@zura8879 the crates have higher chance for weapons but only 3 weapons spawn in map so if all 3 the weapons spawn in map on shelf the crates will not have a weapon and if none spawn out of crates most crates will have weapon but in match only 1 of each weapon on map at a time
It wouldn't be so bad if they just made it so the crates always had guns. Then had melee weapons around the map. Instead the crates feel very bugged, literally nothing 99% of the time.
Crates should be in very open and obvious locations where people can see them and melee weapons should remain scattered all over the place. That way if you want a gun you have to risk other people seeing you get one and getting attacked in the back while doing so. But at least they'd be a 100% spawn rate. Feel like that fixes the balance issue the devs are so worried about.
but as chilled says at 17:00 before people ran to get guns then went on to do their tasks. no people just camp the gun spawns the whole game and don't do tasks and knives are already op making it so that knives are essentially the only weapon, the people with knives will just camp the weapon crates to make sure they're the only people with guns the whole system just isn't well thought out
51:50 I just looked up the game's store page on steam and maybe it was already in the works, but the devs released multiple paid DLCs that add more cosmetic options for the space suits about a week after Chilled and friends streamed this session. While the cosmetics look great, it seems a little tone deaf and the devs probably should've delayed that DLC release until they worked out the weapons situation a little. That being said, I do appreciate their most recent post on the 21st, and am hopeful they get the game going in the right direction.
I thought chilled was joking at the beginning, but with each ":/" i felt myself getting more filled with rage alongside him. It's a shame that this update is so bad.
They've revised the chest system now. about half of them are dormant, and of the 3-4 chests you can actually open, the odds of finding a gun are much better, with ammo guaranteed
What are the current weapon odds, if you dont mind me asking? Tbh the chest system just seems not very good, compared to how it was before, if its like every chest has a weapon with like 35-40% chance of gun, that would be nice at least
I don’t play the game but from the videos I’ve seen there’s literally no reason to come up with this bizarre system compared to how it was before. It should at least be an optional setting to change how it worked if people didn’t like how quickly the rounds went. But this is essentially among us: short rounds where the only real point is to do tasks or take down the enemy team. There’s no place for a convoluted puzzle system gatekeeping weapons where you may or may not even get something for doing it. At the very least make it guaranteed to be a weapon of some sort on opening.

The game was just fine as it was, balance-wise at least. People aren't gonna take a game like this seriously, and the devs should have honed in on that. More maps, weapon variety, and a slew of new unique tasks were exactly what people wanted, as well as a simple card after each match telling you who was bad. Instead, they're treating this like a hyper-competitive experience, which I feel doesn't work with the quick round cycle. Deceit, Dread Hunger, and Town of Salem matches can go on a while, so it makes sense to balance those out. On top of all of these balancing changes that take away a lot of the fun, they've also decided now is the perfect time to implement skins, but in the worst way possible. You want to look feminine? That'll be the full price of the game when it's not on sale. You want Christmas themed clothing or a slightly off color version of the current suits? $5 each. @@saliosnoctin7797 they'll just sprint to the weapons crates throughout the game now. which is much worse than a one min free for all rush at the start and then people actually playing the game
Honestly think they should go a step further and let the lobby host control weapon spawn rates and gun ammo rates. Game balance in a game like this is dependent on the players in your lobby. It's not something you can reasonably anticipate at a macro level.
I think the crates would've been a better idea if they were either guaranteed a weapon(though not guaranteed ammo in said gun) or were all unlocked on start but if failed locked up for the rest of the round
Nah, opening up a crate and finding an empty gun is just as much of a kick in the dick as finding no weapon at all. I know some of the guns have/had different firing power, so that could be an interesting way to roulette it instead. You get a weapon ranging from shotgun to knife with a varied number of bullets, but zero is sadistic after going through the trouble of finding a box, waiting for it to unlock so you can actually input number guesses, and then having to play number wordle. That much effort deserves a reward, even if it's a pistol with one bullet. You can at least laugh and shrug and curse the RNG gods jokingly at that, but zero bullets...there's already too many empty guns on the map as is.
This update upset Chilled so much that he clipped his review at the beginning and at the end of the video. Yikes. Yay to drop the ball, Mirage Creative Lab.
