Had the same issue with the Xbox Game Bar, taking focus from rocket league after couple minutes of playing.
To fix it, launch Xbox game bar, Go to settings (gear near top of screen), click "Edit more preferences in Windows settings", toggle the first switch to Off.

I get that controller "dc" where the mouse cursor shows on screen within the first 5-10 minutes of starting the game up. everytime... It's since last update i think.?.

@@Fred-di9qd I have just stopped q'ing immediately for now. Freeplay until it hits, and then it wont happen again. But same for me, it's nice to know its not my pc thats the problem ;)
Yeah I'm getting the same thing in the first few minutes of starting the game (Never in free play when I warm up, of course). My controller will DC, then when I reconnect it doesn't register. RL will close out and I have to reopen. So annoying

Sounds like RL bugs. My game bar started popping up on me in the beginning of sessions as well. Also the mouse cursor popping up and disconnecting the controller started for me too recently.
I thought my Controller just broke...but to be honest windows is more likely to break😂

Yo the mouse cursor popping up and the xbox game bar are both super consistent issues for me lately... No idea what the issue is. But I use a PS5 controller as well, maybe it has something to do with that

Definitely would love to watch longer videos. The 2-3 games per video thing that most RL RUclipsrs do (That I watch, anyways) is nice for a short quick break and a video, but longer ones are my favorite for sure.
I keep getting that windows bar game app glitch too!! It's so annoying when you're in the middle of a game and it pops up. I don't even use an xbox controller
You can turn off the overlay in windows settings.

At 2:05, I thought I was the only one with that bug! Really annoying, it's like it alt tabs itself, so I have to click RL. I also get the game bar to pop up randomly. Luckily it only seems to happen once, a bit after I first start playing the game
And yess the xbox game bar pops up for me too, and sometimes the game just stops taking inputs from the control so I have to tab Out and tab IN to regain control again.
Garrett, try typing in "game mode settings" to your computer's search bar then go to "xbox game bar" and you can turn that off.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I've also started encountering that bug where the controls stop working. I have to click on the RL window to reactivate it as the primary. One time I did have the Xbox overlay pop up as well.
For the Xbox gamebar randomly popping up there’s a default setting in your computer that makes it so whenever you hit the ps button/Xbox home button it pops up

I have that same issue with the Xbox game bar popping up for no reason too. Fortunately, that only happens rarely but it does take a second or two away from the gameplay.

i think the bakkas mod causes that xboxbar to pop up because it only happens in rocket league and if you have bakkas mod running though it only makes the xbox bar pop up within a couple minutes of playing and doesnt pop up afterwards
I been having the Xbox game app and mouse cursor bug as well. Gota play like 15 mins of free play before matching after booting to make sure it doesn't happen in game

Yo that thing happens to me at least once a day where my controller disconnects, my mouse pops up on the screen and I have to click my mouse once then move my controller before my controller actually regains control. It's unpredictable when it happens so it's really distracting

I've been having the exact same problem with my controller disconnecting and sometimes the xbox gaming bar shows up too (i do have an xbox controller but it comes up with a different type of overlay than usual). It's definitely a bug.

Do the streams, leave the vods up, and record while you stream so ur editor can make a highlight video of the stream. I think this would be best if your editor has the time if not the just don't record it and only stream but leave the vods up (that was long and confuzzling srry)

My game has been doing the same thing!!! Controller disconnects and cursor pops up. All you have to do is click the mouse once and it fixes it. Game bar has also been popping up randomly. I’m assuming something is opening in the background and taking priority over rocket league which causes the game to run in the “background” but I haven’t been able to figure out what it is yet. Please update us if you are notified of a fix!!
