    This is a fantastic and very informational Video. Whenever I infuse my oils with Lavender and or Helichrysum flowers, I use a pestle and mortar to pound them to release the oils and then I add my oil and then shake it daily for the next 7 weeks. I had no idea I could use a crockpot with warm water to cut down the time of when I can use the oil. Thank you so much for your wisdom and your skin looks great.

    I bought a bunch of grapeseed oil from Aldi, actually. Is the grapeseed oil from Aldi ok to use as a carrier oil? Do you know if grapeseed oil is good for oily, dry, or combo skin? Would you recommend grapeseed oil for this kind of project?

    • @shafranherbals
      @shafranherbals  Год назад +1

      just seeing this! yes, I use Aldi olive and coconut oil. not using grapeseed oil much. BUT olive oil is for normal skin, avocado for dry skin and safflower or sunflower for oily skin. I use infused oils in my custom-made face serums. I would suggest you get a 1 oz dropper bottle and mix your infused oil with a serum from marshalls w hyaluronic acid for a basic serum. you can also add vitamin E. keep your mason jar of infused oil in a cool dark place as you wont use all at once. also adding some rose essential oil ($$$) or lavender will help your skin and make your serum smell nice.❤

    Can we use it to make perfume??

    • @shafranherbals

      so to make perfume, you can take ESSENTIAL OILS and mix with alcohol usually. You could take an infused oil, add beeswax and after cooled, add some essential oil to makr a fragrant ointment.

    • @shafranherbals

      You wouldn't want infused oil for a candle. Infused oils don't give a smell in most cases. You need essential oils added to your melted wax for all-natural scent. :-)

      hmmmm. why not? just let sit for longer time? deoending on how hot it gets. you dont want infusion to boil!! i think that could be a smart idea. oh, you would need to carefully w hotpot holders shake it every two hours since no water bath around mason jar. did you try it yet? ❤

      I cover this in the video. Water in plant matter will make oil cloudy and will grow mold in your oil. For long-term preservation, let matter dry for a day or 2, then make your preparation.

    Hello from Québec!! I do have a little question. When you make your serum, your vitC, and hyaluronic acid, are they on powder form? How long is self life with thé vitC? Nice infuse oil!!!❤️

    • @shafranherbals
      @shafranherbals  3 года назад +2

      No, Vit C and E are in liquid/oil form. Hyaluronic acid is in gel form, I buy from England. They use on gums there. :-) vitamin E is a preservative. But i sell in 1 oz bottles that last max 3 months, so my products are made fresh and made to be used quickly.

    Is this the same process with rosemary? I've seen people boil water and do it over the stove after turning the burner off. Would that work properly? I've wanting to make some oils for my hair and nails.

    • @shafranherbals
      @shafranherbals  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, use fresh rosemary in a smaller jar to get a good concentration. You could add rosemary essential oil (I recommend Aura Cacia brand, not paid endorser, but bc I like them!). To make a shampoi, take your oil and add 1/4 rosemary oil, one half castille soap and 1/4 water. Or you could let oil set on your scalp with a towel on. Also for hair oil, I would use fresh rosemary AND fresh peppermint to stimulate the scalp. Thanks for comment. :-)
