Hello from ottawa! I also have a first responder husband, 3 kids and I work outside the home! I've always been a minimalist at heart and I love watching your videos. Minimalism is not common so watching RUclips videos really helps me to know I'm not an island on my own. I feel like the house cleans itself at this point and every room I walk into is a like a deep calming breath. There is so much that is out of our control, if my house feels like it's under control I feel like I can do anything.
Yes! I love this, thanks for sharing Sarah! A minimal home is divine.
ohh yeah clear counter tops are just heaven and i love walking in the kitchen when there´s nothing on the counters.... Since the kitchen and living room is just one big space ...
Oh me too!! I love it!
I love how you talk about minimalist
Awesome! Thanks for watching Bernice!
Lol my son has tons of Garfield books (from the library) on his floor too!
You are so funny with a good attitude keep up the good work girl!
This video is a year old so I guess I'm pretty late but it's okay that your wardrobe is plain and "boring" because your personality is bright and colorful!
Oh, than you so much!!
My bedroom, kitchen and bath are relaxing. I have packed away everything in Rubber maids with number, and index card directory with RM#, contents, and location,
I packed my daughters toys in 3 boxes, and only one box out at a time, put everything back to get another box. The only time all 3 were out, was when she was rearranging her boxes contents. It worked.
That’s a good idea!
You have a very soothing and pleasant voice! Great content + audio quality + editing. Subscribed!
We have moved into a larger house this year (and love it!) and I have had to purchase more bedding and things to be able to function with overnight company (which happens multiple times a month) but I am finding myself surrounded by things we don't use anymore, and needing to minimize AGAIN (I did once when I was single, again after getting married, and again when I was pregnant with my first, but now it seems the whole household functions so differently, there has been major turnover but the old stuff hasn't all left! I've been taking loads to the donation center but I can FEEL that more needs to go! Thanks for the extra motivation!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching Katherine!
I am the same with my Keurig is like your Soda Stream. It’s just too heavy to move around and my toaster is used several times a day. We just leave them out.
Yep, gotta leave the most used things out.
I started with the junk drawer in the living room. So easy because I could do it whilst watching TV.
There you go, great place to start!
MKondo-- things are 🧰⚒️⚓⛏️✂️TOOLS,do NOT bring joy.🎆🎇
Hello from Nova Scotia! I just found your channel and subscribed! Our kettle goes all day too! Yay tea (and decaf mixed with chicory). Lol
Mmmmm!
@@MinimalistHome I buy roast chicory at the health food store and grind it up. I add both the chicory and some decaf to my cup.
omg loving this video ahhhh i´m here watching in 2021 and wanting to declutter and just live with the fewest things possible!! Minimalism makes me so happy and makes me feel so good both mentally and physically .... Mess makes me cringe and it makes me depressed!!!
Me too! SO much better!
Just discovered you today and subscribed. You’re delightful!!! 😊😊
Oh! Thanks so much!! Thanks for watching Kris!
Good info, fun presentation (shoot it through the wall😂) editing style keeps it interesting. Third or fourth video of yours I've enjoyed. Subbed. Looking forward to more.

I have been asking my family for years NOT to buy me Christmas gifts and, instead to make a donation in my name to one of the charities I support - a local animal shelter and another for scholarships for indigenous peoples - but they still insist on buying me stuff I don't need and it drives me crazy! I inevitably end up taking the piece of clothing or knickknack that they give me to Goodwill...
I’m guessing the impersonal donation doesn’t let them express the feelings they have when choosing a gift for you. Perhaps you could ask for some specific items that will assist you at those charities...think of what the charities would buy with the donation and ask for that instead! Your family might feel more connected when you tell them how the printer or new stapler or doggie bed is making a difference there!
Junk food is “clutter” for your body/gut. I reward myself with an ebook.
I LOVE a good ebook! Who are your favourites?
Just found you, Robyn, & love your videos !!!!
What vacuum cleaner, lightweight, cordless do you recommend? I'm a young 68!
(My spinner mop arrived yesterday & l love it, but bucket is extremely heavy!)
Suggestion: a few videos to help older folks keep a clean house!!!
THANKS!
Hmmm, I use a battery operated dyson a lot of the time!
