The Marvel Studios logo you saw at the beginning of this film is a special tribute for the late Chadwick Boseman. They made it for the Disney Plus release after his passing.
@39:38 that’s actually a line T’Challa said for this scene in a couple of trailers but it didn’t make the final cut. He said, “let’s show them what we got.”

M'Baku is lowkey amazing character: When he challenges a person, whom he doesn't think is suitable for throne, gets beaten, he holds no grudge. He accept his defeat and T'challa was better. When he was offered a powers of Black Panther, he didn't took that. That man turly embodies living by code of honor.

it's also as the border tribe if Wakanda is attacked his people are the first to suffer so out of all the tribes i imagine his has Wakanda's interests at their core the most since if Wakanda falls his tribe will be the first casualty of war so it makes sense he accepts a king who beat him in fair combat but not one who acts without honour disrespects tradition and is driven by bitterness.

Most people assume the narration at the start is T'Chaka telling the story of Wakanda to a young T'Challa, but it's actually T'Chaka's brother N'Jobu telling the story to a young Killmonger. When we first see N'Jobu, it looks like he's planning something. What he's actually planning to do is break out Killmonger's mother, who is locked up in prison. Since N'Jobu was killed, that break-out never happened, and Killonger's mother died in prison, leaving him alone.
Also, N'Jobu's actions affected several movies. The vibranium he helped Klaue steal was later used by Ultron to turn the Sokovian city into a meteorite in "Age of Ultron". This led to the Sokovia Accords in "Civil War", which split up the Avengers, and also, because Zemo's family was killed in this incident, it led to him bombing the UN facility in Vienna, which killed King T'Chaka and led to T'Challa becoming the new king.

I love when a "bad guy" is revealed to truly have honor and respect. M'Baku is played as a villain but it's later revealed he only did what was best for his tribe. His tribe is isolated from the rest of Wakanda as they worship the gorilla instead of the panther. His only real connection is his right to challenge for the throne. When he lost, he respected that T'Challa gave him the chance to surrender so he could be there for his people. He in turn repaid that debt by saving T'Challa's life and refusing the Black Panther powers. His honor then kicked in when he and his tribe joined the battle for their country. T'Challa repays this debt by allowing the Jabari to rejoin Wakandan society and giving M'Baku a place on the council, presumably replacing W'kabi as T'Challa's new right hand man.

M'Baku in the Marvel comic books was known as Man-Ape. A Black Panther villain. He wore a white albino pelt of an ape he had killed. But that name would be very offensive to modern audiences. So the gorilla mask and totem were a nod to his original identity. 😅

After the events of Civil War, Cap took Bucky to Wakanda and he was frozen again until they could find a way to de-program all the Hydra stuff in his head. I can't remember if you missed that post-credits scene or if it just slipped your memory, to be fair there is a ton of stuff to remember. In any case, Shuri has worked out a way to do that and is slowly rehabilitating him. Bucky's life has been pretty tragic so it's nice to see him seemingly at peace here.

In the prelude comic tied to the events of this movie, it’s revealed that T’Challa had already been Black Panther since around the same time that Tony Stark became Iron Man.
T’Chaka continued to be king but had retired the mantle of Black Panther and passed it on to his son who was still the crown prince of Wakanda at the time.
Young T’Chaka in the Oakland 1992 flashback was portrayed by John Kani’s real life son Atandwa.
Griot, the Wakandan A.I., was voiced by South African comedian Trevor Noah.
When Killmonger is in his own suit, his codename is the Golden Jaguar.
The Busan sequence took about ten days to film. In future films, I would love for them to go to Gwangju and Daegu.
(Busan is home to BTS member Jimin. J-Hope is from Gwangju, and Suga and V are from Daegu. Tomorrow x Together member Beomgyu also hails from there.)
Finally, while we all mourn Chadwick Boseman, I would also like to acknowledge the late Dorothy Steel. She portrayed the Merchant Tribe Elder.
She passed away in October 2021, but she was able to reprise her role in the sequel Wakanda Forever which would be her final film released posthumously. Miss Dorothy was 95.

