"Two dead people walk into a bar"-- Literally every episode
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤨
Well played.
except episode 2 chiyuki and the other white girl idk they just watched those 2 people playing dart in EP1.
"The dying rate has become increasingly high." I wonder why... *cough* Kira *cough*.
there was someone in episode 11 who looked like kira
Darren Pinto Yea, that was him.
I would've liked to see the episode with Light.
+Ira S I would love to see an OVA which crossovers Death Note and Death Parade in a way. Like Fairy Tail and Rave Master.
+Sasuke210000 that would be the most amazing thing
BOOM BOOM BOOM DANCING THROUGH THE SKIES
Glass Reflection Fix your description!
Yeah, it says Monthly Girl's Nozaki-kun
Everybody, put you hands up
Glass Reflection Congrats on making #1 on WatchMojo's number anime reviewer countdown.
Do fma or fma brotherhood
Anyone else catch Light Yagami's brief appearance in episode 11?
TehBeyonder Me.
xSonicSeedrian i did , but that doest make sense, in death note those who used death note will be send directly to void(nothingness) when died, why the heck he is there being judge for?
what make sense though is when they said the dying rate has become really high which is the work of kira lol
Mecha Meister Easter egg you may of herd of them marvel likes to use them
Mecha Meister It was a little easter egg lol. Death Note was done by Madhouse, as was Death Parade.
sheamcc2 My cock is literally bursting through my skirt ya i know, i just want to point out the logic behind it xD
The ice skating scene alone is worth the price of admission.
I cried on last 2 episodes... not a single anime had that much impact on my emotions
I cried on last 2 episodes... not a single anime had that much impact on my emotions
Truth, I cried when he hugs the tv mom and the otaku guy and says you did the best you could.
Yuri on death parade
Ginti was not there for nothing...he was the contrast to Decim.
Decim: Quality>Quantity
Ginti: Quantity>Quality
DIMusicA Yeah. He was there to show that not all arbiters do the job the same way.
Do you know what contrast means?
HalfMoon γρ
you know what I mean...and not the word contrast is the problem but the structure of my sentence xD sry for english not being my primary language...
DIMusicA Decim: Quality>Quantity
Ginti: Quantity>Quality That isnt contrast,
Decim: Quality>Quantity
Ginti: Quantity
HalfMoon γρ
no it is not....what you've wrote would be the exact same thing o.O
My favorite character by far was Decim. I loved watching him slowly become more human and the way he and the black haired woman interacted.
Also, Ginti's arc provided some much needed levity in the middle of an otherwise dark show. Although, I hate what Ginti did to them in the end.
DarkGenesis61 my fav was Nona she was super sexy
Chiyuki was her name
Her name is Chiyuki
@@Jake-rn9lj based sigma male reasoning
The wasn't chosen to be the assistant because she had no memories, She remembered she was dead so she couldn't be judged. Nona chose to keep her to test Decim's humanity that was implanted him.
He wasn't giving spoilers pass episode 3
admit it, this made you cry at some points....we all did..
Your right
+SamuelMcCloud never. I don't cry in shows.
+Ha Ppy I don't blame you
To be frank, and with no offense, if someone I knew cried for this anime, I'd think they'd missed the point.
I cried at the ending. +Ha Ppy I cried, not because I missed the point, because it hit close to home for me. I realized a lot about my life, and I had a whole new outlook on life
I don't think the plot points were irrelevant. They don't get resolved, yes, I think that's the whole purpose of them. That's what I found to be the biggest tragedy here, that no matter all the emotions that even Decim felt, and what Nona did, and everything, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CHANGED in the end.
I wouldn't say absolutely nothing changed. Decim has obviously changed how he interacts with guests and while the old guy will most likely keep interfering, it's still possible that other arbiters may follow suit. Change isn't always big. Sometimes it's just baby steps.
I think that more a personal preference issue then something he considers a problem
When Ginti tricked the human and sent her to the void, it hurt sooooooo much. Physically and emotionally hurt me
EVERYBODY, PUT YOUR HANDS UP!
wut?
That OP was a TRAP all along.
@@Apogee012 Its part of the lyrics form the Death Parade opening
My jam
I love your music💕
It seemed to me that the second arbiter sidestory was
1. to contrast Decim, personality and judgement style
2. show how Decim's reluctance to immediately judge Chiyuki effected the second arbiter's ability to confidently judge
That's how I perceived it at least.
