I'm using this dac for around 3 months now and have to agrre with Z regarding its warm and smooth nature. I think it's well worth it's asking price, especially for someone with streaming requirements plus it's headphone applications is really nice ;) P.s I found the sound even more To my liking when used with a 12v lps. Thanks for the review and goodnight from Israel :)
Ive arrived.. im here.. ive realised there is always something seemingly better than what u already have.. in my experience it usually ends in mild disappointment.. i've realised what i have is enough . My music sounds amazing already . Why do i kerp looking at new stuff . Usually ends up being very marginally better than what i have already at best
I mean doing this like a reviewer I have to take into consideration people might have nothing on their desk. So I have to be upfront about where it stands from literally nothing. I do not recommend buying new hardware more than every 6 months
@@ZReviews not a criticism.. just my own observation.. understand your role.. U have pointed me in the direction of some great gear.. now I'm remembering it's about the music.. not the gear
At work right now I currently have a Fiio K9 pro that I just bluetooth into, before that I used to use an IFI Zen blue as a bluetooth receiver that I would run coaxial into my denafrips ares ii. To be fair though, whatever setup I had at work was just my left over gear that I didn't really have a use for at the moment. Bluetooth just made things convenient.
I remember the EF600 review making the hifiman THA thing to buy in the dac/amp combo around 600...(It sells for 649$ now). Is the Ah90 THA new one, bumping down the EF 600? I need to tame down my dual mono Fosi v3 arriving next week...witch one will fit better? @Zeos or anyone..? Got only one pair of hf, they are easy to drive Fidelio, will use amp/speakers 90% of time.
Well, since you asked... Yes, I use Bluetooth to connect my V40 cell that I use as a source to an M200 DAC in my bedroom setup. It connects effortlessly and now I am streaming at 24/96K and it's great. No cables and the control head is right in my hands. As for the Audalytic, this looks OK, but personally I don't care for combo units, I prefer separates. Thinking about your headphone, too. I'm not sure it has a place in my collection, but I am thinking about it.
I have been loving the DO400 for the 6 months? that i have had it as my daily driver. It continues to impress with its sound and features. I like having it as an "always" works all in one for when im messing with all my other stuff.
Ive been debating between the SMSL VMV P2 amp zeos reviewed and the Gustard H26 amp to match the Gustard R26 ill be getting. Would love to hear zeos thoughts on the Gustard H26 as well. Its only $1100.
Hey Z, how does this compare, sound wise, to the JDS Element 3 mk2? I'm in the market for a DAC/AMP combo and the knobby goodness is definitely in my sights.
This is smoother. I have come to be OK with the Element 3's sterile nature. Great for testing with a completely flat response. But if you want some warmth. This is it.
BT on a desktop unit feels like something only used by maybe 10% of the purchasers only 10% of the time. It can also cause interference if its broadcasting if you aren't careful.
Z, Are there now any decent DAC/AMPs that can both amplify speakers (50-75 WPC) and headphones? Ideally, something with phono pre-amps New to all this, trying to start small but consolidate if possible

"Aw-Da-Lit-ik" Pretty sure that's how it's pronounced. Thanks for the review.
Nice. I thought so as well.
Seriously tho. Some folks apparently need ‘Hooked on Phonics’ more than others!
@@davidcoons89 Lol the comment I was about to make is basically this thread. Thank you guys. And learn to read Zeos..wtf

Z, Bluetooth all the time with my ifi Zen Blue (fiber optic). "Love it". Best, D.

I suppose Topping had that monster DX9 thing which did everything. It's like twice the price?
Roon does have the visual waveform display but it's only for "local" files and doesn't work with streaming services.
Bluetooth always with k9 pro and xduoo ta-30 until it died

Z...time to review that DO400 you've unboxed a few months ago.
+1

@@ZReviews Good to know. Thanks!
No Bluetooth? Get that adapter you talked about on your Eris review, but why?

Loxjie A30, Look into it.
How does this compare with the Rose technic rt-5000?
God, tell Zeus that Koss KPH is shit that was shitted by a cheap subwoofer
no clue whats the problem to say audalytic its just like analytic...
Stickers on hifi? Yikes!
My kph40s broke but I have many other headphones. Should I really bother replacing them?
Did you love them as I loved them?
No specs....
Anywhere? Still?