Killmonger is also a character I don't like, but have found it fitting that I don't like him because the best villains are the ones you don't like. "Some of this music reminds me of The Mandalorian."
That's because Ludwig Göransson, the composer for this movie, went one to compose the score for seasons 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian as well as compose the main theme for The Book Of Boba Fett.

The Secretariat Building and General Assembly here in New York are the global HQ of the United Nations, but there are UN facilities all over the world for various subdivisions of the UN. The "main" ones are the primary HQ here, and the secondary HQs in Geneva, Nairobi, and Vienna. It probably would have made more sense for T'Challa to address the full UN General Assembly in NYC, or at the UNON in Nairobi, since Wakanda is supposed to be very close to Kenya, but I think they went with UNOV because, A, the Vienna International Center looks amazing from the air for an establishing shot, and B, UNOV was where T'Chaka died, so, it made for a nice capstone to that father-and-son passing of the torch.

This movie holds a special place in my heart. Before it came out, I had a dream similar to T'Challa going to the ancestral plane. I was walking in a park and I saw my grandfather walking down on steps from the Heaven. We embraced while I was telling him how sorry I was for not being there to say goodbye. He simply smiled and told me that it doesn't matter and he'll always love and watch over me. I watched him walk back to heaven before I woke up crying. The Ancestral Plane scene always makes me cry because of this. Black Panther has been brought to shows and games before, but Chadwick is the one who brought the character to life. To hear that he has passed was a shocker. Chadwick will still be getting his star in the walk of fame and it's well deserved. RIP to my grandfather, to Chadwick, and of course another legend...Stan Lee. Wakanda Forever!

M'Baka's issue with Shuri leading the research into vibranium is not that he thinks she's incompetent or incapable of applying the technology effectively. Quite the opposite. M'Baka hates technology and thinks it destroys the spirit of Wakandans, and he sees Shuri as an insane technocrati who is so in love with novelty and the things she can create that she has lost all connection with tradition and her people. And he's not wrong, Shuri is the least Wakandan of the Wakandans, with her frequent use of foreign slang, pop culture references, etc.
Also, I am about to completely ruin this movie for you: Kilmonger and Klaue are working together before Klaue is caught by Black Panther. This means that Kilmonger intentionally allowed Black Panther to capture Klaue instead of just killing him and bringing him to Wakanda -- which would have accomplished the *exact same objective* without potentially handing T'Challa a victory that would secure his rule. Furthermore, if T'Challa had just explained how he lost Klaue to W'Kabi, then W'Kabi would have recognize Kilmonger for his treachery right away. Everyone talks about how great Kilmonger is as a villain, but his plan it actually incredibly stupid, arrogant and nonsensical, and he deliberately engineers multiple fail points into it.
Also, hilariously, in this ultra-wok, super-progressive movie that all the lefties fell over themselves cheering, the CIA (Ross is CIA) illegally engages in military action in a foreign country to help overthrow the legitimate government and install a government more favorable to US interests and that is presented as heroic, just and good. This is why inserting politics into movies is almost always asinine and stupid.
Edit: Also, the "Bury me in the ocean" line makes absolutely no sense, since no Wakandan was ever made into a slave and the people Kilmonger is calling his ancestors have no relation to him other than coming from the opposite side of the same continent.

Oh yeah. Ulysseus Klaus (I think it's spelled. Pronounced Claw), the guy with the metal arm played by Andy Serkis, was in Age of Ultron. Ultron approaches him about Vibranium to upgrade his metal body. Ulysseus offended Ultron by saying "you sound just like him (Tony)", and Ultron ripped off his arm. That's why Klaus has a robotic arm.
Agent Ross, was in Civil War. He was the guy who imprisoned Zemo at the very end and asked him "how does it feel for all your plans to miraculously fail?" (Or something close to that) to which Zemo replies "did it?"