This 3d game should've had goo potions /pies or small round shields that blocked "some" bullets to piss people off. :) The hunt for bad people is always nice when the good people go insane.
they should make it so spawn rates can be adjusted in host settings, per item, maybe even a setting to start with a item so you can have a player start as like a sheriff
Heres a comment i left on your first video of you guys playing this game. "The game could really use more settings. Being able to select how many weapons spawn would be great. But at minimum i think being able to select a min/max amount of ammo per gun would be great. That way it gets rid of the crappy 0 ammo spawning guns and can help balance the stronger/weaker guns by giving them either less or more ammo. Its way too heavily rng based and easily screws over either good or bads. Currently its a race off spawn for the weapons and whatever side lucks out and not only finds a weapon, but does their weapon spawn with ammo (that you can't get more of). Settings could help mitigate this a ton. or some way to acquire more ammo in game. Knife is definitely OP for dissidents though." Aint perfect changes, but aint bad for 4 months ago and just watching you guys play for 2-3 hrs. But after 4months, this is what the devs cooked up. Lmao. Such a shame.
Thankfully it seems they are listening and have definitely fixed a lot of the issues this change brought. I actually like the intention behind the change. Sometimes, it can get really old when one person always ends up with all the weapons. There needed to be some tiny level of structure to avoid RNG hell.
Or… you know, just give an option to set weapon spawn rate instead of empty weapons chests that makes everyone ignore all tasks trying and failing to get a weapon.
REALLY hoping this game makes it. It's been a blast to play and to watch, and I adore the art style of it as well. Thankfully, despite a _COLLOSSAL_ balls-up with the crates, they seem to have taken the lesson to heart and took it a step back (although I don't understand why it wasn't a toggleable/configurable setting from the off). From what I've seen over the last few posts, it does seem like the devs are listening, so here's hoping they pull through.
What if you could take the empty weapon cases to the weapon room and put it into a machine, and the machine would put a weapon into the crate. Then either you can just grab the weapon out of the crate outright without hassle, or maybe you need a tool to open the crate.
1. Add body armor. 2. The more tasks you do the better outcome of crates. So the more is complete the bad guys are at a disadvantage. 3. Don't nerf fun and chaos to a game too much. 4. Done
The crates should have guns everytime and should unlock with completong tasks. Balance the excess of guns by limiting ammo. Incentives doing tasks and add a bit of risk and reward for imposters doing tasks.
I feel: Every box should have a fully loaded weapon. Normal spawns should have between 1-6 revolver rounds or 4-12 pistol rounds. Revolvers should 1-shot if it's a headshot or 3-shot if it's a body shot. Pistols should 4-shot if it's a headshot or 8-shot if it's a body shot. All imposters should spawn with either a knife or a 4-shot pistol in a hidden third slot that can be switched to via a second button. Crew should start with 2 random people having either a knife or 4-shot pistol (So 1 imposter and 1 crew would have a knife, and 1 imposter alongside 1 crew would have a pistol). The new room should allow you to restock your gun's ammo from a limited supply or, if every single crate on the map has been opened, a wall of assault rifles will be unlocked. And we could use a mechanic where the rooms spawn in different places except the central area. Plus, more rooms would be nice. A lot more rooms. Maybe a bedroom with themed weapons. Like one bed has mechanic stuff and you can find a giant wrench sometimes. Another has chef stuff and you get a block of chef's knives that can be thrown one after another until the last knife stays in your hand and you just chuck the knife block at them. Another has a flag with an eagle on it and you can sometimes find an early assault rifle with the word 'merica printed on the side of the gun. Most importantly... being able to heal faster passively while in the medical room (perhaps with the medical room having a limited 'supply' of faster healing) Or find healing items hidden throughout the medical room.

If this is true this game shouldn't be played anymore the Devs obviously cant take criticism or see that there game was massively flawed and they make it more broken than ever
@devilslighter2987 Didn't Goose Goose Duck do the same thing to somebody? People were playing it and then like everybody dumpstered it at once. Even Cartoonz and Delirious which had played it for like months straight with a lobby comparative to Chilled and Himecane's Among Us lobbies.
I hope that's not true if only for the fact that it would make me lose all respect for the developers. Chilled's criticism was completely valid. Whether the developers want to listen to his criticism or not is up to them, but banning someone because they don't like their opinion suggests that they won't last as developers with skin that thin.
