Ha! I was left with those two and here you are: comparing both. Perfect!

I am not a fan of packs and prefer a belt. I like the idea of combining both. Boom! I get so.much chafing on my back from hydration packs. Good deal. Thank you 😊

      Happy it helps!!
It’s a really good combo that I still use on very long runs and races!

Nice one. I definitely prefer a belt to a vest/pack where possible, and use a Naked belt with a Salomon soft bottle. Stored at the back it doesn’t bounce TOO much. But the UD belt looks nice, might check that out. 🤙🏻

I definitely will pick up the Naked belt soon as well, heard a lot of good things about it!
      Happy running!

Hi and thanks for the review. I didn't know you could wear the compressport under your shirt, direct contact with the skin. Is it how you use it ? I would prefer to wear it under my t shirt rather than on it as other reviewers tend to show. Thx

How is drinking while running with the ud belt? Is it annoying to retrieve and stow the bottles? I sometimes tie a knot with the ends of my tshirt through the compressport pole carrying loops to reduce bounce. Hard to explain but basically bunching up the bottom of your tshirt , threading it into the belt loop (same on other side) then tying both bunched up tshirt 'ropes' thats been threaded through into a deadknot... thereby forming a kangaroo pouch with the t-shirt to support the bottom weight of the belt and hence the water bottles... also prevent sliding. Had to do this as my compressport belt has lost some elasticity and became more bouncier and loose over time. Works well so far.

      interesing stuff..
I personally prefer taking some time to retrieve and store the bottles rather than having bouncing..
with the UD belt, I think it is pretty well done and I can retrieve and store them while jogging, there is a little elastic band you can loosen to get the bottles out very eaisly, and same for storage.

Is it possible to get a running jacket in the Ultimate Direction? I have the UD Mountain belt and love that I can put a jacket in the pocket but it only holds a single bottle.

I like the fact that you can store away an extra layer/jacket in compresssport belt, I live in Ireland where the weather can change ridiculously quickly. Good video

How did the sizing work for you with the Compressport?

      I am between S and M
I have the m but it’s a bit too wide for carrying heave objects like a water bottle or even a phone
So I just use it to carry a windbreaker and like a survival blanket

Did you try the Naked belt? I have it and its really nice. It stood out in a lot of subreddits or reviews and for sure the water flasks do not move as much as the compressport apparently. Just 1 bit disappointed as I picked at least a size too small so a bit tight and not really pleasant at long term. I can put 2x500ml inside and some gels

I'm all for belts, but I think if you have to carry so much stuff, you are better off with a backpack!

    • @wildrapha
      @wildrapha  2 года назад +1

Hi Pablo. Yes agreed, it depends on how much you have to carry. I ran a few ultras here in Portugal only using belts, and it worked really well (also because not much extra stuff was mandatory to carry).
Often I find that there are so many aid stations along the way, and we don't really need to pack too much nutrition and hydration. But fair enough, thanks for the comment 🙌
