I'm a through and through Hamilton fan as well but Nico's mental attitude and EQ (emotional quotient) in that year truly was deserving of being a champion. He clearly stated time and again that he wasn't looking at the championship, he was just taking it a step at a time. He learnt to bite his tongue and not to complain as much as the previous couple of bitter years in their rivalry and tbh he was the better man overall. Lewis in turn was to be commended for his attitude in the first 5 races which truly were awful for his luck and that clearly paid off leading up to Spa. Singapore was a sore one for Lewis and having his engine set fire in the autumn was terrible luck as well but it is what you make of it all - random elements like that will always happen so congrats to Nico in the end. He clearly also made an effort to restore his relationship with British F1 fans as well and I can only respect and appreciate that so well done, a true champion to the end
Nico was expected to be a good number 2. to win when Lewis couldn't. But he didn't except that. He knew Lewis had a habit of starting season's slowly and so devised a plan to get maximum points early to fend of a late lewis charge. That is exactly what he did...and it worked! Full respect to Nico.

Not seen this before but brought back some good memories. Clear Hamilton felt a bit hard done by at times during the season, although nothing to what he was going to have to endure in 2021. Cant wait for that book...
I know Nico has valid personal reasons. But im not totally wrong if i say the immense pressure of driving alongside a very competitve lewis contributed to his early retirement
As much as this is amazing work by Floz, this actually wouldn’t come under ‘fair use’. Because the content isn’t transformative, nor drastically changed from the original and it’s not being reviewed or critiqued in any way. That’s like saying that me making a compilation of races from this season with only some graphics adding is ‘fair use’. That’s not what it is intended for and why it’s been copyright claimed from his channel. Honestly, I’m surprised all his content hasn’t been pulled. (As I said, I’m very much enjoying it. But that doesn’t make it ‘fair use’ as claimed).
I don't get why people use this season to take away Lewis' greatness by saying Nico beat him in equal missionary,Lewis did the same in 2014 Nico is a fantastic driver but using him to inflict your hate for Lewis is absolutely absurd and just goes to show how many people try by all means to take away the greatness Lewis has because of their bitter hate for the guy
Honestly speaking Lewis' car was unreliable. Like he said there are 8 Mercedes engines but only his broke down about 3 times. If it wasn't for that I'm pretty sure he could have won the championship.
Lewis has a two faced personality in the race track He shows he doesn't have any flaws, but most of the collisions involving him are mostly his fault. Like his brake check in baku with Vettel and his crash with nico in Austria and Spain. FIA is also biased towards him
Lewis contradicts himself all the time. He has a huge chip on his shoulder. Plus backing Nico into Vettel at the last race was about the lamest move ever. Desperate tactic. Glad Nico won. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Lewis fan after Nico left but some of his actions are pretty lame.
First of all, this Floz dude should be working in F1 producing their content because his videos are a thousand times better than the crap they make. Secondly, I’m a big Lewis fan but I can’t help but cheer for Nico to weather all the mind games and team favoritism to beat him. Nico was the man and I don’t blame him for retiring because he left on top and proved who was better plus the tension & stress of another year wasn’t worth it to him and his family.
The pre-race group interview setting during those times was so much worse than the newer current setting. Such a dour and lifeless atmosphere with interviewers who are infuriating to listen to trying to formulate a proper sentence.
i knew hamilton was unlucky this season, but I never realized the EXTENT to which he was unlucky. also his starts this year were atrocious, he wasn't kidding about turning his weaknesses into strengths because the years following his starts have become some of the best on the grid
No way as good as Hamilton in just one season of pure luck n Hamilton having alot of engine failure not even close to Hamilton talent check their karting history just stop the emotional make believe feelings just chemical flowing through your body
All my respect for Nico Rosberg, a German driver that developed a German team alongside Ross Brawn,Michael Schumacher and Niki Lauda and fought an opportunist driver that was better than him and kept his determination not to be a wingman. If Rosberg was constantly in 2014-2015 the way he was in 2016 i doubt Hamilton would have won so much … but his cowardness and selfishness showed up by having a wingman from 2017 up to 2021
Never realised how much lewis was hampered by reliability issues this season. Its a shame Nico's only victory was through such an unfortunate season for hamilton
I mean 2 bad starts made him run a lot in dirty air and we know now that merc have not build engines for racing they overheat easier then others bec they where anyways so dominat the front
Yeah that's true and besides I we would feel better if Max versteepnn had a teammate that's just as good as he is but who do you have that just as good as Max versteepnn other than Lewis Hamilton maybe.
Nico did win, but if not for Lewis having bad luck with engines and such, no hope. So, congrats Nico, but for me it is not a true 100% clinch. When Lewis had a car that worked, he dominated Nico every time.
As a Nico's fan I'm loving to see all the Hamilton fans in the comments being respectful sometimes I forget they are non toxic ones. But let's be honest 2016 was more that luck, Nico won because he thrown everything at it. Because ti be fair Nico is nowhere near as talented as Lewis but he was, in my opinion, better with the set ups and strategies, also the work outside the track was just massive. So yes 2016 is a probe of hardwork (and a bit of luck) above natural talent

@@wcads623 well if you go back to 2014 there were many engine failures, Lewis said that that was a problem in a press conference.
I doubt Mercedes would do that to Lewis, but I guess it is a slight possibility.
To be honest, I don't really think Rosberg deserved 2016 but nonetheless deserves a wdc
@@wcads623 "The number of Mercedes engine failures prior to 2016 was virtually zero" Well thats just not true, but hey quit spewing lies and pushing Lewis conspiracy theory :)
"It's my corner" was always Nico's defence, he said the same thing with Ricciardo at Hockenheim one year. It's you can dictate the line but he takes it too far and then doubled down on his view. Didn't do him any favours.
