The set-up, balance and driver ability are key. The Gobstopper has it all. I've seen a Mustang out-corner a GT-R R33 at Snetterton during a track day. The power of each was similiar but the Ford was set up better. A shorter gearset and stiffer dampers did the trick. Comparison is the point, anyone who says "My Chevy can screw that ricer" or visa-versa is an ignorant tit. The only thing that counts is the timing beam. The Gobstopper was/is a true legend in the tuner community, it always will be.
850 hp in a well working Scooby is really good, but I'd like to know at what boost and what fuel he has going in it, if any know? (It wasn't listed on the website). Very impressive how they developed so much of the car themselves.
You also forget that in general, superchargers are a bit heavier, and take up more space, than an "equivalent" turbo. And the lag on a turbo can be almost completely negated by using certain techniques (heel-toe shifting is a very good example, as you don't need to engine to actually push the car to generate boost, you only need ti to keep spinning) The only problem is that, both of these forced induction methods can upset the balance of the car, which is WAY more important than just power

@xUSAZx Same here but if you put a muscle car in a time attack it wont do as good as the AWD cars. Some muscle cars just has too much torque and power it just doesn't have traction.
@carveriscool this is why the best drivers wont pick around 800hp for their street racing track car. imo the best range for power is 300-350hp with torque to match on street tires. just going 800hp with a million pounds of torque wont do you any good if your slippery slidy all over the track.

Still, I won't brag about a tuned car taking on an Ultima GT-R, as I haven't see it, but something tells me it's not as impossible as you make it seem. Remember, when you modify a car, you can modiify EVERYTHING, not just what they allow you to change in games