My feeling on Death Parade is that is kinda exists in a void. You dont get the whole story but a small glimpse into a strange world from the view of multiple characters. I think if they make a sequel they should just focus on a different arbiter, since there are clearly more then Ginti and Decim and just keep the episodic tone of the show whilst slowly unraveling the mysterious sub-plot about flowe-beard.
Hey Ark did you see that your number 1 on Watchmojo's anime reviewers list?
Congratulations on snagging number 1.
Crimson Gamer what!? gimme a link now!
Karl Arty nah he's number 3
Crimson Gamer I wouldn't consider that an accomplishment or something to be proud of.

Episode 9, one of the best episodes in anime, ever
***** watch hxh 2011 ep 126 or 131, you might want to rethink that
Mecha Meister Even if those ep are good, why can't ep 9 still be one of the best?
***** it just not on the same level, i wont say how good the hxh ep are, better experience it yourself
consider it as a good deed
Mecha Meister "A good deed" for who exactly? You make it sound like I have to put work into this, and I just want to enjoy watching anime.
***** oh i meant from me, but whatever its nothing really
Madhouse is love
Madhouse is life
If someone can get him to see hunter x hunter they deserve a medal
Javion Malveaux you mean he hasnt watch it??
Trafalgars LaW Doubt it. I don't think he has enough time to watch a 148 episode long shonen. Although it is a shame, considering how great of an anime that it is.
one day our prayers will be answered
Javion Malveaux ofc and i have watched it and its one of my fav anime!
"Holy crap the Opening" lmao
Finally someone saw this! The opening got me hooked and the anime is a 10/10 itself.
Just perfection.
just finished this, one of the best animes ive seen.
Just finished it myself. it's so good that I didn't even noticed that I was already on the 10th episode, and I thought that only 30 minutes have passed. either that or I need to get a life.
Just finished it myself, one of the best animes ive ever seen. I want season 2 soooooo bad!
sameer athar season 2 is gonna be tough, it might actually ruin the series but still. a sequel could be nice.
that being said I don't think they'll be a season 2 since this is an original anime series instead of a series based on a manga or light novel, seriously tho, I was really surprise to find out that there's no manga to this
Jack Dullboy yea I think you're right this was just a complete beautiful master piece and I'd rather cherish this for what it is rather than getting a season 2 which might be disappointing.
Also if someone did manga series for this, their gonna make BANK!
Wait is this as good as berserk ?
You really are the best anime reviewer out there!
EruptionFang I prefer Demo D+, but I agree, he is very good
Ein alter rostiger Toaster he has to feed his fucking iguana
EruptionFang Nah, That AnimeSnob and Anime Addicts all the way.
The JuanTrueKaiser Bob Samurai
Halfmoon is great
What would be cool is a new season judging other anime characters from other series's. Lelouch vi Brittania would be fucking fascinating.
That sounds too cool.
Someone write a fan fic for this! And have him square off against Light Yagami.
@@alyssaagnew4147 Okay I'm gonna do it...Gonna write it down here in the comments some time later.
Fucking review Cory in the House already.
We already know it's perfect, but I would like to hear his opinion anyways too...
MrHellion1994 In my opinion it's just a bad sequel to the godly That's So Raven, but who am I to judge?
^
My cock is literally bursting through my skirt Do you ever get tired of this joke?
Let the damn meme die
Please Madhouse give us a season 2!!!!!!!
Madhouse season 2s is like winning the lottery
JWhack200 Then diamond on ace won the jackpot.

Glass Reflection Please don't kill it. Don't kill the hype. Let it live and fly as high as it can.
Glass Reflection From your reaction. We should expect angry people in the comment section for your parasyte review
Glass Reflection plz tear into that hideous ending it had
Glass Reflection do it damnit!
Glass Reflection don't just tease us like that...
Death Parade was a great anime, the first I've ever watched weekly too. 10/10 And I do agree, Holy crap that Opening
SPOILER
just .. i don't know after the end I can't see this show without the both of them in it. Cause their partnership really stuck with me.
Snow Anaya i always see you in the comments of almost all the vids i watch. WE'RE TOTALLY SOUL MATES!