That is THE reason he retired. Didn't want to commit again to the insane effort it took to beat Lewis.
Greatest F1
Video ever made.
I don't get why people use this season to take away Lewis' greatness by saying Nico beat him in equal missionary,Lewis did the same in 2014
Nico is a fantastic driver but using him to inflict your hate for Lewis is absolutely absurd and just goes to show how many people try by all means to take away the greatness Lewis has because of their bitter hate for the guy
People are always gonna hate, let them. We have to appreciate all these great drivers
Honestly speaking Lewis' car was unreliable. Like he said there are 8 Mercedes engines but only his broke down about 3 times. If it wasn't for that I'm pretty sure he could have won the championship.
Rosberg badest Champ of modern Era
Amazing to see how hypocritical Hamilton is. Says he doesn’t look back, then has a go at nico saying how important it is to look back
its the mind games that both drivers played
Lewis has a two faced personality in the race track
He shows he doesn't have any flaws, but most of the collisions involving him are mostly his fault. Like his brake check in baku with Vettel and his crash with nico in Austria and Spain. FIA is also biased towards him
@@realribar4999 Spain is debatable but there's no way that you actually think that Austria was Hamilton's fault 😂
@@gerry2310Then Nico should have overtaken Lewis. Even if they both went out, its his championship.
Imagine 2014/15/16 in drive to survive 🫣
Media always against Nico but he got talent
A film will be made about this
First of all, this Floz dude should be working in F1 producing their content because his videos are a thousand times better than the crap they make.
Such a dour and lifeless atmosphere with interviewers who are infuriating to listen to trying to formulate a proper sentence.
is rosberg the youtuber, who did win against hamilton in an equal machine?great job!
i knew hamilton was unlucky this season, but I never realized the EXTENT to which he was unlucky.
also his starts this year were atrocious, he wasn't kidding about turning his weaknesses into strengths because the years following his starts have become some of the best on the grid
please make a movie about the season with hamilton vs alonso
2016 to me is the only year when the teams had equal cars for drivers no favoritism like now it’s getting lame
They changed it bcs of that year nico and hamilton were coming together every other race so they decided to get 1 firdt driver and a 2nd driver
There was definitely favouritism. Niki and Toto both were team hamilton
What? Ham literally had the most car failures
Max in the background getting ready to drop bombs on hamilton 😂
Remember Nico is aeronautical engineer as well
How was this 8 years ago.
lewis was so salty he couldnt get that runback the next year hahahaa
Every season will be there....its Amazing this battle every year
it was the best season of F1 i have seen in my life ... best rivalry ... nico is and will always be as good as Hamilton ...
No way as good as Hamilton in just one season of pure luck n Hamilton having alot of engine failure not even close to Hamilton talent check their karting history just stop the emotional make believe feelings just chemical flowing through your body
Nico Roseberg still remains to be the only drive to Defeat Lewis fair and square on the track in a championship battle. What a driver!
Vettle 2010.
And kimi 2007😂
Needed a lot of luck tbf
This season wasn't fair just stop it
All my respect for Nico Rosberg, a German driver that developed a German team alongside Ross Brawn,Michael Schumacher and Niki Lauda and fought an opportunist driver that was better than him and kept his determination not to be a wingman.
The amount of bad luck Hamilton had that season was INSANE, everything went right for Rosberg
Nico Rosberg, “that’s it!” 2016
FLoz is an OG gald to know where i can find him, thanks m8
Crazy how unlucky Lewis was at the start of the season
I mean 2 bad starts made him run a lot in dirty air and we know now that merc have not build engines for racing they overheat easier then others bec they where anyways so dominat the front
@@ehrlichgesagt863 this is a really good point as to why the engines failed
Next to 2021, we need another season like this.
It's a shame Perez can't hold a candle against Verstappen.
Yeah that's true and besides I we would feel better if Max versteepnn had a teammate that's just as good as he is but who do you have that just as good as Max versteepnn other than Lewis Hamilton maybe.
Only 2 ppl live rent free in Hamilton's head, that's Max, and Nico!!
Both lucky Masi was payt in abu dhabi
And Nicos Ingeneurs manipulate the goat in the start
2023 and when you see what Perez was doing against his team mate makes you respect Nico even more, even though he went on to retire immediately.
I love this channel
I am lewis fan but nico deserve better…luck dont favor him in 2014,2015….he is so talented driver
Nico is class act!!
PLEASE MAKE OF THE 2021 SEASON PLEASE
Floz did
@@mikehachey3869 Where can I find it please.
Interested in this too!
2016 F1 best ending
No Interference no nothing
Only 1 on 1
Its was the time frame in which F1 died out for good...
Excellent video
Y después de salir campeón , Nico se las aplicó muy bonito a MB , se retira y con ello no permite que se desquiten
Nico did win, but if not for Lewis having bad luck with engines and such, no hope. So, congrats Nico, but for me it is not a true 100% clinch. When Lewis had a car that worked, he dominated Nico every time.
Why didn’t he win in Japan then?
I can't wait for his book to come out 😂😂
1:16:45 seems like claiming the team is sabbatoging his car, and doing it again here in 2024 🤣
I miss the days of teammates actually hating each other on the grid; it's a competition boys GET IN THERE
As a Nico's fan I'm loving to see all the Hamilton fans in the comments being respectful sometimes I forget they are non toxic ones.
Nico beat 7 times champion in same machinery.
He wasn’t 7 time champion in 2016
3 time wdc 😅
Both of them.
PARA MI UNA DE LAS MEJORES TEMPORADAS,ESE AÑO SE ACABO LA CARRERA DE BOTTAS.JAJAJA..MERCEDES YA NO VOLVIO A PERMITIR ESAS LUCHAS....GRAN DOCUMENTAL
