DJI Osmo Action 3: a new hope (and I was kinda wrong)

- I got a replacement for my DJI Osmo Action 3. And this time, I really think it doesn't have focus issues.
Even if I said in this video that my previous unit was good enough:

It turns out that "good enough" is still different than "as good as it can be".
I think we are fine now :D

I've been trying to decide which one to buy. I guess I'm skipping dji. Focus issue is clearly not fixed, and it looked like they're just pretending to have fixed the issue. Even if dji is cheaper, i wouldn't settle for a substandard product.
I think that's fair. Take a look at Tamara Gabriel's latest videos on the Action 3, they look great in my opinion 👌🏼

When it is -20C and you are out and about with your gear the title could be "Cold Vlog"....
Roger you "mentioned" me in a previous video among your viewers but since the channel has taken a somewhat action cam direction, which I don't have, I think we have drifted apart. But it is natural that channels and interests evolve etc etc.
You are lucky that you had light at all. Here in Skåne it has been an unusually grey January and the times there has been sun it has been fleeting and I have been at work.

So far, since January 6th, the day I filmed this video has been the only one where we've seen the sun at all 😅
And yeah, the main reason for the Action/360 shift is that the only chance I get to make any videos at all is by taking a walk with a camera (and often with the dog or kids) so these are ideal for the purpose.
I have ideas, but with the changes at work not much time or energy unfortunately.
So how to buy Doa3 would be ok?
I don't know what to say. I can't confirm whether certain manufacturing dates are definitely fine, and there are people that think my unit is still faulty (I don't).
@@RogerinFinland people write that some models had problems, e.g. those from November 2022. Is there a date after which DOA3 was fixed? Your statement shows you don't know. I see.
It appears to me that your footage is NOT in focus. The sound quality is also really poor. I am a big supporter of the Action 3, but not the unit you are using. Sorry. Good luck.

I'm thinking about Gopro11 and OA3 for motovlogging and vacation videos, but I see that, unfortunately, the problem with autofocus still occurs. Your face is clearly not in focus. You can see the blur on the face. The sound is good, but unfortunately this microphone costs more than the Rode wireless, so I'm probably going to buy a competitor's camera. Video is of great importance to me. Thanks for the video.
Even if it is for piece of mind, get the GoPro. To me this OA3 is in focus, much better than the previous one which was better than my older Action 2...
But at ever video I post or I see about Action 3 there's a bunch of people saying that "yeah, this unit is clearly a good one" and another bunch saying "clearly out of focus"
There starts to be some conditioning either way I'm afraid.
About the microphone, the usability and size alone are (again, my own personal opinion) so much better than the Rode option that I'm happy I made the switch. There are more and more alternatives though.

@@RogerinFinland GP 11 I tested and compared to my old GP6 . Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to test OA3. I am a DJI Air2s user and I am very happy with it. The OA3 Adventure Combo camera is super tempting. If DJI does not have problems with the return, I will gladly order a camera to see the video quality with my own eyes. I know that RUclips compresses the video and the quality does not reflect reality. The temptation to the camera is huge
I don't have experience with returns, but it was very very easy to get replacements for both the A2 and OA3 via DJI's support.
It took a while in both cases, but other than that it was great service.
