- Today we're assembling and testing out the brand new super-huge trailer hitch cargo rack from Mockins. This very large cargo platform can fold when not in use, and comes bundled with all sorts of accessories. I've also got the optional enormous waterproof storage bag that I'll also be trying out.

Thank you so much for this video. I struggled for 30 minutes trying to figure out how the plates went so the cargo create could stand up and didn’t have any luck, so I got on RUclips and found you. Awesome job on describing the assembly.
Glad it helped! I was definitely stumped by that part, until I talked to the guy at the company.
You always provide very thorough reviews, Great Lakes, and that's much appreciated!
I did get the Haul-Master 750 lbs folding carrier myself. I use a slightly heavier anti-rattling device. The biggest modification I did to it though was I mounted the reflectors that came with it inboard slightly and added mini taillights on the back of it. Just a few bucks for the lights and a 4 pin trailer wiring harness and now I don't worry at all about having my truck taillights partially obstructed when I have a large bulky load.
Excellent review! Thank you so much!!! Definitely thorough!
Your video helped me. They really should have sent it with a picture of that rendering lol
Just installed one for my vacation tomorrow. Your video helped me because the directions that came with it weren’t very detailed. Great job and thanks for
Thanks Jon, glad the video helped
How’d it do on your trip? I’m considering purchasing this for my jeep.
@@Billy-qm3dm It did fine. But definitely use the hitch clamp thingie so it can't bounce around.
Great review!
Thanks!
your video was the ONLY video that addressed the problem I have with a Kairay carrier (very similar) as the attachment is not making sense. Now I see what it's supposed to do so I'll assume the printed picture might be incorrect and fiddle with it until it does what it's designed to do. Thought I'd subscribe and see what else you do.
Thanks Sandra, I'm glad my video helped clear it up
What about the exhaust pipe being at the same level as the rack? Can it be raised?
Awesome hitch carrier.. just noticed your license plate is down pretty low too to have it blocked by the carrier. Do you plan on fastening your plate to the back of the carrier or taking the chance? Thanks!
So far I've gone the "take the chance" path, with this carrier as well as the others I've owned. I guess it's possible that a bored officer might have an issue with it, but I see these types of carriers on other vehicles constantly, and all of them seem to partially obstruct the plate. Not that "well everybody else is doing it!" is a valid legal defense, but if I'm strictly playing the odds, I guess it doesn't seem too risky.
I'd like to get this but i only have a 4 door 2016 Kia Optima with a hitch. Would it be ok with one of those?
As long as you have a standard 2-inch hitch, it will work. But on a Kia Optima, it may very well be a smaller hitch receiver.
Hi - where did you get the anti rattle thing?
This one came with the cargo carrier, but you can get them all sorts of places. Here's one for about $9

Great review. This is on my top three cargo carrier list to put on my fifth wheel to carry my generator and dog fence. Do you happen to know the weight?
Would you carry a ebike on one
If it weighs less than 500 lbs, then sure.
Which part is designed to fail first? Is there a sacrificial consumable part meant to take the wear and tear to prevent damage to the main assembly?
I never trust " water proof bag"
