I'm familiar with pegboard from way back when. My Grandma had a large sheet of pegboard in her kitchen, where she hung everything from utensils to smaller-size pans. She had traced around each item with a marker, (or paint?), so the outline showed where each piece should be returned when done using it. This was back in the 60's; and for all I know, it could have been even before that. (Grandma was, in many ways, a creative genius--ahead of her time?)! 😃
Very nice 🌼 I did similar but I found if I use a wooden chopstick on the front side you get a nice hole and it saves you a step instead of having to do back/front. There is a bit of an indent where the holes are after the paper is applied and once you get the top row done the others are quite easy to find... Thank you for sharing ♡
That was a nice idea with using contact paper on the pegboard itself, I spray painted my pegboard and plastic hooks gold and used gold marble contact paper (Walmart) on the tray and cup which came out very pretty if I may say so myself, lol.
Use command strips if you think you might want to move the peg board. The tape on the peg board tore the paper on my drywall. It's really sticks tight.
The paper? I was wondering about the wall. It does say not to put on painted walls so it had me concerned. May have to put it on some type of board. At pop shelf I saw a picture that would be a perfect size, on sale! Maybe that’s why I feel it spoke to me as I looked at it. 😂
hi I followed your method with the wallpaper , the trick I came up with is to take the pegboard with wallpaper against the window and poke the holes right in the front. the holes are very visible. :)

Yes! I knew someone would do this. I used the Dollar Tree floral print vinyl but only put holes where I put the accessories. I did the different sizes in a gallery wall style with 2 additional coordinating colors and I'm loving it! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve seen others spray paint their peg boards, but yours looks a lot sleeker because the holes you aren’t using kind of blend in and become less visible, if that makes sense lol. So as usual, I loved this idea and the piece itself. My DT has the accessories but not the main peg boards so I just have to wait until I find them. Happy DIYing!
I love it!! I have a little area where I was able to put up 4 of the long white peg boards. I put up my craft tools and 2 peg shelves where some glue and colored sprays are. The next set i put up I'm gonna try doing what you did in this video!! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thinks of design and functionality of the piece!! Thank you for the inspiration!!

I have gone to 5 dollar tree stores and everyone I approached and asked have no clue what I am talking about. I show them a pic of the peg board and still 🤷♀️. However they did have the peg board accessories. Everyone suggest I order it online. I don't need 24 peg boards lol. I will figure it. Thanks for your video
I have a large piece of pegboard in my crafting room. I use it to hang lots of different things, but I don’t have the accessories that DT has. I’ll have to get one, especially the shelf and hooks) to see if it aligns with my pegboard. I love the way you decorated yours. But I have a question. Are you left-handed? I ask because I don’t see how you are going to write on the chalkboard with the shelf located where it is. I would have put the chalkboard on the opposite wall (if one exists) so I could reach it with my right hand. Great job and thanks for sharing!!! ❤️

Yea, me too! Where they at ??? 24?? I saw a case of 48 on the tree website. Geez Louise. I've been to 3 dozen trees from Cincinnati, to Dayton, to Columbus. Found all of the accessories in black and white....except the cups....but none of the actual PEG board parts to hang it all on. I am less than 2 miles from the intersection of I-70 and I-75. How can this stuff be all over Indiana, Kentucky, and, apparently from other commenters, New York, but here in SW Ohio, I got bumpkis???? Sooooo frustrating!!😡😡😡

I spoke with one of them about all the ppl on youtube who do all these $tree videos, and then I come to the store and they dont have anything, and she was like, I "Really? There are?" ...I couldn't quite tell if she was being sarcastic or not. I guess I'm going to have to just keep circling around each week waiting for the right truck to come in. ARGH! Happy hunting!😃

The only items I found that are universal would be the metal pieces. I pulled the two ends out to match my Target peg board holes and they work great that way.
Hi ,so I planed on doing the exact same thing but I don’t trust dollar trees sticker system that comes with the peg board . I tested it for 3 days and didn’t put much on but a couple of nail polishes and the cup a hand mirror from dollar tree and the stand a perfume . I put 1 item in each and the 2 polishes ,the 3rd night a herd something had fallen when I looked it was the peg board !? What I feared had happened so now I have to use the command strips for a stronger hold or just find a way to put it on the wall without it falling especially if I want to add more items to it ,which will be more heavier,any suggestions as to put it on the wall other than command strips or a nail?

I think I would only poked holes in the areas that I wanted to put the accessories on. I love the idea of the wallpaper behind there though.

I bought the peel n stick to do that too! Was too cheap to buy spray paint lol plus I love the peel in stick prints dollar tree has.
