They should reopen Asylums around the world there are so many with loose screws wandering the streets. Thanks for the tour. I Love Kayleigh's laugh. lol
Great aerial shots of the old St.Francis hospital, remember it well in the 80's when it was still a hospital. Eerie place at night when we used to swim in the pool behind the main building. That long main building has underground service tunnels for its entire length, thanks for posting.
Classic secret vault great explore and brilliant drone footage with great music at the end goes well with the drone the music is brilliant with the drone respect to the secret vault 👍👍👍👍
That’s the nurse s rooms for the main building I used to live in one of the converted apartments opposite! Full of posh people hated living there. Good to see you got in tho!
Nothing but a old building that the kids destroyed. I prefer when you found bunkers or doing the different tours. Or even just on your bicycle. Love seeing your country. The streets are clean like in Germany. Plenty of old bunkers in Germany that you would get lost in. Plus all the castles that have signs. Enter at your own risk. Been to plenty of them with my mom. Me and my dad even found the bunker where he was caught by the US soldiers He found his iron cross medal, and his pistol. And belt buckle.
I just love the colours of the tiles on the fireplaces, I hate the graffiti tho it looks like the inmates are still there with what they say on the walls, idiots. Great place Matthew xx
Excellent honesty,”spastic in Swindon” used to say this, the quality of people encourages despair at times, all you can do is laugh and forget it and give up completely 😃✌️❤️🇬🇧interesting building.
Detached buildings such as this were often used as acute admission or sometimes intensive care units. If this was the case, the room with the painted windows may have an ECT suite, as patients were often admitted short-term around their treatments... This would normally comprise of two or three adjoining rooms - the largest of which containing a few beds where patients lay to recover from their treatments, which in more recent years would have been done under general anaesthetic in the adjoining room - which would have also had resuscitation equipment for emergency use. I don't think anyone will have been locked in those upstairs rooms for many years. It wasn't unusual to have the staircase sealed off with bars, within wards where all of the patients and staff were moved up or down at once. This meant that they could function with fewer staff than if the whole building was accessible all of the time.
Sometimes basements in buildings can only be entered from outside. The exterior stairwell you saw with the metal covering the door, window, and the exhaust stack going up was the way into the cellar, but that was secured.
Great explore!!! How long has it been abandoned though? To me it looks like the whole complex of buildings were all part of the asylum but quite a bit of it has been redone and reused for other businesses/housing. It it sad the graffiti that is everywhere. Where is the imagination of the kids these days. lol Have a great day and safe travels

Looks like Hellingly hospital.
Mental!

West Sussex that hospital. The older hospitals do look alike.
