    I'm Hamilton Fan, but there is no way for anyone not to adore Nico's commitment and talent. Despite what media wanted to show us these 2 gave F1 fans what we love most, brilliant competition and sportmanship after races are over. Well deserved win, Nico

    • @littleclum
      @littleclum 8 месяцев назад +8

      I'm a through and through Hamilton fan as well but Nico's mental attitude and EQ (emotional quotient) in that year truly was deserving of being a champion. He clearly stated time and again that he wasn't looking at the championship, he was just taking it a step at a time. He learnt to bite his tongue and not to complain as much as the previous couple of bitter years in their rivalry and tbh he was the better man overall.
      Lewis in turn was to be commended for his attitude in the first 5 races which truly were awful for his luck and that clearly paid off leading up to Spa. Singapore was a sore one for Lewis and having his engine set fire in the autumn was terrible luck as well but it is what you make of it all - random elements like that will always happen so congrats to Nico in the end. He clearly also made an effort to restore his relationship with British F1 fans as well and I can only respect and appreciate that so well done, a true champion to the end

    Nico was expected to be a good number 2. to win when Lewis couldn't. But he didn't except that. He knew Lewis had a habit of starting season's slowly and so devised a plan to get maximum points early to fend of a late lewis charge. That is exactly what he did...and it worked! Full respect to Nico.

He had come very close before and although won a little less races, his consistency was amazing and finally got him the title win. Anyone who says it isn't deserved is just delusional for the sake of mental comfort because the 2016 WDC the biggest "dent" in Lewis's career.

    • @tonybleau6219
      @tonybleau6219 Год назад +1

      @sachin m1 Guaranteed I know more about F1 than your biased ass. DNFs are part of the sport and Lewis had one more than Rosberg. Other than that, their seasons are almost virtually identical. You're probably one that looks at "oh Lewis had more wins" or a fan that thinks Raikkonen didn't deserve his title because of "what ifs". 385 points to 380 show Rosberg outperformed Lewis, quite literally.
      Rosberg was in no way overwhelmed by Hamilton on raw one-lap speed. In fact, he averaged 0.1s quicker than him in 2013, as Hamilton joined Rosberg’s Mercedes team. Subsequently the numbers say a 0.075s qualifying advantage to Hamilton in 2014, 0.147s in 2015 and 0.152s in ’16.
      Hamilton with the edge, but a small one. The difference was more about how they arrived at their lap time, Hamilton improvising his way around however the car, track and tyres combined, Rosberg analysing deeper to get something that worked for his more rigid needs.
      He used the engineering depth at Mercedes to allow him to compete with Hamilton - in a way that Hamilton came to learn from. Hamilton’s all-round completeness of the last few seasons, the way he extracts the most from everyone around him, owes much to observing how Rosberg operated. Rosberg is a different personality, he doesn’t have that singular, slightly narcissistic, inner conviction of Hamilton to fuel his self-belief. Hamilton shares that trait with many great champions - Senna, Mansell, Schumacher, just the most obvious ones.
      Lacking that put Rosberg at a disadvantage, both within the team dynamics and out on the track where he was less instinctual in the split second of combat. He had to fight against the effects of that throughout his time as Hamilton’s sparring partner.
      They drove the exact same car. Rosberg was just superior with the engineering aspects and got more out of his Merc early in the season.
      You're the kind of "what if" idiot that thinks DNFs are only the engineers' fault. Ignorant bullshitting Lewis fan lmao

    • @tonybleau6219
      @tonybleau6219 Год назад

      @sachin m1 If you and I are in the same exact car developped by the same engineering team. I get the car to wins and you constantly get mechanical problems, you think the engineers are the only ones to blame for every instance? You Lewis fans suffer from too much cognitive dissonance.
      And pre-KG? You came in here with no substance asking someone if they're dumb and expected a thought out, civil reply? You're off your rocker little man.
      Oh and in Spain, beat polesitting Hamilton off the line and won the race. So there's your timestamp.
      It was very reminiscent of Lauda beating Prost in 84. Prost just like Lewis was the faster man but the engineering and consistency of Lauda and Rosberg, won them the championship, respectively.
      It's like you think I'm saying Rosberg the better driver. He isn't. But he won that Championship fair n square through outperforming Lewis over the course of the season. It's not all about Lap times my guy.

    I've said it quite "often" that Nico wasn't the only one who had to put everything in him to win the race and that LH also had to put everything he had to compete against Nico in 2016
    You can see it when you look back at all of their races and interviews from 2016
    Considering that fact, it would have been so painful for LH in contrast to so much happiness Nico gained from it

    "It's my corner" was always Nico's defence, he said the same thing with Ricciardo at Hockenheim one year. It's you can dictate the line but he takes it too far and then doubled down on his view. Didn't do him any favours.

    As much as this is amazing work by Floz, this actually wouldn’t come under ‘fair use’. Because the content isn’t transformative, nor drastically changed from the original and it’s not being reviewed or critiqued in any way.
    That’s like saying that me making a compilation of races from this season with only some graphics adding is ‘fair use’. That’s not what it is intended for and why it’s been copyright claimed from his channel. Honestly, I’m surprised all his content hasn’t been pulled.
    (As I said, I’m very much enjoying it. But that doesn’t make it ‘fair use’ as claimed).

    If Rosberg was constantly in 2014-2015 the way he was in 2016 i doubt Hamilton would have won so much … but his cowardness and selfishness showed up by having a wingman from 2017 up to 2021

    As a Nico's fan I'm loving to see all the Hamilton fans in the comments being respectful sometimes I forget they are non toxic ones. But let's be honest 2016 was more that luck, Nico won because he thrown everything at it. Because ti be fair Nico is nowhere near as talented as Lewis but he was, in my opinion, better with the set ups and strategies, also the work outside the track was just massive. So yes 2016 is a probe of hardwork (and a bit of luck) above natural talent