Snow Anaya i never liked the black hair girled so im all good for season 2
Gevoian Yasin Why ? Just why ? How the fuck don't you like her ? I'm honestly curious how you don't like her. Out of all the people in that anime she's the most relatable is it cause she's a human ? TBH she's the only reason I could tolerate Decim at times. Decim to me was so boring , his actions , his mood. Ginti was better. Decim grew on me over time, but now that she's gone it's like well he's back to being a talking dummy ( literally) that now smiles.
A season 2 would only work if he wasn't the MC. Ginti or some other Arbiter should be the MC, but that won't happen since it sold so poorly in Japan. There is the Drama CD that's coming out, but that's it. Personally glad one season is perfect. It gave us enough to world build on our own.
***** Where did you see me say that ? You must mean Tokyo Ghoul cause I hate that anime . I love the manga , but both seasons of Tokyo Ghoul are horrible adaptions.
Now there working on Tokyo Ghoul :re .. These poor animators make less than most sweat shop. I could only imagine the horror of being paid shit and working on a shit anime.. Anime Industry is literally slave business.
Silver Crow I like to credit it to my insomnia and social anxiety. I am everywhere and nowhere on this site.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your lie in April) was my absolute favorite of 2014, and maybe even 2013. I would be so happy if you reviewed it.
Sean Sidi It was your favourite of 2013? That's odd, considering how it started airing in 2014...
Sean Sidi um dude. It aired in 2014. But yes, its my favorite of that year too.
My cock is literally bursting through my skirt AnimeFlyz my bad on the wording, I meant it was my favorite out of the past two years
Sean Sidi I enjoyed it at start , then I felt it became unbearably Cheesy and cliche, felt it was sad for the sake of being sad...even killed a cat for no reason whatsoever other than just you know...its sad. Well that's just my opinion ...
yash arya Damn. A well-articulated and well-justified opinion... we can't have that!!
The iceskating scene was amazing
Great review Arkada! Please review either Durarara!! or Parasyte next.
I think if he does end up reviewing Durarara!! It'll be once it ends, so about spring 2016. It'll be kind of pointless to reviwew it now since there's only two seasons left and they're almost here.
Leon Maxwell Wait, you mean that thing's still going? I did a music video with Durarara's opening 2 years ago, and that was a couple years after I saw it on TV.
SangoProductions21 Well, kind of. A new studio bought Durarara!! recently, and they announced they were going to do three new seasons. The first one, Durarara!!x2 Shou aired this winter season. The next one will air in summer, and then the third and final one in winter 2016.
Yes, there's a second season of Durarara!! which has been cut into 3 parts. The first one (Shou) has already been released and is 12 episodes long. The second part (Ten) is slated for release in July 2015. The third part (forgot the name) is slated for release in January 2016. So we can expect a total of roughly 36 episodes in season 2.
Oh yea definitely Parasyte.
WHY DON'T YOU REVIEW FUCKING DURARARA ALREADY?!?
Doge God ^
Doge God HE HAS A LIFE .HE WORKS AND PAY HIS BILLS JUST LIKE EVERBODY ELE'S!
Doge God Because its bad...
***** Its not bait, the show had a shit story. The characters where complete garbage (expect for three). They never explain any of the super natural elements, at all. The show was awful, after watching Baccano (a show I consider a masterpiece) I had high hopes. I was terribly wrong and I'm sad to see people want more from such a shit show instead of demanding more Baccano.
Doge God Oh I guess I wasn't the only one thinking this.
Thank you so much for gibing this a good score. I've had so many people tell me this is overrated, which was making me feel lonely.
LPgeneratorx Sadly it is overrated; it has tons of plot holes. You should go watch AnimeAddict's review of the series; it's an excellent video.
Lachlan Still
Plot Holes? Like?
LPgeneratorx Most of the plot holes have to do with the mechanics of the world. They are not explained in any sufficient depth and as such it constantly contradicts its own seeming rules. Again, AnimeAddict's video goes over most of them.
Lachlan Still Yeah, I can understand that the world wasn't explained very well, but I think that the world wasn't the focal point of the show.
I am watching the video, but... I seriously don't think that all of his complaints are valid. But admittedly some of them are true.
