that loves GA. I have chrones and can’t fly when I want. I’ve got 10 hours and it drives me nuts not being able to fly. You give me such inspiration and love for GA. I just want to say thank you.
Thank you and all my best wishes to you.
Dear Mike:
I thoroughly enjoy your videos and your attention to detail and doing it right even when it requires extra effort.
