  • This animal that looks a bit like a hedgehog is converted to origami in an incredible way by Steven Casey. We are so happy he gave his permission for one of his absolute masterpieces. This video is in several parts which means it's not an easy model but the result is in our opinion totally worth it!
    Diagrams can be found in COS 2015 (Czech Origami Society) or in the book 'Classic Origami #01: Echidna (www.amazon.com/Classic-Origam....
    The paper that was used in the video and thumbnail was Tant paper from www.origami-shop.com, a paper that is very well suited for this echidna as it is not too thin and very strong.
    Paper used in the video: Tant 50x50cm/ 19.7x19.7 inch (after paper change), 35x35cm/13.8x13.8 inch. The smaller paper would work to complete the model but in order to make it as clear as possible we changed to 50x50cm.
    Level: Complex
    Enjoy!

      Is it essential for the paper to be 35cmx35cm?

    • @JMsOrigamiTutorials
      @JMsOrigamiTutorials  2 года назад

      @@callmegrandad9375 Depends on how thick and strong your paper is. For a normal paper 35 is the minimum I guess

    What is the smallest sized paper you recommend using? Can it be done with 10 inch?

    • @JMsOrigamiTutorials
      @JMsOrigamiTutorials  3 года назад +2

      I guess you should at least have 30x30cm, so that's about 12 inch.

      Now I know why I fail so badly every time I try origami of this level of complexity. My paper is tiny compared to yours.

      @@kyanleong8014 Yes it's for sure you need to have a big paper. But you don't need to buy super expensive ones, you can take for example wrapping paper like kraft, it won't give a superb result but it will do the job

    Is step 17 required? Is it missed in the video. Step says lift corner as indicated to release trapped layers and flip hidden corner. I fold the pleat over as you do but then it seems to skip to step 28 at 24 minutes into the video. Am I missing something please? Awesome video by the way. Looks amazing does the end result

    • @JMsOrigamiTutorials
      @JMsOrigamiTutorials  3 года назад +1

      Well I was also in doubt about that one. I think your paper may be stuck in that step so if it isn't free you have to release the corner. If it is free you can just go on like I did in the video. Let me know if it worked or not, I can help you more of you need to
