I had no idea Chopin wrote anything like this! I always thought Paganini rendition on the piano was job of Liszt , however after listening to this my opinion has completely changed!
Beautiful and detailed analyzis on this beautiful variation by Chopin. Can't wait for the next pieces. I'm quite looking forward to the Op 46 especially.
It is funny that you mention Liszt's La Campanella when Chopin uses that jumping technique, since La Campanella is originally Paganini's theme from his 2nd Violin Concerto (1826). Chopin wrote this piece in 1829 after seeing Paganini perform, and Liszt wrote the first version of his La Campanella 9 years later...I wonder if Liszt heard Paganini play, heard Chopin's jumping technique here, and put the two together! Thanks for the wonderful analysis, this series is fantastic!
bravo❣️ super analysis👏👏🎉I really enjoyed! you looks so happy and smile. like Katsaris Luisada. it must be European style French style not Russian style. Chopin looks good on Greg.🤔💐🌹
A little jewel of a video 'hidden away'! Thank you for this 😃😃😃Surely variations Op 2 are a 'must' for 2023, having heard this. They were, after all, published during Chopin's lifetime despite the Orchestral backing.
SO WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS, MAESTRO!!!!! Thank you for one of my favourite Chopin's masterpieces in an excellent rendition and for your tutorial/analysis, I wish you and your family all the best in this Christmas Season and every success in your musical career, again my best regards, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2022. Joanna
Thank you for your analysis. This is my favorite analysis of this song. The comparison between Chopin and Liszt was interesting. The two opposite characters are interesting. Your play is so beautiful, delicate, and elegant. Thank you.
