    Taurus is sitting on a golden gun but never realized that, if the company just offered what shooters wanted for this particular pistol, such as the ability to replace the sights, then it would sell tons more of PT92s, as it seems to be one of their most solid products ever. I'd love my potential PT92 to have a Hackathorn front sight and aftermarket blacked out rear sights, not to mention all the other great upgrades brought up by Yamil.

      Here's my list of Upgrades:
      Beretta 92 Mag Release, Interchangeable Front Sights (Compatible with Beretta 92), Rear Sight compatible with Beretta 92 and last but not least, remove that safety lock!!!
      If they did, Wilson already makes these upgrades!!!

      IMO in recent years, the grip screws from the factory not being very good (sometimes stripping very easily) inconsistent machining/assembling/quality control on the PT-92 have probably hurt this otherwise awesome handgun more than anything else. That, along with the fact that certain parts like the "safety spring" (that V-shaped spring under the left side grip held in place by the one bushing) are listed as "restricted" (maybe this has changed) and are not sold by Taurus to consumers or outside vendors like Brownells. Taurus will install a safety spring or other part if it becomes lost or damaged, but honestly I cannot understand why it is such a big deal to sell a silly part like that V-shaped spring.
      A PT92 with a dovetailed front sight would be great. This pistol's design is so much better than it is given credit for, and with a few tweaks Taurus could sell a lot of these even in the age of Combat Tupperware.

    For years, I have owned and used two 9mm Taurus handguns with their original parts.
    PT 92 AFS (stainless)
    PT 99 AF
    Both have been reliable, durable, and accurate.
    One feature I really like is the 5-inch barrel.

    Two years later, the PT92 still has the lock system. I don't have a problem with it, but I thinks it's unnecessary. I left the sights stock on mine, but I upgraded the grips with some nice checkered wood grips. If I could change one thing about mine, I'd leave off the accessory rail. Like my Beretta 92, I think it would look much cleaner without it.

    • @yrsued

      I don't think they will make this without the lock in a while, they are doing that with the newer guns!!

    • @yrsued
      @yrsued 2 месяца назад +1

      I wouldn't call them trash, they are "Classic" Beretta Sights, the problem is that there are not that many options for these pistols in the aftermarket world, that sucks!! There is not much you can do because the Original Beretta design has the front sight machined into the slide
