2:24 70mm Hasselblad 500 to be specific, unsure what brand of film stock they used, iirc Kodak... Also the Blue marble's oritations is altered, south pole on top and arabia on bottom. I've made color images from filtered three exposure b&w film and I some how in post mucked up the order and somehow got psuedo aerochrome ir type images...
IIRC, the Hasselblad Data Cameras (basically the ones used in the Command Module, not the ones used on the Lunar surface) used film stock Hasselblad contracted with Agfa to produce, so the Blue Marble photo might have been taken on that. The lunar surface cameras that the astronauts wore mounted to their suits used Kodak stock. All 70mm.
I always thought it's because the cameras are different, and the image was altered. They also made Pluto look a lot more colorful than it actually is, so that the geography of Pluto is more visible. Yeah, that picture of Pluto where there's some red on it next to its heart? Guess what, it was altered for the convenience of astronomers. The real color is more brown and less bright.
Its the very same process as taking images in space. Different filters capture different wavelengths which show different gases, and you can combine what ever why you want to get a false colour image.
as Ham radio for 48 years using diff frequenties, i stil not understand that SHF above 10 GHz signals bounce while that is not possible because they move in straight line. Netherlands land is below sea level, stil i able to use 10/24 GHz and contact over 200-400+ km use dish in straight line....... funny isnt it.
The Earth is displayed upside down. The South Pole should be at the top. Regarding the solar system from the southern ecliptic is the correct view. No wonder world affairs are so topsy-turvy if everyone keeps seeing the planet upside down!

Another amazing video. I've been absolutely loving all the weather satellite videos
Never really noticed before how amazing our planet looks
Great video and very good explanations! I'm glad I found your channel after following you on twitter for so long.

Question, that i dont think about, but answer was interesting.
Great explanation! 🙂 👍
Yes mate, the deeper the dive into satellites the better 👍
please keep up the interesting videos, and try to ignore the flat earth nut jobs.

There is no upside down earth. It just depends how you are looking at it. Your Einstein quotes do not make you a smart person...
