John, May I add a couple of other perspectives. Some people have no projects and just sit around bored and unhappy all the time. Maybe better to have too many projects and just be frustrated at not being able to do as much as you'd like on some of them. Then, you have your health. You can look forward to being able to go after projects next year. For some, the realization sets in that health issues are never going to allow doing the projects that you want to do. There may not be a next year. Your glass, my friend, is half full. BTW, no such thing as too many tools.

It's better to do something rather than sit around at home, which is why I divide my time between house and caravan, the vintage Airstream which took over a decade to source and bring together its awning, but also a little tech besides. Likewise I see you chilling back doing the things you need to do, outside of your workshop. These tasks even if they don't go as we'd planned, bring a fresh aspect that could make us do something a lot different, only with more satisfying results. I have always appreciated your filming, and agree that auto-focus is an utter pain. 😉
Our autumn-to-winter days become shorter. But that's alright. We plan around our ever-darkening evenings to light the fire earlier, get a brew on, prepare dinner and while it's stewing, sit back and watch the logs burn slowly in the grate. Hedge my boyfriend opens walnut shells wholly with an artful twist of his SAK's screwdriver - who would have thought it? 😄 So we raise our glasses to you and enjoy a a deep red Pinot Noir to embrace the chill. Have a lovely New Year. And a safe and healthy one, too. Peace and blessing to you and Janet, ~Wendi 🌻🌻🌻

The last saying of most of your videos apply very avidly to a myriad of us "hope you have to time to make it to your shop".
