The instrument is not a mandolin but a panduri. It is a traditional Georgian 3 stringed instrument. Mandolins are 8 stringed instruments tuned like a violin. If you look up panduri on RUclips you will see a bunch of videos about them. These young ladies are awesome for sure.
Little correction: Panduri is not a traditional Georgian instrument, it's Greek(Pandoura). Chonguri is the one you mean. It is indeed a traditional Georgian instrument! Hope it clears up all the confusion :)
