hahaha this is awesome, loved the mark hoppus impression - i'll admit i was hoping for an enema of the state type vibe (maybe another video hmm??), this was something closer to california/NINE i think? but still awesome and the production was right on the money too, john feldman would be proud :-))
A good tip for bass, not a bassist but trust me this does work, mix in a lightly distorted tone with very little treble and then a DI ontop. That way you get a nice thick bass tone that still has the clarity and plucking sound ontop.
Dude, this was so good and simplistic teaching! I love that you didn't go into detail about how to play and just kept it about how to put it all together.
Brilliant! Can't disagree that it sounds like the Skiba era but there's nothing wrong with that. Some great songs and different ideas on Cali and Nine. Great vocal and production on this song too, as well as a really well made tutorial video. Awesome job man 👍
Thankyou for this! i needed it for research. i do think, however, that most b182 songs start with bass or the lead riff and then they wait for Travis to come in and give the cue to start singing.
Are you sure you didn't write Bored to Death? Maybe it just sounds similar to me right now. Either way, nice job, I never realized how many arpeggios they play on the new albums.
Your the bomb what a great piece was pro you have such good posture while singing you work with the microphone in a fabulous way I wish I was in a band with you
I used to be in The Words We Use! Maybe one day I’ll go back to playing in a band but for now it’s all about creating content and inspiring others! -Miami
Pretty good, but this is obviously oriented on the most non-blink-like era of Blink-182. When I think of Blink, I think more like Enema or Pants and Jacket, since those are the prime albums when Tom was on board and energetic about it.
l laughed pretty hard at this because California had the least variation in riffs of probably any blink album, but I don't fault you at all for using that as a springboard. The final song was solid, though.
Everything sounds a lot like blink, nailed the verse with the mark hoppus style but the chorus doesn’t sound like blink at all, it kinda reminds me of bands like all time low or neck deep, but not blink
Great video. It's incredible that you play these instruments upside down. 😮
I wasn't expecting your vocals to sound so perfect lol
Not metal but still hits hard, I would love this as a series. Props to a lefty playing upside down too, like damn.
Unsurprisingly, this was actually better than anything on California or Nine.
New era blink pretty much runs that riff formula unflaggingly, but there was a time they weren’t so afraid to experiment
Congrats you wrote a Skiba-era blink song
Worst era
Skiba isnt that bad he just isnt as good as tom was
@@weerez8786 exactly
Lmao
@@weerez8786 he’s just not blink 182.
Vocals on point!

5:15 you kinda sound like ronnie radke which is awesome hahaha
The clean tone is lush. Love from a fellow lefty!
This just inspired me to play my bass parts more like that, really helps, thank you!
Mad that I go looking for inspiration to aim for a bit of a Blink vibe for new material and this video goes up today. Nice!

Nice, JST makes it sound so good right away
Whoa your vocals man theyre almost perfect
Almost! Maybe one day🤣

This is killer! Took a lot from this. Keep up the good work!
This is absolutely spot on. Maybe add some 'na na na' vocal melody parts! The Superior drums sound eerie like TB too. Great video man, great song too!
This definitely should be shared with fans on Reddit
Miami!!! ♥️♥️

Nice! I love the song! You should market it!
Maybe I’ll finish it and put it up on Spotify!
-Miami
The way you play bass is so cool!
spot-on

the vocals came so unexpected, holy shit
Well done Miami!
this is really cool
Great job bro

Man, this is sick!
You vocals sound like Ronnie Radke :)
Exactly what I said
Omg you are so right
At 1:59 I started singing "Sunday Blooooody Sundaaaaaaaaaaaay" but in a Tom Delonge voice.
Your the bomb what a great piece was pro you have such good posture while singing you work with the microphone in a fabulous way I wish I was in a band with you
dudeee, you are fucking awesome
Thanks so much dude! Glad you enjoyed it

Very surprised by the vocals. I liked it a lot
Appreciate you dude

No tom impersonation. 0/10
Jk lol😅 good shit my dude!!
In the best way possible I get hard-core The Wonder Years vibes from the chorus
haha, this was rad. Vocals def killed the sound too
8:08 as a fellow lefty, been there pal 😅 song sounds sick btw😊
This song is sick
Play the guitar upside down all you want it seems works!
Dudeee its great
Damn the vocals fuckin killed it - more punk goes pop but amazing
JST, hook my man up with a real lefty guitar and bass please!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
fire
Dude are you in a band? Because i totally want to hear it.your voice is fucking awesome.
I used to be in The Words We Use! Maybe one day I’ll go back to playing in a band but for now it’s all about creating content and inspiring others!

Hey Miami! Nice song 😁 Which Hellraiser preset was the bass tone based on? Or would you mind sharing the tone with us? 🙌🏼
BlinkCore 🤘😈🤘
pop punk for sure
With the flang ✌🏻
I personally like the song but the intro reminds me more of like 80s gothic post punk rather than blink 182 or pop punk
Niceee 🔥🔥🤌🏽
I knew I liked you.
6:31 is when song starts

Awesome song. Do you think you could tell me the chords or give me a midi file. I want to play this for fun.
I’m going to do this because people keep requesting it lol
Really cool video. I think your chorus vocal, both in melody line and tone, sounds more like Ronnie Radke than Blink.
Definitely sounds darker than Blink imo but it sounds sick !
What DAW do you use my friend?
i had 182 years to hear the name blink 182
Where did you buy the Mark Hoppus voice pack?
Nice man song though jokes aside!
Everything sounds a lot like blink, nailed the verse with the mark hoppus style but the chorus doesn’t sound like blink at all, it kinda reminds me of bands like all time low or neck deep, but not blink
It turns into posthardcore song haha, nicee man ure so talented
do Sum 41, early era. Please
Can you upload the presets for these tones?
Cutos to him being able to play a right handed bass and guitar upside down as a lefty
Buster?
i know your a lefty but i’ve never seen someone play a right handed with the strings the wrong way, i bet it’s annoying playing off tabs
Lol yeah, but you get used to it after a while🤣
-Miami
@@joeymusic But how do you play chuggy downstrokes like that?
Kurt Cobain
Why is that bass upside down? xD
he picked the songs that actually AREN’T blink, but that cover band that featured Mark, Travis and Skiba
This sounds a bit like the "florida pop punk" style
Didn’t ask for it but! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Great video but u lost me at 3:05 😂
Yo I know this is 2 years old but you sound like Ronnie Radke from falling in reverse 🔥 lol
hahaha that song was hilarious and catchy
Glad you liked it dude! Just dropped a hot to bring me the horizon one that’s a lot of fun too
-Miami
Flip the video 180 degrees and the guitar is correct
You sound just like ronnie radke
holy fuck
Sounds like Ronnie Radkee in a good way
Your voice kinda sounded like ronnie radke
It’s sounds better ‘please don’t forget me’
The way he holds the guitar hurts me and satisfy me at the same time... Weird
You sound like Ronnie from Falling in Reverse more so than Blink.
No man, u need to wrote songs like all the small things or other songs when Tom DeLonge were in a band. I don’t think so that is blink type song
Tom was still in the band when writing songs like this though! The writing structure hasn’t really changed much since then
-Miami
New blink sucks especially on California Matt rewrites toms riffs and just creates a new picking pattern
Yeah that’s not blink 182 . Try again with real blink 182 material
Oh… you.. you meant a new… a new… 🤢 🤮
Time to unsubscribe I guess.. sorry
Thanks for being here while you were!
@@joeymusic Just kidding, love your stuff. Just Blink I can't take. Keep it up. Very instructional always.
