This was done January 27, 2013.
I had to get this done for a friend late in the afternoon. I only had a couple hours to replace the radiator.
It took me awhile to do and night came quick. Sorry for the poor lighting but this was the best I can do on the video.

I just changed the radiator on my explorer and the plastic bracket that you cut comes out with it, what is the hardest was detaching the ac condenser from the radiator and zip tie it back then carefully slide the radiator out with the side brackets attached. Swap the side brackets to the new one and put it back in, reattach the ac condenser the put it all back together.
Just did a radiator on an 07 Explorer. I've probably replaced half a dozen radiators in my life, and this beat all of them in difficulty by miles, for the sole reason of taking out the old one, and putting in the new one. If I had to do a second one, i'd be a lot more efficient and there would be far less cursing, but just know when you remove all the hoses and bolts, the radiator does not just pull out; it's a bitch!
I wish every how-to video was like this.
Very helpful - thank you. Cute kid too! I remember my daughter hanging out in the garage when she was little.
Quick and detailed. Awesome
I have 2007 ford explorer and I replaced it a murray radiator but I'm having problems with the oil transmission cooler lines the new adapters are to small
Do you which transmission oil cooling line is the one that returns cooler fluid to the transmission? Is it the bottom one or the top?
Cutting anything is completely WRONG! Do not do that!
can't get my trans cooler lines off, even with special tool any suggestions
Drill sadly
Well that's a shit lot of work to replace a radiator. FML: I need to replace mine.
I'm doing one right now and don't see why he cut the bottoms off like that. That's what helps keep the radiator secured and locked in. book time says its a 2.8 hr job.
Hi Kevin, so was it easy to remove?? If so, you got lucky. That is the only reason why I had to cut it. Trust me, even though I cut it, that radiator won't fall off or even get loose.
I just did one on an 07 Explorer. I didn't need to cut it, but I did need to pull with all my strength on the mount while my wife helped drop in the radiator. It was insanely difficult to take out and install, I completely get why he did that. I was ready to light the mf'er on fire.
I have a 2010 ford edge but dont see videos about it being fixed and I'm wanting to learn more about cars and how to fix mine. any thoughts on what this model and year can be similar to? any other ford edge cars similar to the 2010?
@@FixItAngel lol i always cut them .these guys think if u cut it the radiator gonna fall off lol
I miss my skill driver. Battery wont take a charge, what a shame. I think I let it go dead without a charge for a long time.
What about the cooler lines???!!!!!
Coldsmoke on 2:05, those trans oil cooler lines?
So, basically you're showing people how to do the job wrong.
Just take out the fan, rent the tool from a local autoparts store, don't cut shit that was meant to be there.
Run up tough guy
I'm still waiting!! Time and place in Kentucky? All your talk is lame. Dip shit!!
хоть бы изучил,, прежде чем советовать
In Chicago not kentucky. Run up
Yup that narrows it down. Keep falling on your head. It's good for you. When you talk like that "Run up", it shows how much you lack intelligence. Keep wrenching dude and I will keep doing my videos. Have another bad day. Oh I hear an engine knocking!! RECHECK on bay 2!!