Hey Chilled, they changed the weapon spawn with update 0.3.0 (December 18) Now there's only 3 crates, one per weapon (I guess the knife doesn't count in that) and if there's an empty crate it's because the weapon spawned on the floor outside of the boxes. It's not perfect but it's better ahah
Yeah the art is unrealistic noting what's actually expected to be there, but at least it's funny. The art should change if a weapon is found in those cases.

They should add a “CHAOS” mode just for Chilled and it just increases weapon spawns by 200%
I had that exact same thought! Just weapons everywhere, lol
Honestly think they should go a step further and let the lobby host control weapon spawn rates and gun ammo rates. Game balance in a game like this is dependent on the players in your lobby. It's not something you can reasonably anticipate at a macro level.
the problem with that is 200% of 0 is still 0
Twice as many empty guns.
@@metalapplesus maybe they should divide the gun odds by zero? There's a black hole when you open a gun case 😂 I'm writing the devs now.
32:25 Chilled expecting a weapon
The crate: [/:] [:\]
This update upset Chilled so much that he clipped his review at the beginning and at the end of the video. Yikes. Yay to drop the ball, Mirage Creative Lab.
Heck yes!!
Instead of dinner with sir Chaos, it’s dessert with Sir Anthony!
I can't believe Chilled is using "food theory" to do tasks
I just went and gave chilled's steam comment another award on top of all the others ones it has. He deserved it for speaking the truth
Its a good thing the guns don't have ammo. This update would've seen people use it on themselves.
The inside of the crate is the youtube 'something went wrong' face.
Ever since the update the game isn't even fun to watch anymore. The wackiness is completely gone.
If i was with chilled on scanners i would probably lose it with the measurements regardless of being employee or dissident
... I have witnessed a broken man today... tragic
Idk what the developers were smoking when they did this update…
This game used to be so much fun to watch i hope they fix this or it'll get old FAST
Knife is definitely OP for dissidents though."
Aint perfect changes, but aint bad for 4 months ago and just watching you guys play for 2-3 hrs.
The thing I don't understand is did they do any testing when they updated?
I awarded your review 4800 steam points. I don’t play but I watch you and feel it too
39:08 this same glitch happened to me when I first played lockdown protocol, but it wasn't this update and that was like 5 or 6 months ago I believe.
Im actually kinda sad for chilled that the update was a bust.
I can see what the devs were doing but took some missteps. But hey. Early access.
44:38 telling someone they need a hobby, while playing a video game, is really funny to me.
1. Add body armor.
2. The more tasks you do the better outcome of crates. So the more is complete the bad guys are at a disadvantage.
3. Don't nerf fun and chaos to a game too much.
4. Done
TTT will never be topped
The crates should have guns everytime and should unlock with completong tasks. Balance the excess of guns by limiting ammo. Incentives doing tasks and add a bit of risk and reward for imposters doing tasks.
does it irk anybody else the number of times the weapon crates are compared to worldle instead of mastermind the actual game?
6 ally fails on screen and 9 chilled fails with 0 guns in crated on screen and 3 found with 0 ammo and 2 with one shot each
Thst was so dark but I loved it, "great. Just enough to kill me..." like GD CC WTF
Most importantly... being able to heal faster passively while in the medical room (perhaps with the medical room having a limited 'supply' of faster healing) Or find healing items hidden throughout the medical room.
i think they were banking too much on it being another among us clone that people wont notice it or trying to make it different and unique but it isnt and they just gave up, its not as fun as content warning or among us since it cant be modded
There is a split second around the 0:25 mark, where I think Tay? is in the background going "oh wow" but I swear I heard it from my bathroom.
if im not mistaken you got a game ban after this game play session from the devs.
Oh, that's going to RUIN them.
I hope that's not true if only for the fact that it would make me lose all respect for the developers. Chilled's criticism was completely valid. Whether the developers want to listen to his criticism or not is up to them, but banning someone because they don't like their opinion suggests that they won't last as developers with skin that thin.
