I have been noticing that most of his live concert performances I've seen on youtube he always seemed out of breath, mainly due to smoking, but still that doesn't stop him from giving most people a hell of a performance.
@@easfancalifornia1787 a lot earlier than that, it was the 90s at leas if not earlier . I wathced a live clip of him in 1990 and he had about 3 or 4 just in the 1 hour and a half nigh club concert . Sadly as you say it makes you winded getting out of your chair or talking , let alone singing. Miricle he still managed it after that long. The chorus of you spin me needs really good breath support and I am amazed that he could ever do it by then. His voice actually stayed quite good considering all of that, compared to some.
I think it’s safe to say that this song was one of the most danceable songs of the year if not of the 1980s. When Pete sang, “I want your love,” I think I heard a bit of an operatic sound in his voice. He was truly a talented singer and performer. Pete Burns is truly missed yet fondly remembered.
Yeah, I’ve seen lots of videos of him singing where he does have a bit of an operatic sound to his voice, I kind of wish he did more vocal-focused music with his voice, like a power ballad/powerhouse album. His voice was AMAZING.
was this his last ever full concert of any kind. I cannot find anything after this! there was one mimed german TV show that month, then nothing for 4 years till his final ever live performance on big brother and that was one song.
He's said he's had it with this song & hates performing it now. Everyone just wanted spin me more & more & when the 2003 mix came out & the 2009 mix he was done. I don't blame him it would get old singing the same song for like over 30 years he has many other great songs but people don't like them because he's gay & all those songs were when he was married so why do people hate him
its a shame how far he fell. broke and just a wreck. his voice is still good if he would do something with it. poor pete cares more about his makeup then giving a great performance. hopefully he will see how bad they were and turn it around. we can only hope. I still love the group.

@@the.rico.network That is becuase singing the full chorus on one breath would have been too much! Its actually quite hard to do the whole chorus in one breath like its intended to be.
Pete is not breathless here, it is the fact that he wasn't singing this song at all.... he just acted like he did and moved away from the microphone before the words ended. Why do performers do this to their fans?

But he has others songs. People don’t know they have more songs like my heart goes bang, something in my house, brand new lover and more.
It wasn’t because he was gay. I think people avoided him because of his funky Appearance and wardrobe.
