I remember this craze. It was in middle school at the time. Seems like most kids in my class had either a Tamagotchi, a Giga Pet, or one of the similar generic versions.

I remember these were very popular in my 2nd and 3rd grade school years, along with Giga Pets. Almost every kid had to have one. They were quite annoying in class, and they would get taken up quite often. Those were the days lol
