I sure do appreciate everything you’re doing. I wish I had words to emphasize how grateful I am that you provide such information in a seemingly endless sea of nonsense and debauchery. So thank you. Really.
I have been watching Sartorial Talks for a while and I would like to say it had been very informative and entertaining. Hugo and Sonja are a five star class act. Blessings to you guys
The time of the video went by so fast! I just loved what Naples has to offer. In fact, in one of my jobs, I met a couple of Italian men and I was talking to them about fashion. They specifically said Naples was the place to go. I saved this in my Mens Fashion category for the day I can buy a bespoke suit. For some reason when I saw Panico's work, something clicked in me. Maybe the 'old fashion' style part of me especially prefers his work. Fantastic suit Hugo! Been looking at a similar looking one myself. Love the tie and red handkerchief.
Oops...Happy Father's Day....I'm American, but you are bringing back memories of my Father and his Florsheim shoes with wing tips and his cologne...I lost him in 1986 when I was only 20..how time flies
Hello Hugo and Sonja i hope that this finds you both well, well what can I say the wealth of knowledge that you share with us is truly amazing, and I for one feel very lucky to be a part of this fantastic community, thank you so much, kind regards your friend Ryan.
You are right dear Sonia, we like Hugo in all shapes and sizes too ,lol,)))))))! what a lovely relaxing video with true passion about your work , and true love between both of you ! very nice to see both of you together , you are the Royal couple of the Sartorial field , God bless you both, love from Cairo,
You are so nonchalant and wonderful presenters. You make for a wonderful couple. I only wish when I'm done with college to find a soul mate such as Hugo found Sonia.
I loved Panico in the O'Mast-Movie. He really has a a morbidly charming "Mafia vibe" to him. Intimidating? Yes. But he certainly sparks the imagination like no other tailor I've ever seen. Great video. Really makes me want to become a Patron.
I've just recently discovered your channel. Subscribed. I'm ploughing through the video's atm. It's funny how I got here, I started watching fragrance video's then bespoke shoes and then this channel popped up (another video about suits). You don't seem to have a fragrance/perfume video (at least not here on YT), I'd be interested in that tho. Anyway, great channel, I'm glad I found it. Great content, I can't believe this channel doesn't have a million subs tbh.
Thank you for such a clear explanation of how you found ST--really appreciated. For fragrance articles by our team, you may refer to Parisian Gentleman (e.g., Guerlain and Caron from Paris). Search author Greg Jacomet. Thank you! ~Sonya
Another great video - thanks! Quick question: 'French Cuff or Single Cuff?' I ask because when I moved from NYC to Singapore - I found wearing the French Cuff warmer during the day.. as one does have to leave an office with air-con for meetings etc. Is it practical in the tropics? Cheers!
Hello. We are fans of both styles of shirt cuffs. Hugo rarely is concerned with comfort over style, so he would wear what he feels is most stylish. I likely would shift to the single cuff if the French cuff distracted me from the task at hand---so I suppose it depends on your personal disposition. Fun to consider, so thanks for your question. Cheers! ~Sonya (and Hugo)
Hi Hugo and Sonya, I’m currently living in Italy and would love to pay Napoli a visit to possibly commission a bespoke suit. Sartoria Manna caught my interest, specifically. I know to expect a hefty price, but would you mind enlightening me on what price range I can expect to pay for a 2-piece summer suit? Any info would help. Thank you!!
Dear friend, send us an email at hugo@parisiangentleman.fr and we'll help you finding the right tailor at the right price for your budget. Cheers, Hugo
Dear Hugo and Sonia, thank you for sharing this information, specially in such a beautiful fashion. There’s an Antonio Solito in Mexico City, high end bespoke tailor. Do you think he’s related to Solito in Naples? Another quick (but probably very hard) question... which of all these great masters would you recommend for gentleman who wants his first Neapolitan bespoke suite? Thankful as always.
Dear Aldo, I have no idea if Gennaro has a relative in Mexico, but I can ask. Concerning your second question, it's impossible for me to answer. I love Ciardi, I adore Peluso, I admire Pirozzi, I respect Panico, I like a lot Manna... etc. Cheers, Hugo
SARTORIAL TALKS dear Hugo, Thank you for your kind reply. Thank you! I guess I’ll try to figure it out before interrupting Maestro Solito. I’ll let you know if I find out. Yes, it was a hard question... sorry. Thanks again Hugo, have an awesome evening!
Hugo is a piece of art :D I could listen to him non-stop. Has something goofy and at the same time 110% masculinity to him. You folks did a great job finding each other. All the very best to you!
Hi Hugo, thanks for sharing this video, interesting stuff. Just out of curiosity, may I ask what does “affordable” price (referring to Manna) approximately mean? If it’s hard to define, then a starting price would also be helpful. Thank you in advance!
A great bargain for something hand crafted. I wished I lived in Europe, Italy, Spain or England. Not to exclude other European countries it is just that I already speak Spanish, English and since Italian.
super travail! Je recherche en vain le documentaire O'Mast sur l'art tailleur napolitain que je n'arrive plus à retrouver, savez-vous où je peux me le procurer?
Might I ask where you guys are based? I'm a Georgia, USA native but also live in Switzerland. Believe it or not Switzerland definitely needs help with the Sartorial skills. Tailors, Shoemakers and Suits are pretty hard to find. So much fast fashion and very overpriced glued together Suits/Shoes.
Hello. We are in France half the time and the USA (Georgia also) and traveling, the other half of the time. Thanks for the heads up on Swiss style; it's been a while since we've heard news on the sartorial landscape there! Cheers! Hugo & Sonya
If you go to Naples, bring a gun and a shovel. The shovel is for all the trash on the streets, gun so that you don't get mugged. And stay away from the train station. I was only passing through once when I went to an academic conference and I get pickpocketed. Luckily nothing expensive, but still.
We lived there for two years while writing the Italian Gentleman, my friend. Not sure when you traveled there, but Naples (and particularly Posillipo) is simply gorgeous in many areas. There are some places with a lot of dog poo on the street and this was frustrating to dodge whenever we walked to the grocery story. Of course, as in every city, there are locations which are unkept, and the Spanish Quarter is known for watch thieves. In regard to pick pockets, the risk at the train station is similar to Paris, in our opinion. Still, we respect your comment and glad you shared your experience, albeit it was not the best of times for you. Cheers! Sonya and Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS I'm not sure when you were there, which could play a role. But looking at the map it's pretty clear that the area you're talking about is kinda posh compared to the rest of the city. If you take a peon bus from the airport to the main train station in the city center, you'll get the idea. That's not to say there aren't nice areas, but after reading the tripadvisor reviews most of which describe the same, if not worse, experience I've had, I'm convinced it wasn't just me having a bad time.
oh...and I was absolutely blown away by how classic Neopolitan style is sooo gorgeous...thank you again
