    I am fine with zoom court for people to watch, but defendants should always be in court.

    • @BakerStudiosIndy
      @BakerStudiosIndy 5 дней назад

      If the court issues a bench warrant, we have no trouble finding them. Sovcidiots are the easiest to find because they never bother to actually hide. But Zoom court is ultimately easier on defendants and attorneys, as well as those of us required to testify. My only wish as an officer of the court would be for cell phones to be equipped with a stun setting. When the court issues a contempt finding, the phone delivers 50,00 volts. Seriously though, when the courts send my office a warrant, we usually have them in custody by the next day. I always appreciate Judge Middleton up in St. Joe County. When someone fails to appear, he announces it, and says that anyone who knows the defendant should tell them to turn themselves in. Within hours, the whole community knows, and the sheriff's office gets load of tips. 🤣

    The idea that you’d require a warrant to do any kind of investigation is beyond stupid. As in the example you gave, that would mean police would have to run to a judge in order to detain or arrest anyone in any circumstance. This is as stupid as when some of them claim the government must have a signed consent form in order to enforce laws on any particular person. Remember “I, woman Angela”? The judge basically mocked her and called it absurd. As he mentioned, that would turn our Republic into an anarchist state overnight.

    In what passes as SovCit "thought," the all caps name is that of a strawman, an artificial person created by the state for business purposes that is separate from the living man or woman who is not that person once the state is put on notice. The state is charging the strawman by using the name in all caps and not the living man who spells their name with a mix of capital and lower case letters. The living man can not be held to account for what the strawman is accused of.

    The other thing you said here falls under an exception to the warrant requirement if I see you murder somebody then I wouldn't need a warrant under any circumstances because Plainview is an exception to the warrant requirement. But like I previously explained Any time I'm in the cartilage of my home or I'm in my home an officer almost always needs a warrant to conduct an arrest

    Why doesn’t the judge give him some days for contempt. I blame the judges completely for letting them behave like that! I think the judge is a weak judge and if think the judge is tough says a lot about you.

      I don’t necessarily think she’s tough. Unlike most judges though she let him get out his spiel and then completely ignored it from then on out.

      Yep... He interrupted the judge and talked over the top of her three times.
      He should have been smashed with a contempt charge.

      She was fine. Ignored all his sovcit malarkey, found him guilty, told him what the fine was. Didn't take up a whole lot of time with him. Stumped him with that "where is your trust registered?" question. I wish more judges would ask that, since the sovcit has no idea how to answer that. The guru just told them that "trust" is a magic word.

    About ALL CAPS, it’s a Chicago Manual of Style thing. If you don’t know what that is, the Chicago Manual of Style is a published, now online, reference guide to style, usage and grammar that’s been around forever, and is generally used by publishing houses, newspapers, magazines, or generally any entity who places an importance on consistency when it comes to style and grammar in published literature or documentation. ALL CAPS is a stylistic choice that’s made to signify importance or is used to get someone’s attention, but has no legal purpose or meaning. That’s it. Period. Full stop. End of sentence.

      Actually the "all caps" business isn't even a Chicago Manual of Style thing. It's complete nonsense based on a gross misunderstanding of the Chicago Manual of Style. So let's see what the 16th Edition actually says:
      [A] Article 11:147 is part of the section on Sign Languages. Article 11:144 tells us what sign languages are: "The visual-gestural languages used by deaf people in different parts of the world are called signed languages....."
      [B] Since this is a style manual, it's purpose is to define styles and conventions for reproducing language in print. So article 11:146 introduces the topic: "Many formal systems for writing signed languages exist; however, none has been adopted for use by large numbers of deaf signers. This section offers an overview of some of the most frequently employed conventions for written transcription of signing...."
      [C] And in article 11:147 we read: "The written-language transcription of a sign is called a gloss. Glosses are words from the spoken language written in small capital letters: WOMAN, SCHOOL, CAT. (Alternatively, regular capital letters may be used.) When two or more written words are used to gloss a single sign, the glosses are separated by hyphens. The translation is enclosed in double quotation marks..."
      [D] So --
      [1] American Sign Language is not Dog Latin or any other kind of latin. It is a gestural language used by deaf people.
      [2] "Glossa" is merely a style convention (adopted by the University of Chicago Press and perhaps other publications) for representing in print signed language, i. e., language communicated by hand or body gestures rather than by sound or printed symbols. It has nothing to do with courts or governments.