Still. 8/10 for me. Death Billiards was better as a short story, imo.
LPgeneratorx The biggest thing beyond the logic's plot holes is the fact that ALL of the arbiters exhibit a vast spectrum of emotion throughout the show. With the fact that that "arbiters can't posses emotions" being drilled into the audience's skull this is just insulting. It could have been all right if the show had attempted to work that into some sort of message about emotion being impossible to repress or something along those lines, but it didn't. It just went nowhere with it.
Light yagami made this show worth it
I didn't even notice Light
KidSnivy69 seriously
2kOmniKing Yes
who else saw light from death note in a pic in the second ark
Me
me
That's what I was thinking to my self, "Crap, who is that he looks familiar, wait, no is it, IT'S LIGHT YAGAMI!
I literally paused the show just to get up and say out loud "alright ging, I'm going to make this extremely easy for you....VOID. SEND HIM INTO THE VOID. WE DONT NEED THAT MOTHERF€@&$?! REINCARNATED, YA HEAR!?!?!?
OH no I saw him too! LOL send that crazy ass to the VOID
I thought the black haired lady couldn't be judged because she already knew she was dead when she arrived?
aster1998 Yes, he was mistaken. She didn't had all her memories and she didn't remember how she died but she knew she had died.
Please review Shinsekai Yori! :)
Yes Sir. That's a review I'd love to see!
Bogdan Mezei Oh wow, I completely forgot about that show. I dropped it like, 5 episodes in.
Care to spoil the fuck out of the anime for me? I don't feel watching it.
^ That sounds really douchey.
the03k "from the new world" is so slow, it creeps on you like a vine. Before you know there's no escape. Perhaps, you discover at the end, you where rooting for the wrong team. One of the best psychological thrillers I've seen in years.
Bogdan Mezei awesome anime
Bogdan Mezei
Didn't expect something like this to come here, and have so many likes.
I completely agree, one of my favorites. It's highly underrated.
To me this was definetly what you call "certified frosty" as I don't agree with many of the cons you listed. I do believe that a lot of the introduced plot points hinted at a second season, I guess I will keep my fingers crossed... Also have you heard of the theory about Deathnote and Deathparade being in the same universe, because it is very interesting and makes alot of sense.
Could it be like Piers Anthony series "Incarnations of Immortality" character Death, who only personally collect souls that are 'borderline' evil or good?
When I saw the title I immediately stated singing welcome to the black parade
I watched this and cried almost the entire way through. No anime has done that to me. Sure I'll cry watching the end of the series but other then that. The only exception to that rule was when I watched the first episode to Your Lie in April and never continued. But still.
The ending theme though... I haven't ever purchased a song so quickly after starting an anime. It's amazing. *~*
This and a doctor who episode inspired me for a new anime idea:
I only have the premise.
In the far future, an extremely totalitarian government controls earth, where to encourage good behavior, the government have emulated a heaven/hell thing, where after you physically die your consciousness gets stored as electrical code, where it will be sent to a digital "heaven" or "hell" where the uploaded consciousness will, sao style, feel a digitally generated world, akin to heaven or hell. That's the premise. I have no idea in terms of plot or characters. Tell me what you think, though this is clearly not the right place for a comment like this. The RUclips comments section is not a web forum after all.
Yea... that was already kind of done, forgot the title though so give me a sec.
Coolclev erstone well, they clearly copied me.
It's psycho-pass.
What? Psycho pass? That's.. kind of different. Sure, its still got the "totalitarian government controlling you and basing your fate on your behavior" kind of thing going on, but my idea is based on afterlife, not science fiction detective dramas.
Oh, that's just Jerusalem
Personal recommendation: Hell Girl
This was one of the first anime's I watched and it holds a special place in my heart. If you like Death Parade and you haven't seen it yet...GO WATCH IT :D
2:45 from what I know she arrived knowing she was dead so THEY erased her memory until a later time she will be judged. At least the Dub said so
+Silviu thenippyone i think he jusr wanted to minimize the spoilers.
I don't cry in shows, ever, but I understand why people do. However, it was actually surprising for me to hear the people cried for Death Parade. Even if it had its sad, despairing moments, I don't personally think this anime was supposed to be cried for.
