    I have this mug too though my lid is designed a bit differently. I totally agree with your review, thanks for taking the time to educate us.

    Contigo is "not dishwasher safe" for the metal part because the washing causes the paint to fail. I don't care about that so I throw it in on the top shelf with the glassware and accept the pinto look of my purple with silver showing through, mug. 🙂

    💥💥 some people be lying with their reviews on Amazon like the guy who said he had three separate Stanley products in which the button fell off.
    These are pretty inexpensive I ordered mine off Amazon I got the black one for 21 dollars.

    Great review! How's the weight like compared to your insulated mugs/tumblers? Stanley make ones with a french press but since you can't remove the grinds after pressing, it will tend to oversteep if you don't drink the coffee right away.

      It's larger and sturdier so a bit heavier. You get used to it, though!

    do not desinfect it after using it the first time! You might even get involved into a nuklear war, than kiss your own bug!