Waiting for evidence of this, it's a huge claim
Hey Chilled, they changed the weapon spawn with update 0.3.0 (December 18) Now there's only 3 crates, one per weapon (I guess the knife doesn't count in that) and if there's an empty crate it's because the weapon spawned on the floor outside of the boxes. It's not perfect but it's better ahah
do those containers actually hold guns? what kind of gun fits in that face i dont think those containers ever hold guns
Yeah the art is unrealistic noting what's actually expected to be there, but at least it's funny.
The art should change if a weapon is found in those cases.
44:55 was great. That new update sure is something
did the devs sell the game to Ubisoft coz I bet thats whats happened
Dude doing scanner with you was pissing me off so bad 😂
well there is a new update keeping the boxes, less boxes, with shorter cooldown, but still empty
by the way, the devs have a reason for this update being so small: they coded the game poorly and have to redo it to add stuff
I live for lockdown protocol with chilled
30:30 You, and everyone with a brain, Chilled. LMAO
Watched this live, yeah that was rough
Yo this update did you dirty on all the crates lol haha had me crscking up
deja vu, am i crazy or have a watched this before? did he stream this on youtube?
Time for another episode of "fuckin with Platy"
Omg! I watched this through platy pov first and I had no clue yalll were lying about the update lol
Surprised they're not using beta streams to test changes with discord members or similar before pushing out wide as the new default...and make everything be host-options.
Unless something changed, there's only like 3 devs for this game, I doubt they have the resources.
@@Sybato Tbh they could ask content creators to test it. Like find two or three different groups that have differing playstyles and use them to test changes.
the bad guys now need to hide things in hope to waste time, even teeming up using fishes is gonna become the main tatticks
The thumbnail reminds me of Birthday Dethday by Dethklok
Open up your [Redacted] present. It's a box of [Redacted] nothing. RSVP Please. For the death of me.
I feel like one of devs was playing and keept get oneshot kiled of spawn
im suprised they even added a 10$ female skin
It's actually crazy they have a DLC that's just as expensive as the game.
@@Sybato on a game that is early access and doesnt even tell u who was the bad guys in the end of the game idk why they added these paid dlc and not something as simple as who won screen
Why don't just add another settings page where you can control spawns like: the number of guns available, the ammo range of spawned weapons, percentage chance of getting something from the crates, number of real crates, number of knives, stamina drain speed. Some simple quality of life updates would make a world of difference
Platy has never played Wordle before, and it shows 🤣
Has chilled gotten new teeth or something recently? I know he mentioned the dentist before i believe, but his teeth look noticeably better. Might just be me going crazy tho haha
Did they learn nothing from the games before them who nerfed everything and got dropped because of it?
Adding loot boxes sure is a way to ruin the gaming experience
Well, he has a point. The game is meant to be fun. What the hell do they care about balance?
Much better ways to make balance changes than what they did as well.
if they'd spent the time they made updating the only good level into making a new level with new tasks, this game would've been amazing.
instead they updated an already good level and made it worse
Comment for the ALGORITHM GODS
Had no idea what lox was until today. Thank u sir ❤
Those who don't know it is cured salmon
... now I want it😑😮💨
These have to be bugs right? Theres no way a developer thought yeah, I think these are good changes.
Man what is this horrid update?
Hopefully they fix the game, it's a shitty update without it being bugged in the worst way. What a fall off.
This video just makes me glad I didn't buy the game for me and my friend group.
44:54 LMAOOO
What's with replaying the video you have already posted?
That is so cursed. Would be even funnier if there were guns that slowly depleted their ammo without firing by the minute or every 30 seconds.
1:35 Junk be making me feel some sort of way 😳
They really did release this patch at the right time and so totally did not jump the gun, yep it would differently would not have been better to delay it a bit because everything that seems to be planned is in and clearly improved the game by a lot!
I am not using the fact that I am a tsundere to say the opposite at all and I clearly mean every word without any sarcasm best patch ever not released too early!
❤
🤍🖤💜❤️
I think the update was just bugged
Why are they calling mastermind "wordle"?
Is it just me or have I been seeing the same game vids from like weeks ago...did I time travel?
Have you been seeing the live streams on his other channel?
Are you subbed to both channels?
Ummm... Did Chilled ever consider opening up the case with a gun in his inventory? To me, those look like only ammo crates, so my thought is they would spawn only with a weapon within personal inventory of those opening it. Either way, sounds like they fixed it from other comments.