If I were to sum up Death Parade in a few words, it would be "deep, moving melancholy." It is definitely meant to tug at your heart strings as you see all these relationships and how they break because of many different, and sometimes, relatable, circumstances. Death Parade does really well in its ability to slowly reveal and peel away the facade that everyone carries until nothing but their simple desires remain.
But, I think this anime is less about accentuating its sad tone as it is making you think. That is the impression I get from finishing Death Parade: An anime worth reflecting for. It is totally within my bounds to shed a few tears, if I could, (ESPECIALLY during the skating scene) at the thought that all life must end. Crying though? I don't know what to say.
My assumptions of the end decision have been correct most of the time but i am able to justify people for their actions
*Spoiler Alert*
Like in Episode 4 a Lady who is a Celebrity and a Guy who had lost hope Celebrity was Bitch most of the time but i was able to comprehend the fact that what has she gone through life and how it affected her Life She was raising 5 or 6 kids and none of her relationships turned out to be good she was still working hard for them at last even whenshe got angry on her agent was even due to the fact that she was not able to give time to her children bcoz of her busy schedule Their was work stress on her and she grew a survivalist kind of personality
At the end show only tells how complex ones life could be
The timing on this couldn't have been better, marathoned the entire show earlier this week in one day.
If the opening of this anime was Welcome To The Black Parade by MCR I would cry
One of the few anime that at least really attempted profound philosophical reaction. When it exposes the hypocrisy of judgement.
Katanagatari
God yes plz
Hi Arkada!
I hope you will take the time to read my comment here.
This is just a theory but let's begin. Madhouse is the makers of Death Parade and Death Note among others. You asked at 4:22 that you wanted an explanation where all the new souls came from. The theory goes like this: In episode 11, the girl and Ginti talk about why Harada's soul hasn't come back yet. Ginti then shows a picture (at 3:40-3:50) of a guy who looks exactly like Yagami Light from Death note. This is just a theory, but it could be that the two world's (the "death worlds"), is actually the same world and all the new souls comes because Yagami uses his death note.
"Why I couldn't fulfill such a simple request...?"
7:19 That's the best flashback transition I've ever witnessed
I feel the same about the hunger games as I do with this anime. I don't give a shit about the overall plot(revolution/learning who the black haired woman is) I just want to see more games(more rounds of hunger games/more judgements)
I think one of the things that I picked up is an off hand commend about how God hasn't been around in a log time and I think that would be a nice way to elaborate on in a second season
I really enjoyed this series. I didn't really care for the main characters though. The secondary characters story's had me in tears at a few points. Most notably the kid in the air hockey episode.
Totally agree with voices engraving with you, I watch what ever is available sub or dub. The first time this standed out was for gintama I was watching the sub until I got to dubbed episodes and oh man hearing gintokis dub made me laugh at first, it's like if someone went through puberty twice and voice gets deeper.
THAT DEATH NOTE CAMEO THO!
This anime is on my list of top 5 best anime behind FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood and The Rising of the Shield Hero the show itself was brilliant I love Japanese comedy’s, but every once and a while I want to be remind that life sucks and the world isn’t a comedy and to say Death Parade is that is like saying the Berlin Book Burning was a giant bonfire I.E it would be a huge understatement in essence Death Parade to me was a serious as a serious anime could get from them keeping jokes away from the games and just trying to create a depressing atmosphere no other anime has made me feel as if life is meaningless more then this show which is weird considering it’s all about death and what happens afterwards and with each new character you felt saddened by seeing their lives and when you saw that their lives were horrible you felt genuine sympathy for them hell when the whole thing was suicide you see the person regret that they didn’t choose to live and now that they’d wished live, but it over there’s no turning back the clock and when it revealed how Chiyuki got to the Quindecim you truly feel the actual despair she feels about her situation and you wish it could be a happy ending, but no her life is over there’s no going back that’s just how life is. Wow I feel really depressed after writing that remembering all the emotions when watching it dang
Best flashback transition ever!
4:05 Well, Oculus reveals very briefly in one of his conversations with Nonah that 'God has been gone awhile'. This implies that God maybe dead so we may never know why the dead are judged and why they either go to the Void or are reincarnated. But, if there is a season 2, we may find out the history of the Quindecim and/or why all Arbitors work at a bar. We may get the answer to a lot of questions.
After this review I immediately watched the whole thing in dub. Well... Almost the whole thing. I usually don't like dubs, but the voice of Nona in Japanese somehow annoyed me. Anyway... I was watching episode eleven and by the end of it figured out episode twelve hadn't been dubbed yet. Does anybody know anything about this? A release date? Anything? I'm having trouble listening to the sub even though its not awful. It's just weird to listen to because I got attached to the English voices...
I saw an AMV with this anime as its base and i wanted to know more, I was pleasantly surprised by the context of the anime and what it entails.
New Video; which means it's time to...PUT YOUR HANDS UP!! ♫
they could have a baccano ending where there is no ending, where the stories seem endless and carry on. it would explain why it does both episodic and character driven they could literally add more and more characters to refresh this experience and never end.
Best anime of 2015!
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!!
Hmmmmmmm. I agree, apart from some of the things you consider irrelevant and unnecessary. The Ginti subplot showed differences between arbiters and the result of them (as well as just being a good subplot). I also liked the sense of scale given by the insights relating to Oculus (flower guy) and Nona.
If you want a neat plot package I can understand not wanting events that don't lead to anything, but I believe it can be used for scale and the sense that "there is so much more to this world than just what our main characters are experiencing", which to me is a good feeling to have.

Regardless of its flaws(very lil in my opinion) and unanswerd questions, I'm still holding this as my favourite anime thus far.
Vux Sama Uuuuuhm, if you like anime with themes like this one, watch Haibane Renmei.
I just realized that this video was released as I was watching Death Parade for the first time. My husband actually introduced it to me on our honeymoon. I now associate our honeymoon with death, so it may not have been romantic in that sense, but cuddled up, watching anime and knowing that's what the rest of my life will be like -- that was pretty nice.
Death parade is like book:Messenger of fear!
:P
Glass Reflection Ohhh Death Parade.. I REALLY loved this anime, was AOTS, don't know about AOTY, but it sure was amazing. To be frank, i don't really know how to describe my feelings with Death Parade aside from "I LOVED IT". Tho i can say that i think exactly the same as you about the Ending.. The overarching plot (the one considering Ol' Flower-shit-head, not the Black haired woman) didn't ended all that well.. And the fact that they left so many unanswered questions really did bothered me quite a lot.. But the ending that had been given for the Black haired woman x Decim plot, the conclusion and the development throughout the whole show, as well as the Ginti x mayu arc and the episodic plot were absolutely terrific! As always Arkada, you deliver - big time. And for that and for all your past and future reviews to be done, i thank you so much!
Btw, here's two questions about the new season airings that have been haunting my thoughts for some time: have you (Arkada) watched any of the new shows airing this season already, if any at all? Secondly, have you heard about the new show called Kekkai Sensen (AKA Blood Blockade Battlefront)?
Here's a quick summary: "I heard you like Trigun, so i took another Yasuhiro Nightow manga, that have a similar idea behind it and that is set in a pretty much chaotic urban environment that resembles North America in the 20's (it is actually set in that period of time in New york + Superpowers, Fantasy and Supernatural elements.. And of course some great action) and adapted it into an anime (that's doing pretty freaking well so far)". -Studio BONES and Matsumoto Rie.
Hopefully that bit piqued your interest (if you haven't watched it until now, that is), it is highly recommended.
Once again, thanks A LOT for everything you do!
Please review Durarara next Glass Reflection
Two reasons why I subbed to this channel a few videos back. The first is like me, I feel the ending is the most crucial part of any anime. I love some series that have amazing episodes but then the series gives an ending that destroys the entire series by being lackluster or unfinished. The other reason is the whole not being able to watch a series if you start it subbed or dubbed. Date a live is a series that I like for a harem story. It's funny and unique in terms of harem elements and even realizes the cliches of the genre. I started that series dubbed and while there is a second season completed in Japanese, I refuse to watch it because I want the dubbed version. Overall GR you have a very good review style and while I don't always agree with your reviews, I agree that every person has their own take and ultimately it's up to the viewer to either listen to a review or not.
Am I the only one who notice that GRArkada is making weird faces and slurring his words a lot nowadays?
Fubukio The lack of PodTaku is getting to him.
Fubukio Well that keeps people watching since people know this from watching anime (when you think about it) and it also makes quite a lot of the entertainment. Tho if it gets way too rediclious i feel like the qualility could go down and new viewers of GR could be scared off or the opposite. Guess he is testing out whats popular and whats not.
sebbderdepp24 To me, it's already reached to the "Scare People Away" part.
Fubukio You're not the only one, why would you be the only one? I don't really like it and to me he doesn't need to do it, his voice is really good as it is he doens't need gimmicks to make it stand out or make it quirky goofy.
But hey whatever, it doesn't bother me either...................... that much.
He does it a lot when he streams. He's just getting into the habit of doing it.
Came for the anime reviews, subsribed for the melodic voice. Seriously dude, don´t know what it is about your voice, but it´s so damn nice to listen to.
The ending is NOT paramount.
Your lack of wit is staggering that joke was awfull
HalfMoon γρ Actually that was pretty good.
Nah.. Its just a reddit quality joke..
HalfMoon γρ Reddit sometimes hides gems if you dig low enough.
If you're a sadist then sure
It is imperative that you give us that FMA and Fma brotherhood review. Give us what we truly want!!
Another overrated anime that lacks any amount of thematic weight except for the final judgment. Most of the games have nothing to say about the individuals and whether they were good people. The entire thing is a pretentious pile of mediocrity with an opening that made the masses fangasm over the anime even when that has nothing to do with the narrative.
truth
The JuanTrueKaiser "have nothing to say about the individuals" Watch them again because that is far from the truth. It's like you didn't watch it at all. "The entire thing is a pretentious pile of mediocrity." Yeah, no it isn't. It really seems you don't understand the series, just like many others who complain about the show. "No thematic weight" Really?

The JuanTrueKaiser if i had a wish it'll be to wipe any traced word 'pretentious'
such overrated word
They actually talk about how the games are not effective for a good judgement in the anime because all theyre trying to find is the dark side of human nature
The JuanTrueKaiser "Most of the games have nothing to say about the individuals"
Say what you will about the rest of the show, but that is an objectively wrong statement.
Hey Ark I know you did it first reaction video for Aldnoah Zero. Do you think you could do a full review of that now that both halves of the show were available? Also when can we expect a review for the second season of sword art online? or do you even plan to review the second season of sword art online?
hunter x hunter(2011) please
Good review, I enjoyed this show pretty much but as you said i felt like something was missing in the plot. Great animation and colours, though.
Anyway, i was wondering why haven't you reviewed Fullmetal Alchemist? You also recommended it in your "top 25 anime" video...i'd really love to hear a detailed review!
U R GOIN TA HELL BOI
I think with this review we’re missing two major points:
1. The “point” or “reason” for judging souls. It’s said deliberately that it just is what the arbiters do. Similarly to how we were just born. Maybe there’s some greater meaning to life, or maybe (like the Ginti points out) we are just living to die. The arbiters’ purpose in judgment is just judgment. There is no why.
2. The “irrelevant” plot and the ending. I don’t think anything here is irrelevant or that the ending is anything less than perfect. I think the point of leaving out the subplot and not neatly tying up everything at the end is that sometimes in life, things aren’t resolved neatly. Sometimes you don’t get closure, and that’s just the way it is. We don’t get to know what affect she has on Decim in the long run, we don’t know if Ginti’s judgments get better or worse, we don’t know if Oculus changes his mind somewhere down the road. We do know, that he’s made a new rule, we do know that Decim can feel things, but we don’t know what impact that has. It’s not closure, I don’t know if you would call it resolution. But it’s real.
2nd season confirmed :D
+Crona “Thunderhaz” Gorgon This news made me cream myself.
:D
link or source?!!!!!!!
It doesn't need a second season. It should be left just the way it is
Call Me Hunky I haven't finished it but I disagree
Death Parade and Psycho Pass were two very thought provoking anime that had a great English dub, and I love them for it.
This guys hair grosses me out. So... Moist.
The Terra Bunny i hate that word...... *Moist*
Lol ... ""moist""
I don't think the anime was as flawed as you thought it was, simply because you had expectations and hopes for the plot and the progress of the story while from my perspective... there weren't any.
From my perspective the anime was trying to deliver a message and a moral of the story or so to speak.
And the whole set up of the reincarnation and the void and the characters etc, is based on the Buddhism belief of how the world works, and not necessarily because that's how the author believes the world works but because this set up is what would help deliver the message across.
Then again I could be wrong but that's how things look like from my perspective.
*Review Cory in the house*
I just finished watching Death Parade and came to watch this video
And I have 2 comments:
1-IT'S PRONOUNCED "THE KING" NOT "DECK-IN"
2-I would love a sequel to this anime filling the mysteries that weren't solved like "How are the arbiters created" or "How is Decim making his judgements now? Does he not follow the basic rules anymore?"
Maybe they could even bring Chiyuki's reincarnation
C'mon review Parasyte!!!!!!
I went into this video fully understanding that i wouldn't watch whatever you where talking about but about 3 minutes in you got me wanting to see it!
If it wasn't for you videos i don't think that i could watch so many anime!!
Season 2... I'm begging you, madhouse! Please!
Not going to happen. 1-Really close ending 2-It's Madhouse, they hate second seasons.
eiRagnaRok umm, hunter x hunter?
maattthhhh what with hunter x hunter?
Light's sitting there like "all these idiots think this is the end. All going according to plan"
I really disliked Death Parade. Besides it's good directing, good first episode (which I only enjoyed because I had not seen death billiards), and good production values, I disliked almost everything in it. The plot makes no sense, the episodic nature of the show becomes very repetitive and boring, there is a ton of shock factor that loses its effect when they do it *every single episode*, and the protagonist is impossible to relate with because he has no emotions.
Such an overrated show. The only Winter 2015 show that was more overrated than Death Parade was Shigatsu.
Meteor You're not a thinker are you
GamonKills Not sure what you mean with that
Meteor Huh. I didn't know it was opposite day.
I kinda like how we couldnt relate to decim. I think we are suppose to relate to the girl more and get upset a decim for not understanding human nature. The show does get repetitive with the challenges i admit, but the ways the people react are different ( for me at least)
Meteor You should read this

There is a fan-theory as to how they judge the souls. Quindecim is most likely outside of our time, and so it is quite likely that time there moves very quickly by the perception from our world. As in, what seems like a minute to us could be many hours in the world of the arbitors.
Death Parade is bland and repetitive. I liked the 2 last episodes and that was all. The utter definition of mediocrity.
Erik Celso Kolling Yeah, sadly it is. You should go watch AnimeAddict's review of the series; it's an excellent video that talks a lot about the issues you seem to have.
Erik Celso Kolling Really? i loved the first episode as well...its actually what got me into it
Erik Celso Kolling Totally agree, I like the Death billiards a lot better because it was shorter. I think arkada has a bias for this show.
Joey Carthew Your arguments are fragile. The problem is not being a "story-of-the-week" kind of show - Space Dandy is one of my favorites -, the issue resides in the fact that the events are too similar, the results are predictable and the main point of the show is about basically nothing but random judgments that meant nothing at the end (an arbiter who feels emotions? But all the other arbiters feel emotions too, so what's the point?). And it's not that i didn't like it, it's just a 5, not something i'd watch again, but far from being terrible due to the pretty good animation. Btw, i was intrigued by Decim's relationship with the girl and where it'd lead us to, and to be fairly honest, truly liked the next-to-last episode. I just think it could've been great, but ended up overestimated and forgettable.
Lachlan Still I looked it up and i agree with him on most of the points. Thanks for the recommendation =D
I wish we got more Nona. Nona is a great character (also my fav), and she was just so mysterious and shrouded with mystery. Kinda sad her plot point became very unexplained, since we never really understand why she did what she did with Decim. (I won't spoil it, but for those who have seen it, you know what I'm talking about.)
Personally, I found the ending to be very lackluster. There was really no other way the series could've actually ended, but for all of the character development and the sheer amount of personal hype I had about anticipating the next episode...I felt a little...disappointed, somehow. It was a fitting ending, but it wasn't as grand as I had first anticipated.
Great concept. TERRIBLE execution.
u mean mirai Nikki?
One thing that got me in Arbiters is they seem that they were just ordinary humans that somehow got this job and they are not particularly good at it as it was shown in 2nd episode where they discuss how they might have screwed up the previous judgement.
